With how good they've looked in parts of some games (1st half vs Elks, whole game vs the Als and Banjo Bowl, first half of the Argos minus literally 2 plays) and how poorly they've looked in others (2nd half Elks, last 5 minutes against BC, 2nd game against Calgary) I would be equally surprised at them completely tanking the rest of the season and missing the playoffs as I would be that they put it all together and make a real run at the cup. Just a real Jekyll and Hyde team.

Right now I have internet through Rogers and it is the 1.5 GB/s plan and its $80? My work pays $75 of it so that is pretty great. Costco has pretty good deals if you go to their kiosk in warehouse. What is the Bombers record in OT games since they've instituted the mini games? They can't have played in much more than a half dozen.

I thought they should have gone for two in the moment. Bombers have made both their two point convert attempts this year, and historically the league has been hovering around 45-50%. You are riding the high of momentum with that last minute TD drive and the Riders are back on their heels. A few things working towards just finishing it off on that one play in no particular order 1. Tiebreaker - If the Bombers had missed they are down 1 in the tiebreaker, now they are down 6 (and could have been 8) 2. Bombers are among the worst teams in TD drive percentage, and similarly in RD TD % 3. Saskatchewan is one of the better teams in TD drive percentage, including RD TD % 4. On defense, the Bombers are one of the worst teams for opponents drives turning into touchdowns, they are middle of the pack when the opponent gets into the red zone though 5. On defense, the Riders are middle of the pack in preventing teams from driving for a TD %, but they are the best at preventing teams from scoring TDs when they are in the end zone 6. You are on the road, and the offense was having issues with the crowd noise (as evidenced with that time count in OT... why not call your timeout there?!?) Wilson was banged up earlier in the quarter... I don't think he was available so you are missing one of your big play makers I think the scales were tipped way towards... lets try to finish this off ASAP

My theory is that the Rider fans realized that having a fan favourite short yardage guy is pretty fun and now they are just way over compensating based on how they treated Streveler. But everyone knows that Stevens isn't a QB. He's a guy under centre who can push the ball forward. If you are gonna have him pass the ball you are going to have a bad time. There's a reason why he's only attempted 21 passes on 80 game.

This team is kind of infuriating because the vibes are so off, but if they were to even be like league average in the red zone, not even exceptional, I wouldn't put it past them to be 10-2 instead of 6-6. Both losses to the Elks, the loss to the Lions and this one are ether just collapses or inefficiencies. I think the first Ticats game and the Stamps loss are really the only two games that feels like you couldn't put your finger on the scale for one or two plays and the Bombers end up on top. The fix for that would be some sort of consequence for continually not making those plays but here we are

It was great seeing BA so involved with all the youth outreach the Bombers do throughout the year... Visits to schools, youth camps and everything else.

So obviously RedBlacks are on a historic run and the offense is taking lots of the heat because of Dinwiddie, Maier and the complete collapse of their run game but when do people start acknowledging just how terrible their defense is. The league tracks 11 defensive stats and they are last in all but two of them; knock downs where they are 8th and interceptions where they are T5th. The difference between their opponents TD drive percentage and 2nd down conversion rate and the team in 8th is similar to the difference between the 1st and 8th place team in those categories! Doesn't help that they are cycling in almost double digit new players each week and have about 20 players on the 6 game IR

No fun allowed I guess. But really Lions are the last team that should be throwing this shade. Hamilton hasn't won a Grey Cup since 1999, but at least they've participated in one in the time frame the RedBlacks have been around.

So how does Nichols go from a GTD to a stint on the 6-game? Bombers always seem to like to play it fast and loose with the injury list but this is egregious even for them.

If the team from the first half last week shows up it should be a good game. If they Jekyll and Hyde it again or only the team from the second half shows up it will be a long night.
