  5. Dude, this is literally happening in reverse this year. Qwan'tez Stiggers played a year for some random indoor league and then for the Argos and is now entering the NFL draft. Why is the CFL a joke?

  6. CFL is crazy. We also draft 30 year old globals. We draft guys as Canadians who’ve never been here. Is what it is. More talent to ni positions the better.

  8. Game time: 9:00 pm Sportsnet and CBC - HNIC, last game before the clocks go forward for Daylight Savings. The story: Top 2 teams in the West percentage-wise in another all-Canadian Saturday night National broadcast match-up. Last time was the most “playoff-style” game seen this year, with the Jets winning and the Canucks whining. What do they have for an encore?

    Dru Brown

Signing Strev and putting more packages in for the big man than what we did with Dru Brown last year I would think will help with ZC's health/play/focus this coming season. At least that's the hope I would think. I can't see Strev standing on the sideline with hat on backwards with clipboard as much as we saw with Dru Brown.

  13. Game time: 9 PM TSN3 Storyline: the rematch on the West Coast. Jets load up at the trade deadline, and the rosters expand. New players won’t debut until Monday, but the first of a back-to-back. Brossoit to start apparently.

This is the game. I’m not sure if there’s clips of players going into the stands, but the enndzones were clearly pelted with snowballs by the middle of the 4th.

  18. should've been more clear. I think if a safety leads the team in tackles, like Lysack did in 2005, that safety probably played on a pretty shitty defence.

    Dru Brown

ZC didnt take a step back...the extra hits...and appearance of being slower to process...was his stubborn nature toget it all in one shot....he went away from the more surgical carving up of teams and reaping the rewards of the bigshots being there from teams trying to adjust...he gets back to that he will be just fine...his seeming to have happy feet, and being spooked in the pocket was a result of that bad tendancy he got in...and is easily fixed. He then a lot of times foced things he shouldn't have, and you know damn well both he and coaches know this...easily fixed...and sure has been already. Brown...still not sold on him, and we are just fine with ZC and Strev...probably even better. Strev when his time comes...will turn out to be the better starter than Brown when all said and done...Wish him well, but he in pretty precarious spot in OTT and can see a world of ugly coming from there...and not all his fault but don't think he has the chops to over come it...and can see him getting smacked arouind a lot there...frustrated....and forcing things and looking very much like a first time starter I also am on the side of due to his build/body type he takes a beating and it will affect his play...and likely injury woes.....guess we shall see

  22. MBB Jets’ posters on target today! Well done all, let’s keep the energy up. Have to say again surprised how vocal the contingent of Jets fans were in Seattle last night, and more so in Buffalo last week. When we scored the cheering was quite noticeable. Expecting a healthy dose of Winnipeggers in the crowd in BC tonight. Our fans certainly travel well.

  23. Dear Vancouver Hey you kids are probably saying to yourselves: I'm gonna go out there and grab the world by the tail! and wrap it around and pull it down and put it in my pocket. Well I'm here to tell you that you're probably going to find out, as you go out there, that you're not going to amount to jack squat!

Vegas for me & Goalie Marc Andre Fleury. That smirky little bastard. Got hot at the right time in the 2018 Western Conference Final against us. I don't think he's played at that level since & has bounced around like a basketball.

The Loins game where Yosh didn't ride his guy to the outside is one i remember... DE cut back in and was right there when Zach turned back and was stripsacked. My kids are watching Harry Potter now. I forgot how good Alan Rickman was.

Which is true, but says far more about the quality of qbs currently in the cfl than anything else. Honestly Brady Oliveira saved collaros' ass last season. If Brady didn't get rolling collaros didn't have the same ability to carry the offense he did a few years ago.

Brown has proved nothing as a starting qb.....Until he's been behind centre from the get go in Ottawa, and proves to the fans there, he's got the goods, then he remains just another good back-up qb. dealt to them from the Bombers....Wish him all the luck in the world...He's got a lot of growing to do and 'should/could be' what they're looking for in Redblack country....we'll see

    Old Bomber games

Watching games from back in the day, it's astonishing the big hits that a QB was expected to absorb ... especially a guy like Hufnagel who played from the pocket a lot. Like, check this play out, Huffer gets obliterated after he throws a gorgeous deep pass to Tuttle. No penalty, he bounces right back up. Those guys were tough back then. It's so awesome to have access to these old games, you can really see how the game has changed over the years. It seems like it was around 2004-2005 when the CFL started making rules to try to keep quarterbacks alive.

  39. https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/03/09/blue-bombers-mourn-the-passing-of-dave-ritchie/ Funny thing is I'm old enough to remember when he came on, 1998 (middle of the season) one of the worst Blue Bomber season ever, stayed on for 6 years until getting sacked because of a crummy season.....hard to believe that was 20 years ago. So he was basically the first Bomber coach I could remember by name
