Now show me the stats for when his decision making became increasingly boneheaded in key moments. Or the stats for how many passes were completed only because we had Lawler or Schoen making ridiculous catches at the cost of their rib cages. Or the stats for how well he performed in cold weather when the most important games were being played. He was significantly worse after he returned from the injury he had in the Edmonton game. The decision making, the ball security, the accuracy … it was all trending downward. Almost like he was breaking down over the course of the season.

The problem is this is what the Mafia sees when they look at the team.

Yeah I mean can you blame people though? We’ve had a great 8 year run, 4 straight grey cups, 2 championships with in that time, people’s standards are high right now. 2-5 with an aging team is ugly no matter how you spin it, the fans know the standard for excellence and the club isn’t meeting those standards. I would be more troubled if we just accepted the mediocrity.

Alexander should be on the bench and Holm should be at safety. Honestly our secondary isn’t bad at all. Nichols, Bond and Ford have all been playing good football. It’s hard on your secondary when the QB gets 5 plus seconds to throw every down. Unfair to expect your DB’s to contain coverage on a huge field.

It just goes to show how clueless this regime is right now. We’re 2-5, how is a 33 year old with no upside at all any sort of answer? Shouldn’t the PR be used for young players that have some sort of upside. Let’s say best case scenario he’s able to contribute a little bit after two years off of football, we’re going no where fast this year but the regime clearly still thinks we’re contenders. We’re just taking a spot away from a guy that can contribute here in the future. I don’t like it.

Because quarterbacking in the cfl us **** since Reilly retired and blm messed up his shoulder. Said it a million times the last few years, collaros being the best qb in the cfl is an indictment of the quality of quarterbacks. How did collaros wind up with the best stats? Well he had a hot summer. Seriously he went from the run away slam dunk MOP candidate to not even being his teams nominee as the season wore on. It's the cfl, does anyone believe that if collaros really was playing well that Oliveira would have had the opportunity to be the teams MOP candidate? No-one saying it was an instant drop off, but this version of collaros started showing up last season for sure. Age is a mother ******.

100% Colloros's decline was evident last year. We talked about it extensively. Many of us wanted the Bombers to keep Brown over Collaros. He couldn't throw on target - overthrows, lame duck underthrows, happy feet, panic under pressure - it was like he was slow to process or wasn't willing to take a hit. That was when he had decent pass pro. Dru Brown's throws by contrast were on target and had more zip. Now that some key receivers who bailed him out are injured Zach's deficits are even more on display for all to see. This year is shaping up to be 2017 again for Zach.

Not to alarm people but rumour is they're bringing in #22 as a QB on the PR.

We haven’t had good pr useage in a while. I don’t think you can assume it’s a flyer and he will be cut in two weeks if he has nothing left. Lucky is still sitting on the pr in that kind of flyer role. I mean we had a punter most all of last year on the pr with a bad punter on the ar. We have 4 wrs on the pr, one early tc cut who couldn’t crack the team last year either plus a flyer on lucky. 2 imp guards that failed at switching to T previously. Our best kr, our worst camp db, a bad global db, a global rookie and a Canadian teams lber. If we were making sensible moves we would’ve cut bridges for grimes or lucky. Or made moves to bring in positions of actual need like de, wr/kr, T, etc. NFL cut down day doesn’t yield what it used to. The pr expansion and amount of guys that shuttle on and off now keeps guys hanging around waiting for a pr shot. You can still find value, but it’s not an immediate value add or a good trial for next tc any more. We need better pr management all year.

Grimes screams of a guy we wanted a long time ago when he was good but couldn’t get him. Now he’s available and we are fulfilling a want. we could’ve had moncrief, who what ever he has left is better and who made grimes expendable in edm lol. Just ugly ugly move. He's got quick feet tho...lol But yeah...he hasn't been good...and even last year media jumped all over the hype from TC when Osh made some comments...he wasn't bad per say last yr...but he wasnt all that people talked him up to be...and he was targeted lots last yr too...hence the high tackles, and the knock downs...with volume thrown at you...you are gonna get knock downs Kramdi tho has no reason starting other than Osh's love affair for him for what reason I am not sure...and his age now...his physical attributes...this is his upside...and if Osh and some of you fans are fine with the worst SAM in the league then not sure what we will do...I'm not fine with it I can see if that was the one spot we "needed" the Canadian for ratio and was our best option for a Canadians use....then that would be reasonable...but we need 1 Canadian to always be on the field and Ford has that locked down...and should for yrs now...so prudent recruiting/drafting/free agent work should be to find another Canadian who can play that spot as back-up/rotation . The wasted reps with no upside/now no good Thomas....Schmeck who hasn't made any leaps forward...tho it's hard when Thomas gets most dline reps out of anyone not named WJ...So we effectively not even allowing ourselves to even see if he is worth hanging on to...or just replacing....Once Lawson is back he will be the prime Canadian Dline guy...and thats a good thing...Hubert has some serious potental and I want to see us get him to add 10...15 pounds and be that multi spot guy....but relying on him right now for major reps is again...not the best option for us if we want to have a dominant line to compensate a bit for weakassed OverHill and Flailing BA...and non-impactful Kramdi. Sadly as it sits we could do an actual in-season shift/transition with guys already here, and make us significantly better...but Osh won't...and to me if there is a bit of friction and not seeing the same vision with Walters/Miller and Osh...and an unwillingness to change his ways...then why not pull the pin...we wont be any worse and from being in a similar situation before myself..I know damn well that the players will come out and play with extreme fire and grit...and some who are almost kind of going thru motions now due to this mess...would look like night and day difference I sure it wont be publically stated...alluded to or even talked about by media here but I can with confidence say that there is some dissention and frustration in the room...and its not as close and "tight" as they claim

At first I thought his Cup struggles were due to the weather...then, after the second Cup flop, I figured he's tightening up in high pressure situations. Now the pressure is weekly, as we're in a big hole and he's sensing it all slipping away, and he is making ridiculous mistakes, lots of happy feet and floundering. Physically he's no spring chicken but I think his head is really messing with him. Although...fearing losing your physical talents can mess with your head, too.

6 game is just an “in-case” thing these days. I don’t know why you even have a 1 game IR at this point, I don’t think there’s any real reason to use it

I would have hoped that we would have brought in some help on the D-line. It’s a glaring weakness of our team. We’re a WJ injury, or an Adam’s or fox injury away from it being a complete disaster, but sure let’s bring in a 33 year old DB who hasn’t played in two years in the fold.

Stats don’t tell the whole story. Keep in mind zach has been playing at a very similar level since we clinched the west last year. The problems have been amplified, and I for sure didn’t see the wheels falling off this bad. And he was rusty for the first two games or so. last year was the most bipolar season of Zachs career, or any I’ve seen in a long time. He was either throwing tds on every drive and destroying teams or tossing pick 6s and going 2n out. The fact is, going all in on a qb in his 35th and 36th year seldom works out. The bottom always falls out on old QBs at some point. Betting against Collaros in the off season was smart money. Output Stats don’t summarize performance at qb. Remember when mbt had more yards than zach in a mop year? Is blm the mop right now?

Then why were so many of us pointing it out last season already? If you really get belligerent about this I will go dig up old threads to prove it...
