Pass pro was really good most of the night across the board but in the 4th the hoggies especially Wallace went to work in the run game and took it over. hh zachs td scramble. Didn’t know he still had it in him block of the game on zachs td run Cooley had a great block crunch of the game. Ayers on the ko to start the second half. Lots to learn from that game. Edmonton exposed our coverages by running switch routes where guys cross and go vertical to other side of field they started from. Our HB's and Safety made really bad reads on what route they needed to prioritize on some of those plays and Edmonton hit/almost hit several big plays off those. Nichols kind of got lost on the TD and jumped eligible OL...but really who cares about that guy at midfield, not a threat, while Bridges stayed with his guy across the field and the other wideout got passed off twice, third time (when he turned vertical) to no one because Nichols was out in the flat on a OL. Then he was running by himself to the endzone with the ball. You know it's a bad bust when a guy is running completely free on a play from the minus side of midfield because our coverages hugely prioritize sitting on vertical routes basically until they cross the 30. But the games are so long, have 4-5 negative plays are going to happen. You want to be able to get those back with turnovers and sacks.

I'd love to see collaros run like he did on the TD more. That kind of escape act used to be his bread and butter. Too often now he just plays tackling dummy when the pocket breaks down. couple of those deep shots were absolute dimes... and the refs were utterly embarrassing. WJ by rights should have had 2 more sacks except the LOLks offensive line was allowed to wrap an arm around his neck if he got too close to Ford. The PI that took away the Holm interception was the biggest joke of a call I have ever seen. Dude trips on his own feet and it takes away an INT. Gross.

It was pretty obvious from every view but there was a camera right at field level that showed it 100%. It bounces off the turf and back into his numbers without him having control of it.

Forget the hot air blowing all day about phantom wind (real or not, impactful or not.) The coaching decision of the day to talk about is not challenging the dpi. 3 point swing with possession, and that was the worst dpi in ages. That call was so offensively soft and wrong it deserved to be challenged no matter yardage or points. That was disgusting.

We are playing down to the worst team in the league in such a big way. Trying our best to throw this one away. When your hc doesn’t do whatever it takes to win, your team won’t so what it takes when you need it.

And for the 'stop with the Jake hate', it really is not Jake hate. At least for me. If he's the glue find different ways to apply it on this team. It's just frustrating and difficult to watch our nose tackle be pushed back 1-2 yards and/or play bump belly with the OL on 90% of his reps. I know I know we're 3-0, we've made the GC 5 years in a row, MOS has turned our club around, we lead in attendance, we are the gold standard of this league, we have the best uni's around etc etc. But cut us some slack there is always room for improvement no matter who you are.

OK, this is a true story. Was at the game with the family yesterday in the South endzone, including my older son (14). He does NOT watch football at all, but comes with us to a game or two a year. Before the game they are doing player introductions and the D runs out of the tunnel one by one. No word of a lie, they introduce Jake Thomas and he waddles out and my son audibly starts to giggle and he turns to look at me as if to say "is that guy on the team?". All I could do was shrug.

Watching Jake Thomas last night on television. He's even wore than I thought. Always get turned inside to the right or left or is stood straight up & pushed back. Even when he made some kind of penetration towards the qb he was late. He has no moves. Just a straight bull rush. WTF??? And he got the majority of reps last night. He was lost on an island in a 3 man front. The Edmonton backs just ran right by him. Its to the point that I no longer respect him anymore. What a sad sack excuse for a DT. Retire, already.

As long as I can remember, if O'Shea feels there is any advantage to taking the wind he will take it given the chance. The fact that almost all the points in the game were scored going to the south end zone makes me think there was some advantage there.

That may have been Collaros' best game in almost 2 years. He was hitting guys in stride all game long. Only 2 really bad decisions (that he got away with). Thought he was lights out all night long. Run blocking and Peterson need to ramp it up in the first half moving forward. Not a lot of space to move and Peterson doesn't seem to be running with power to start games. Someone has to explain to me why MOS decided to kick off in the 2nd half. I'm still angry about that. I just don't understand the choice given the options/potential outcomes. One of the worst in game calls he's made in his time here imo.

HH to kick cover teams they have been really good this year

Honestly I’m still torn on that one. His second arm placement, he tucks it and rolls, it was a mess even with a ton of angles all day to review and nearly frame by frame slow mo. I can’t stand that inconsistency though. If that’s how you review, do it every time. You can’t work that hard to over turn a call once in a while. They get way to many calls wrong and miss to many to be taking that much time to make one random call right. But if you’re gonna do that, you gotta do em all like that. Them giving up on the run when the game was close was soo stupid. They could’ve gone ground n pound on us. In general mak used a lot of bomber ball stuff tonight. Jet motion, izr, the motion screen etc. but he got away from what had them in a position to win the game. Much better team than I expected them to be though. And they aren’t a free spot on the bingo card any more. They get more confident and start expecting to compete each game and it’ll yield results.

The thing to note here is, zach kept the ball in a position he could throw out of, kept his feet calm and wrapped it up when he needed to. Last year he was panicking and tucking it way too early that’s great sign.
