I think the logical thing to do if your QB is either too injured or too bad to not completely blow games by throwing the ball to the opposing defensive line is not to completely neuter your playbook but rather staple him to the bench and give a QB with some confidence at least a couple of games. The stubbornness with Nichols absolutely cost the Bombers at least two wins last season.

The mental health angle is a political talking point spawned by the gun nuts nothing more. Mental health is a big issue that needs to be addressed, but it is a lot easier to restrict the ability to acquire fire arms so that nutters don't go shooting up public places. Tackle both issues.

I'm curious to know what the US is willing to do about any kind of "mental health crisis ". They are resistant to most kinds of publically funded healthcare and won't cover the cost of a bandaid for its poorest citizens. So pointing fingers at the "real issue " is clearly just deflecting.

Its actually hilarious when the white national trump supporters complain about this. Its like saying "sure, our guy is a serial killer, but you got a speeding ticket, so conspiracy!". If you look at our recent playoff losses it's been the offence that's let us down. Lapo is predictable and is considered an average OC when compared to guys like Dave Dickinson. Dickinson can adjust on the fly and exploit the other teams defensive weaknesses. Lapo just keeps doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result.

He dressed for 40 games as a rider including 17 in 2016... We got more out of him. Lapo utilized him in a role that was more suited to a running back turned receiver. Basically, the role that Flanders was in in late 2017. I don't see him a someone who would do well in Dressler's role.

I wasn't a huge fan of Flair growing up but as I got older and was able to see more of his earlier stuff, thanks to the internet, the more I was able to appreciate him in his prime. He was a complete package back then and it's amazing to think of the career he had when you consider he was lucky to have survived a plane crash that broke his back in 3 places.

You are wrong. Stamps missed passes for big plays too, that happens in a game. The problem for the Bombers is that they didn't try to make enough plays. Too reliant on Harris and safe passes when the Stamps were all over it. Calgary on the other hand attacked the Bombers D, who held on tremendously hut eventually broke after the offense failed to give them any support. The D played well enough to win that game, the offense hung them out to dry. We have the players on offense to take it to teams, we have seen them do it a lot the last couple years, but lapo won't let the horses run often enough.

(NRA have piggybacked on this myth, brilliantly) Now of course, the Constitution's 2nd amendment was ratified in 1791 - when "bearing arms" was a different concept entirely: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" There are enough folks on the alt right, who haven't moved an inch intellectually, since them.....and still fantasize about forming militias to "deal with" immigrants, "big government", Jews and certain other religious groups, and various folks of race and colour. I have had opportunity to discourse with some of these people - both on-line, and from my days as a Civil War re-enactor...... who represent a perfect breeding and recruitment ground for some form of fascism.

Trouble is ....that issues like gun control have had political filters embedded in them for some time now. Makes it pretty hard to have a rational discussion, with a look to future solutions possible. The root of the problem, in the US, actually lies in historical impulses, and how Americans view themselves and the way they are governed. Guns are well intertwined with the flag and apple pie, as symbols of identity.

Frankly relieved Ray has finally decided to retire, the Argo O-line was unable to protect him well the last few years and he was never fleet of foot.
