  2. What if they are a fullback/Running back with military service in their background, who also rescues old ladies from burning buildings?

  4. The CFL would have to hold a special lottery draft for a guy like the Seal - way too special to be lumped in with the the average player!

  5. Yup as it should be. Blue and Gold in his veins. Oh and Argos suck.

  6. We probably missed the boat on this. I feel like the could have been a deal to be had earlier... 😂 Walters: How about we swap your 1st overall pick for Damian Jackson, straight up. Jones: Not a chance! Walters: Do you know how many different positions you could convert him to? Jones: Jones: You got yourself a deal!

  9. I wouldn't say his departure was nasty. In terms of Harris and the chip on his shoulder, I would say it was amicable.

  10. Damien Jackson is truly legendary I feel that in years we will be talking about him like SNL talked about Bill Brasky. Truly a man of the people for the people.

    The MLB/Goldeyes Thread

It's a continuation of the MLB story, just like mentioning the the Golden Knights. -------- Jays - Yankees this weekend. Should be fun. I hope Stro-Show throws high and in on Bichette to get the rivalry going. (I don't want him to hit him) The only thing I don't like about the Jays-Yankees series is that I have to listen to the Jays godawful announcing, with the exception of Shulman.

  13. Many TSN turning points but the short handed 3v1 the Flames had on the Jets PP that would have tied it was key as Helle came up big. Or call up the AHL team and play LB till post season starts. 🙂 Kidding but a balance of trying to keep some momentum heading into the playoffs and resting some players that badly need it would be ideal.

  14. I mean yeah - a Demski doesn't come along very often - so may as well draft a full back.

  15. If the bombers take a fullback with 1 of their first let’s say 1 of the first 3 picks they have, they have lost the plot.

  16. Nice to see the pp click... But damn that 5 minute major they didn't get anything.... We're going to the playoffs! Keep Connor on that second line.

  18. See and if I look at a teams roster and don't see Canadian receivers my first thought isn't "well they need to draft one high" It's "well they don't value that so will go Canadians in other areas"

  21. totally agree with you here... this is Ferguson's complete write up on his projected 20th overall pick Justin Sambu: Every year I seem to draft Winnipeg an interior defensive lineman, while nobody has really laid claim to being ‘next’ in the Bombers rotation. Thanks Marshall... now I know exactly what kind of player Sambu is and why the Bombers would select him...

    Game 76 : Flaming Out

The flames only out worked the jets when Bowness messed with the lines in the 2nd. After he went back to the original lines jets outshot Calgary 25 to 11.

  29. Well. That’s different lol. I mean. Is Damien Jackson in the draft. I’m assuming if he was he’d be long gone before the bombers first pick. You just don’t find that type of talent in the cdn draft tho.

  30. sack did really mess him up though. It took a long time to over come that first stretch. I’d be surprised if they did too. Only way I see it is if it’s a fb with another position. A rb, a te type who can play wr etc. and I don’t think we will even do that. To me, it would make a lot of sense to bring back Konnor burtenshaw, and Daniel petermann. Pete is 28 and a fa. Then spend late picks on another wr and maybe fb to bring into camp. Cole Adamson was being moved to ol, but he’s undersized and pretty athletic. If he could execute fb stuff that’d be an easy way to get a spare ol on the roster with out losing out. Any athletic undersized lineman would be a decent candidate to fill that roster spot.

    Game 76 : Flaming Out

Why? I don’t get this attitude. To be the man you gotta beat the man. There is no easy series in the playoffs. They all are difficult. Not wanting to play Vegas is weird. Cuz like playing Dallas would be easier right. Nope. It wouldn’t be.

  35. was talking with a friend about it this morning... it's something the true greats of improv are always thinking about. How to make the others in the scene "break". Farley and Ferrell were/are both great at it, though their examples are usually more broad and noticeable. Farley was famous for taking about 30% off in dress and then come show time he would dial it WAY up just to bust the other people in the sketch.

  37. Brubacher falls in the same category I think and maybe Una This draft appears to be much stronger in depth than recent years, we should be able to get 3 good players. By the way good post M Silverback, interesting to get an informed take, I'll probably use it in my next 3 down article😉

  38. I watched every game for one RSEQ team for the last 4 years, and am in no way an actual football scout, but here's my take on some of the RSEQ players: Ben Labrosse and Kevin Mital - they are two of the three best football players I've seen in the RSEQ. The other was Josh Archibald, now on the BC Lions. Labrosse and Mital will definitely make CFL rosters this season. Both should be impact players in the CFL. Nathaniel Dumolin-Duguay - He's at least a backup guard in the CFL now, starter down the road. Laval OL are really well prepared to play at the next level, providing they have the size, athleticism, which he does. Dawson Pierre - Hodge has him going in the 4th round. If a team gets him in the 4th round they've scored. I'd be shocked if he doesn't have a decent CFL career. Special team player at a minimum. Every game I watched he made an impact. Totally disruptive force on D. Draft writers talk about him playing in the box in the CFL. I think he could stick with safety, be a Taylor Loffler type. I'm a big fan of his. Frédérik Antoine - Depending on the team, I think he could make a roster next season. Laval's offense was so good he probably didn't stand out as much as he could have on another team. Fast, smooth, good hands. Had a good combine.

  39. Hodges 2nd mock draft is better than his first. The guy is amazing in his predictions. Now if he could misspell Ferguson 3 times in one post he would be even better.😉 Before anyone goes off the deep end I'm kidding

So not a random incident as the screenshot would suggest - the two men knew each other and had been in a dispute prior to the attack. Still very violent and shocking though, not what you expect to see when you pop into BK for your morning coffee. https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2024/04/03/suspect-sought-after-slashing-inside-burger-king
