  6. He had a whole part of his defense defect....had to redo his oline somewhat....Had to start yr with his backup ...no real back up...rotating door at rb with injuries...he gets some leeway...is also 2-0 in his cup appearances....if they cut him loose we'd be dumb to not go after him He also plays his best players...will bench guys in game....and actually coaches ....no brainer and done all this the last 3 yrs with not near the support and luxuries we have here

  8. I just don't understand why anyone would want to hang onto Streveler at this point. He's been here 4 years and the best he's shown is that he is a back up who won't directly lose you games... even though he is 7-8 as a starter. If you are headed into 2026 with a QB room with the husk of Collaros, Streveler and Wilson (without Wilson getting these next 6 games so show what he can do) that is pretty much throwing in the towel.

  9. The frustrating thing for me is that you know what you have with Streveler. Wilson has been around for more and a season and a half this point. The only QBs who have seen any playtime that are have been worse than Streveler are Morgan (MTL), Masoli (BC), and Walker (CGY). The only QB who has a depth of target less than Streveler is Morgan. Streveler is the only QB in the league who has more than 1 red zone intereception despite being 13th in overall passing attempts. It's not even like he is doing anything with his legs... him and Collaros are neck and neck in rushing yardage, but Collaros has 6 runs of 10+ yards vs 1 for Streveler. If Steveler can't get the job done, and you are unwilling to go to Wilson... what is even the point of having Wilson on the roster? To run the short yardage game when Collaros inevitably gets injured and you don't want to have Streveler do it while he is QB1?

  10. Expecting a pocket with this team isnwishful thinking. Collaros doesn't have a pocket to work with and neither will Streveler.

  11. Yes he is 2-0 as a starter but the Lions didn't exactly look like world beaters in week 2, and I don't know how much credit Streveler can take for week 9 with Vaval picking up 2 touchdowns, the defense scoring and 4 Castillo FGs. You aren't going to lose many games when you put up 40 points but generally the offense is putting up more than 7 of them. In the almost quarter and a half he was leading the offense yesterday, the only time the ball was inside the Saskatchewan 40 was while it was in the air into the waiting arms of a Rider DB or Returner.

  13. if your DT made a difference...or any minimal impact...it reverberates to the ends...and other DT...the teams who's ends eat...have a DT or nose who are collapsing the pocket...and sending the QB right into them When WJ...Jeffcoat....the Hansen Kingbo rotation was feasting and causing havoc...They had Nevis...Stove...Sayles....guys of that ilk causing issues inside

  14. Sadly I gotta agree with this. I'd like to see what we have in the kid. He's been " developing " for 2 years now...or is it 3?

  15. Are you talking Cody Fajardo 2019 West Nominee for MOP? There is a difference between not being able to win the big game and struggling to win any game. I would take Fajardo every day over Streveler. There are very few QBs I wouldn't take over Streveler in the league right now

  16. I think Streveler is just good enough to win games when the D and ST play well and he's had a week of prep time as the starter. We've seen him do this. But I don't see him as a QB who can take over a game or legitimately be our QB of the future. I also think Collaros is going to be right back in the starting lineup, given how this team has managed injuries recently.

  17. Didn't need mistake free football.... need to make less mistakes and stop continually making them... like last game if Sergio makes his fgs or collaros doesn't give away free points trying to force passes downfield bombers.could have won. This team is just not taking the issues they have seriously enough at this point.

  18. it's not anymore....it's currently....he has less recovery than even Schoen had and before retearing his ACL again he had zero burst...minimal ability to separate...or create separation after the catch...It's rare at best for any player save for a lineman to come back first yr post op to show they have regained it all...doesnt happen...Yr 2 tho yes.....they should be back, and if not 90% That's where you need to judge Strev with his running ability. Also any (all) QB's here need and deserve the chance in 2026 camp to show what they can do with legit offensive weapons and an actual pro playbook...or pro coordinator...starting all new will be worse than this yr Right now as mentioned yeah he looks uncomfortable...and very rushed.....and I sure its a combination of what's mentioned...and also how he wired...he very high energy...he needs to slow his process down, a bit as well and then things will develop a bit more on field...and also with him...coaching can fix that but I profess over and over our coaching is killing us...and not just at Q.B If he look same as he does this yr, next yr...well then yeah you cut bait, but judging it now is really not truly indicative...Our offence as a whole all yr has been a clusterfuck...even ZC more times than not looked like a first yr starter Barring a trade...we kinda relegated to what we have in house...and possibly Elgersma...Is ZC gonna play again this yr...let alone next?...no clue...But whoever wins the starting job next yr....you cant roll into the yr with no experienced, let alone capable QB as your number 2 Love Schoen and Strev but we banked on both coming off not even a yr removed from major surgery as guys we were gonna lean on and ignored any other possible/option...and we paying for it Same can be said for dline...Look at the guys who were available in FA...guys who were available via trade (Flo) and we just stood pat cause we figured 2025 would manifest like 2019-2021 and that in itself was wishfull thinking as some those guys were already at their apex and only direction they had was down We grossly mismanaged and misjudged our roster, and looked backward and not forward...had no succession anywhere other than BO in place....and look at us now...teetering on a possible tear down and rebuild We should never have been in this spot yet here we are....and we could really be a lot better than we are, but our coaching isnt where it should be, and we too stubborn to make changes Before I forget...Wilson has the best arm of all our QB's and the best overall skill set...he needs polish and experience.....and well we know here getting the polish and experience is a big ask

Disagree. Collaros is a good QB who's not getting what he needs from his supporting cast. Demski is not a weak receiver.

  21. I’ve been as big of a Strev supporter as there is on these forums, but if whatever’s still going on with his knee/lower body doesn’t recover I’d say the odds are pretty high. Since coming back from the last injury he can’t seem to throw with any velocity, just using his shoulder to throw and doesn’t look like he can put anything into it when he plants.

  22. O- Kolo and the 2 boundary side receivers. (HM Neufeld- love the guy but he’s just too far past it) Kolo plays half the game on his ass, and completely lost in the second level most of the time. Granted our concepts might be kind of shitty but the boundary side guys just can’t figure out how to get open. Wheatfall is a poor man’s Chris Brazzell. One good game then disappears for 3. Mitchell more of the same, except the invisibility starts after one good play. Corcoran’s worse when he starts. None of them can figure out how to come back to the football on a scramble. D- Thomas, Vaval, Vaughters Thomas we’ve discussed forever. Vaughters makes maybe 1 play a game. Not consistent enough at all rushing the passer and terrible in the run game. Vaval is either getting burned or committing PI. He’s shown some really good flashes as a returner though. Great athlete, just not ready for prime time. I think just as much of an issue is who our 3 best are on O and D. Besides Brady, our “top” guys are extremely weak compared to the rest of the league.

  23. I had my doubts about Vaughters after the Stamps shed him, but we've had success with other teams' castoffs. Whatever oomph he had seems to be gone.

  28. I don't think there's any chance Dinwiddie gets fired... but if he did... I can think of another position I'd like him in here... and it would be slightly higher than OC Not that I want Zach to call it a career... he's clearly the best QB we have on the roster now... but something like that would, at least, force our coaching and management to make some changes... 100%... anyone who disagree with this still just hates him for wearing green for so long...

  29. Honestly, our OL is meh though Vanterpool helps a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing lofton at G and eli at C. I actually think WRs aren't so much a problem for us right now. With Wilson, Demski, Wheatfall, Clercius, and then Mitchell/Sterns/Echols. I think Mitchell and Wheatfall should get shutled around with Echols and Sterns. I'm not sold on either guy but thats a pretty decent battle for the last imp wr spot. Our Wrs have under performed, but I think the system is hurting them. It's not an ideal WR core, but Its above average for sure. I agree that too much gets dumped on strev. I think he could do considerably better with the right coach. But he's also about to be 31 and far from 100% healthy. That's hard to bet on, with a team that needs change. I do think he is gonna get a chance though. We will see what he does with it, and how much hogan messes it up.

  30. I believe it is not fair to judge Streveler right now, the guy had MAJOR knee surgery...he can't be 100% wears a huge brace, this affects, mental and physical aspects. Will he ever become a great starter, possibly not but please remember the severity of the knee injury he recently suffered... I have been recently hard on Hogan, and I don't have much faith he is "helping" Streveler at all. Finally, as has been pointed out look at the o-line, how many hits has Zach taken this year compared to his years past in the Peg......look at Brady, Logan, Demski, Strev. when the do run rarely do the get holes, the only time it seems they have a good run is when they do it themselves and break tackles, or "juke" a defender or three.......is it all the players, I am sure a portion is, but again I question how much is also on the OC. In short, I don't care if is Zach, Wilson, Streveler, Elegsmaera, I don't think any of them have a great chance with the talent and schemes they have to work with.........sorry but those crying for a new QB, even if you get your wish, it won't solve the offence.......

  33. Strev is a veteran. If he hasn't figured that out yet I doubt he ever will. He's had NFL coaching and hasn't improved. Think it's time to give Wilson some reps.

  34. This right here… we’re basically arguing and hoping someone will figure out how to make chicken salad out of this chicken sh!t offence…

  35. Given that our OL is ****, our receivers are ****, our OC is ****... i just don't get piling on the backup qb... not like collaros looks any good either. Problems with this offense go far beyond qb.

  36. His stats are pretty similar to what he had in 2019... Accuracy the same at 66.7, Efficiency close at 72.4 now vs 72 in 2019, INT rate worse this year at 7.6% compared to 6 then... both numbers absolutely horrible but I digress, but he has absolutely refused to run the ball compared to then... 726 Yards rushing in 2019... even 272 yards through 13 games last year compared to 106 this year through 12.

  37. Yup no matter the situation always repping our colors wherever I go. 🙂

  38. To continue to pile on Streveler The Bombers are 7th in the league is TD drive percentage at 16.8%. Montreal is last at 11.6% Streveler was 4/16 Week 2. 0/1 Week 5. 1/8 Week 7. 1/7 Week 8. 1/13 in week 9. 0/4 in week 14. So overall that is 7/49 so... something like 14%... the only offense worse than the Bombers with Streveler at the helm is Montreal and their pu pu platter of QBs they've trotted out this year The Bombers are SIGNIFICANTLY better with Collaros at the helm. Whether that is a change in playcalling to better fit Streveler, or because of his knee, or Collaros is just that much better is up to debate. Sure he is 2-0, but getting those wins against a BC team at home coming off a bye when Rourke is known to have the yips against the Bombers, and then against Toronto when Special Teams and the Defense were playing out of their minds (Jefferson had the highest rated PFF game ever if you are into that metric) is a tad misleading.

  39. Anyone pencilling in those home wins against good teams, even with Collaros healthy? I don't know. We haven't beat a single winning team yet. Not one.

  41. Just insane people write streveler off based on the **** show that is our offense this year... guy has won both his starts, and yeah it wasn't always pretty but neither has collaros been. Our OL is making life hard on qbs.
    2 points
  42. Streveler is not the answer. Never has been, never will be. Gadget QB with terrible mechanics and poor decision making. Thanks for 2019 but time to move on. Need to see what we have in Wilson at the very least. Will O'Shea give Wilson a chance? Not a chance.

  43. we could even run 30 front, bracket both lawler and white, run a S in the middle, and have a lber in the short mid. defensively, hamilton gives us lots of options to counter them. If we don’t try to blitz or run 40s with two canadians or more.
    2 points
  44. I would have signed Lawler over Schoen. You know that. I think not re-signing Lawler this offseason was an idiotic move by our GM. 100% Yep...the Elgersma train has got to be picking up steam now. Strev is not good enough of a passer for this league. Either we use him more effectively or our season is over. Dropping him back in the pocket hoping he can execute the offence is wishful thinking. Hogan needs to design something for a QB with a below average arm but can run.

  45. or just sashay through it Not bringing Houston on ...he with experience and knows BLM and the receivers is boneheaded for Vaval....he's not ready yet, and may never be....his niche this yr is returning and it suffers when he plays defense Mitchell I would swap out for Echols and see what he brings....cant bring less and he has a nice skill set...Not sire what happened to Mitchell, or if its in his head now but just seems so tentative, and unsure, and shows zero explosion...let alone jump in his step I know we beat Jake to death but he doesn't help us out there at all...he's a body and takes reps...Korn too....insignificant reps at best....so why? We give BLM time in pocket....good luck with that Bring on an athletic Baily to help spell off our ends AND actually use Person for more than 6 reps....Drop Ayers...again for basically just ST use and get Adams/Woods on roster...preferably both and doable if we go 3 nationals on oline...and then re-assess how defence looked....cant look worse, and we already know Woods and Adams can play, and anyone who thinks Thomas and Korn brings more than either of them....likely even Bailey really is lost in the dark like Osh Toss Vibert in as well as the extra guy, he may surprise and you dont know unless you try guys. Due to injury we had to put an unused and really unknown Speller in and he Centered us to a Grey Cup win with lockdown play...who here would have predicted or were pining for that?....Nobody Just because Osh rosters them being the head coach doesn't mean they the best...we have seen that over and over his time here that a lot of his choices are strictly a personal like As with Strev....guy is less than a yr off reconstruction, so to expect him to run this yr like before....aint realistic, next yr tho....more than likely and needs to be offered that chance.....Has he looked bonafide this yr...no....has shown signs at times, but as mentioned has been hampered by scheme...OC/coaching and supporting cast He looked worlds different in his start he had basically 2 weeks to prep for, and if handed it over to him now and sole prep time....who knows, but we need to adapt who we use/what we do on offence and actually put in the coaching and prep work OC needs to wisen up...create a plan that caters to his strengths and others right now and if we have to pare down the playbook to what works...and what we do well...A lot of it is with BO dominance in varying ways....and work off that...Not much more we can do really...nobody is gonna float us a starter, and trotting ZC out there anytime soon is about as dumb...or dumber than us trotting out Schoen. He and the team need to think of ZC longterm health now....guy got knockedthefuck out last game....compounding the other huge shots he's took Fortify our defence with the best guys we have available that can create havoc/confusion Manage the offence with our bread abd butter and tailor it accordingly, and not try to be fancy The remainder of the season and any success we may have in play-offs (and I believe we can have some) is completely in coach's hands now...Time to show they deserve the accolades many give them, and coach this team and make the smart choices/moves 2/3rds of the season in the books surely has been enough time to figure it out and see who/what is the issues
    2 points
  46. which is fine....you adjust ratio geared toward your talent and roster...I'd easily flip ratio positions if it helps team..Thats what good smart coaches do...you dont let a talent walk out the door cause you like a guy like Thomas...Kolo....etc Osh....not so much...to him it is what it is no opinion or idea is necessarily a bad one.....save for the insanely absurd one....They all should carry weight and consideration
