I don’t think Wheatfall was ever the problem. He’s a decent receiver but I feel like the receivers we rostered today fit perfectly in what Zach can do. Guys that can run routes and catch the intermediate balls. Wheatfall was an okay deep shot receiver but not a great middle of the field catcher, but now Wilson and Demski can both stretch the field and Sterns is a great at those shorter routes. I think the wild card is obviously Dillion Mitchell. By far his best game as a bomber. We need more of that if we’re going to go on a run.

Honourable mention to the play calling. This was the best called game since the opener in B.C? Very creative, played to Zach and Brady’s strengths and we couldn’t be stopped all game, loved the screen passes, shovel passes, and mix of intermediate routes and when to take a chance deep, and when to leave it to Brady to play bully ball.

I think some love for the Oline keeping ZC upright and comfortable is in order.

1 zach. had to be, he did every thing and looked like the old mop for the first time in ages. 2 brady, 150 combined yards monster day grinding out good yards on each touch. 3 Houston. he ate lawlers lunch today. hh vaval with a huge kr td in the opening kick off. we held the lead for every snap of the game. Block of the game goes to wallace road grading downfield in the 4th. honorable mentions, jy for adjustments, entire secondary, person, woods, wr core, randolph, strev, teams both in cover and blocking.

Grey Cup is up for grabs this year, after this weekends games there is no clear cut favourite.

We have the nicest uniforms in the CFL but we refuse to wear them. I put that on th equipment manager who probably gets to pick the color combos. Whoever makes these decisions can be summed up in one sentence, "You must not be drinking enough".

Play action used superbly, receivers were getting open... I am wondering if wheatfall is just a drain on the passing game because suddenly he's out and Mitchell looks half assed decent. Sterns is an under rated guy for us this year. So yeah looked like a real offense... So Vaughters first sack the DL was person - woods - Jefferson- Vaughters... just saying... Also woods with a huge initial block on the opening kickoff to spring vaval. Welcome back to the lineup.

I thought the biggest change was Zach was getting the ball out quickly. People have been ragging on our o-line all season , they weren't that much different today. The biggest difference was Zach would take two steps back and rifle the ball to the receiver. It slowed down the pass rush massively. Zach was on, BLM was off just a smidge and it made a huge difference. Also Lawler/ O'Leary Orange both missed multiple catchable balls.

Wheatfall is the better deep threat. Mitchell might be more adept at the dirty work in the middle.

Shoutout to MOS and Hogan for pulling the Dillon Mitchell long con. Bench him for over a third of the season, involve him minimally when inserted into the roster and then in the stretch run when team's DCs have forgotten the guy is still a Bomber, you unleash the beast.

Mentioned already but the corners were lights out against Lawler. Kenny getting only 2 of 9 targets is amazing. Zach was throwing dimes today. Brady was his usual self. Really liked Woodbey. He was all over the place.

1. Zach- great game, didn’t try to play over his own head. Took what was there, even got a couple of deeper shots in and no picks. 2. The DB’s- Especially Houston. Shutdown game against arguably the league’s best receiver. Lawson Jr had a nice game as well. 3. Demski- Having a career year. He’s just been outstanding and had to carry the WR corps for most of the season. Can’t say enough good things about his play right now.

What? No way Osh would do that. The difference between Zach & Strev at qb is like watching someone jump off a 1500 m cliff. We're hooped if Zach gets hurt going into the playoffs. The need to find a veteran backup qb next season who can actually throw.

When we start off with a kr touchdown, Dhillon Mitchell gets his first touchdown of the year plus a few catches in a row early in the game it’s like okay here we go. Best played 60 minutes game of the year not even close. Nice to feel that vibe again.
