  1. Hard no on Kelly ever. No matter what. He should be banned from th league.

  3. I'm a big believer in second chances, but Kelly's personality and track record indicates that this is his core personality and unlikely to change. He might suppress it for a while under duress, but leopards and spots...

  4. 99% of the fan base including on here would toute his second chance as soon as he won a game. Thankful we won’t go after him, it’s gonna be edmonton that does imo.

  5. Faj > Kelly... 100% of the time for me... Faj may be a bit of a dink but at least he's a decent human being...

  6. Talk is about Chad Kelly, not Mike Kelly.

  7. Apologies for being away for so long. You probably already heard the answer, but it was a called QB sneak. And then when Hamilton subbed on too many guys and none stayed out on Wheatfall, he signalled to Strevy/Strevy noticed it (not sure which was really first), and touchdown.

  8. Doug doesn't like kicking off in both halves and said so during the Edmonton game and in the post-game show. O'Shea very clearly believes that kicking off twice is okay if he gets the wind in the long quarters. So, I was curious to find how many times each team had kicked off twice (as a proxy for 'taking the wind in the 4th').

  9. He's also well past his 2nd chance.

  10. probably. Give him a big front loaded bonus then he decides to retire rather than report and keep the bonus

  11. Hard pass on Kelly, I believe in second changes but not for that turd

  12. Yup...stem momentum...or gain momentum....and as seen...majority of time we just make the stupidest choice. That's quite the disparity and its also quite troubling. Osh caught lightening in a bottle...rode it right down to a limp bloody stub...lightening rarely strikes same place twice

  13. VAJ makes 465,000 Harris 453,000 Brown 390,000 BLM 375,000 Zach at 600,000 is being majorly over payed. Kelly makes 615,000 but honestly he's better than Zach when healthy. Rourke makes 624,000 but hey he actually looks like a difference maker QB. Walters screwed us for next year but reupping Zach.

  15. I was talking about Mike Kelly.... bring back the wild cat and get rid of the highschool shotgun formation baloney!!

  16. He's too big of a risk because of physical limitations from his injury before you even factor in the BS.

  17. I agree that Kelly (Chad) is likely too big of a risk due to the off field stuff. But, I also hope the Bombers move away from "good in the room" and "character" as the top criteria for retaining or obtaining players. That's how we end up with former Marines and endless years of Jake Thomas. Talent first if you want to win. Don't want a room full of headcases, but I'll take a few super talented ones. Especially on a team that really lacks high end talent like the Bombers.

  18. Yea...I'm sure. Lapo would have control of his QB. Collaros can easily play a ball control style. He doesn't like it, but he could. I can't even believe that anyone would even entertain the notion of bringing back Mike Kelly. This is just insanity. I couldn't care less about his perviness, the guy was an absolute disaster as a coach, an even worse GM, and single handedly destroyed our reputation and made us the laughing stock of the league. I would rather hire the Saskatchewan guy who likes to poop in Winnipeg planters than Kelly.

  19. Apparently they wouldn't be. Heard that the Bombers would still get their dressing room.

  20. "Well other people did bad things too!" lol look at you defending a well known multiple time POS. lol. **** Kelly and any team that employs him. He's well past his 2nd chance. I fully believe MOS will ride the vets that want to stay right to the unemployment line. It's a shame but that seems to be the plan.

  21. Nope. Our coaching staff themselves are resistant to change so I can't see them telling ZC to change things up.

  25. People were happy as **** with the Hamilton game where he was getting the ball out short and quick.... but that ain't Zach's default

  26. very un surprising. In general I would take the ball for any thing short of mad weather. But our O in the 3rd is soo bad again this year we might have done better to run or kneel and limit our offensive snaps lol

  27. Interesting stat. I've been a diehard Bomber fan for decades. I'm currently on vacation in the Azores but I made the time to listen to this past weekend's game (5 hr difference from Winnipeg) much to my wife's chagrin. But I tuned out after the third quarter because I was so frustrated with their play including the business of not receiving the ball to start the 2nd half. (I think Doug Brown thought the same.). I'll still be there to the end but I lost faith in O'Shea and his rostering and other mind-numbing decisions when he kept that ex-US Navy Seal, Damien Jackson, on the roster for a whole season. What a waste of a roster spot! End of rant. By the way they make some excellent white wines on Pico Island. Cheers. 😊

  28. Highest paid QB showing up 1 out of every 6 games isn’t a recipe for success

  29. This kind of mentality is exactly what caused the mess we’re in right now. What kind of hopium are you huffing that makes you think Zach can get it done? Just watch him. His arm is toast. The majority of his throws are either hospital balls or complete ducks and you think it’s the personnel around him or the play calling? It doesn’t even matter if you factor in all the other struggles on offense, there’s not many throws out there that he is making confidently anymore regardless of play call, protection or personnel.

  31. we mostly talked about dooley. Dixon is a hell of a football player too though. one of those tc mvps in the nfl with the jags. more of a kongbo than a pure pass rusher.

They released more 3 day passes. Now is the chance to buy some before they sell out again. Use the link below as the one of ticketmaster still says sold out. https://am.ticketmaster.com/bombers/buy/concert-series-social-pass-ext?promocode=R0NGRVhUMjU%3D

  35. You sure about that? Lapo has his system and it's been the same for ever. Not all that different from what Hogan is trying to do, just lapo is better at it. For my money collaros would struggle in a lapo system because it relies on a lot of short passing which is absolutely the weakest part of collaros game.

  36. Yep...hence what we have seen this year. Not saying it's going to happen, just saying it's what needs to happen. I think we may have been a lot better off hiring Lapo over Hogan. Lapo love him or hate him, would not have continually tried to put a square peg in a round hole.

  38. It may not be Younger's choice. We don't know how much O'Shea is involved and we have too many steers instead of bulls on our D-line and linebackers.

  39. Every one needs to do better in the coaching staff. Jy has not taken the step forward I had hoped he would after last years brilliant adjustments. That said, with what we are married to on the dl, I don’t think JY could do any thing other than drop every one and hope for the best. We’ve managed to limit tds and red zone better than any one else. but honestly some of that has looked like we’ve been as lucky as good. Now i’ve seen time this year where we have repeatedly failed to get deep enough in the second level and play too far off in the 3rd level. Giving away uncontested first downs on second and long. Being married to tony jones really hurts our pass D. In our scheme we need a guy who can either get deep enough to take away the mid field by first down marker on 2nd and long, or one who can disrupt on a regular basis by pass rushing. And jones is just lost in decision making and seldom deep enough. In the pass rush he’s little more than a guy trying to block a blocker. The Dl is the real heart of the problem as we all know. With two canadians on the field of half the snaps we aren’t gonna disrupt or get pressure. WJ can still make plays, but aside for the precious few games were he turns it on, he’s the worst pass rushing starting de in the league. He’s also one of the worst run stoppers. He needs to be a rotational guy, and even then you gotta keep on him to not coast. Even the rest of Vaughters, woods, lawson and adams don’t have the answers. I like woods, lawson and adams a lot, but neither is the guy who plays the most snaps. Vaughters has been solid mostly, if unspectacular. And is really yet another 3rd guy in an ideal rotation. Imo, DL gives the best value for cap hit in free agency. But it’s also a hit or miss position.

  42. All I know is just get in, and anything can happen. I don’t think there are any true favourites this year. BC gonna have to play in the cold in Regina, they have shown they can’t do that. If BC was first then maybe they ride the dome to the finals here but they will play outside in cold weather if they win their game. Montreal is a Davis Alexander injury away from being crap. Sask? As if anyone trusts Trevor Harris in October and November. There are no favourites

  43. Also the OL... I still believe in Zach but he doesn't have the right tools around him. I definitely agree that he's probably making too much money (probably - we don't know) for a guy that needs all the conditions to be right in order to be effective. At like 400k... Build a proper OL, get better receivers, possibly a better OC (again, we have no clue...) and I think Zach can get it done. Like, if Collaros is on the Als right now, I think they're absolute murderers.

  44. If we can't beat the Riders with Mair at QB, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

  45. Plus that would mean the Riders would be in our dressing room. The thought of watching them beat us in the GC at home and then going to celebrate in our room is just gross - no thank you.
