I not happy about losing either...im not happy as to how and why...and been sounding the alarm since late 2022....and as @Mike said was mocked...said was arrogant...mr knows it all...yadda yadda yadda ...when all I was saying from being in the room...playing thru this kind of stuff...experience in the game a Lil more involved than John Q Public....that if you didn't look at the forest thru the trees...and if things weren't changed and addressed...in a yr or so we are gonna be scuffling and in a serious situation of implosion...and it was easily avoidable...and here we are just over a yr later...2 failed ends of the season, a pretty concerning start to season with serious roster issues...etc etc...hate to say I told you so...but I told you so

They are way too focused on going vertical which requires a lot from OL. On top of that some rapport between QB and receivers on where to expect ball, timing etc. That’s what Zach likes. Great if if it’s working, but completely kills passing game when it’s not. Would like to see some adjustment. Can we run some quick stuff? Do we have anyone we can screen to? Demski they do some of the tight bubble ones coming inside. Can we get the ball outside and set up some 1 on 1 situations where we can get a decent gain and maybe a bigger one with one broken tackle? Did some to Lawler vs Montreal once we were down and not moving the ball. Gotta do some work to force defenses to cover whole field and not just clog up vertical and watch us spin our wheels. Receivers are a bit of an issue too. Wilson is looking basically useless. Or they haven’t done a good job of getting him ready to actually play or both.

Normally I would say - new OL they should get a chance to gel. Im not an expert in o-line play. But there's one thing that stands out to me more than anything and that's the lack of push on the QB sneaks. For a bunch of guys that are supposed to be maulers they sure aren't getting a lot of push.

Brady O is the straw that stirs the drink. He consistently gets us ahead of the sticks with 5+ yard carries, which allow us to do whatever we want on 2nd down. Without him, our O is severely hampered. Lawler is great, but we were a very potent offence last year even without him. Can't say that this year. Our pass pro has been spotty at best this year, yet Buck keeps calling deep shots, which turn into shots on Collaros. He won't last past labour day at this rate. Collaros hasn't been on very much at all this year. I've always said that we became a great team the day Collaros started and we'll revert to a middle of the road team when he retires. Looks like I need to add or can't do it anymore. All that being said... All is not lost. We're 0-2. BC had to put 2 starting O lineman on their 6 game this week and their OL play was poor in week 1. It's a good chance that they lose this week. Even if they win, we're only 1 game behind them. The Riders beat Edmonton. Big deal. Everyone beats Edmonton. Even if the Riders win this week, we're only 2 games behind them. We can catch up labour day/Banjo bowl. Calgary beat Hammy. Anyone have Hammy as a good to great team? Nope! Next week is a huge game. Win it and we're back in the hunt right away. Lose it and we're looking up at all the Western teams except maybe Edmonton.

Fayad was the Mac Defensive player of the year in 2021 with 13 sacks and 17 tackles for loss. The guy has a motor. If he didn’t get injured at the start of training camp you would have known who he is. Very intriguing prospect.

They have to actually give him the playbook before we start counting. When he's just asked to go in and run the ball on gimmick **** how is he supposed to show anything? Guy came into the league as a real qb and showed he could do it. then Lapo turned him into a gimmick. Do we think he's a worse passer now after multiple years of pro experience than he was as a rookie? We don't win the 2019 grey cup without Streveler. Guy wasn't signed to do Prukop things. Let the guy play because at this point I don't believe Collaros can carry this team either. What about those first two games makes anyone have confidence in him? Brutal ints, can't escape pressure, staring down receivers and forcing passes.... Yeah more of that for the highest paid player in the league.

The roster issues started...the questionable personelle decisions...osh and his biases and stubbornness...and it kept manifesting...till now And all this explains it further Just look at Hamilton...they were in several cups in a row...best record in league...what did they reverse course and become?

A lot of that is true for me too. 01 is the hardest, honestly though the last two are the next worst. We should be a true dynasty the likes of which you don’t see these days. Every one here is die hard compared to the fb troglodytes.

If it weren’t for my kid, me too. I’ve gotten better but my weekends (and more) went as the Bombers did for much longer than I’d care to admit. Even then, dammed if 22 and 23 didn’t hurt just as much as 2001 and 2007 did. Quite honestly lot of the mean stuff I say about the team in-game is just residual heartbreak from us getting robbed of the true dynasty I’d been waiting and hoping my entire life for.

We have a much more stable group running the team now. Not likely to slide in that direction IMO.

I enjoy your posts, but this simply isn’t true. Speaking for myself, I’d love it if the team went on a huge heater and everyone mocked me for being overly critical. For real, I genuinely want to be wrong about this.

I have nowhere near enough knowledge to suggest what might be wrong, but from a simple fan perspective, this team seems "off". It just doesn't look like the Bombers from a few years ago. The fire and determination just don't seem to be there. And they really don't seem to be prepared. For me, much of this has to point back to the coach. I've never met Coach O'Shea, but the way he deals with the press, who are asking questions on behalf of all of us, has always come across as very condescending. It's not something that's going to endear him to a lot of people. That's ok when we're winning, but isn't going to hold up for long if we regress. I hope he finds just a touch of humility and turns this thing around... soon.

Its fair to call most of us diehards. 19 and 21 were great. 22 and 23 hurt because we were so close to getting another cup or two. Many of us remember most if not all of the 29 year drought and 01 and 07 still hurt. To me that's where the frustrating we're expressing is coming from. At least that's how I feel and I imagine many of you feel the same.

There was a sequence where I thought I saw Fox bang up his arm/hand badly on a helmet. Was holding his arm and maybe had one or two more plays then was out of the game. What are Upshaw and Tre Thomas up to and would they come back. Need a DL and like Karamoko but omg he got way too many snaps the other night.

Agree I’m a big fan of the 30, especially up here. You gain tremendous versatility, and way better pressure options. The D is solid. If we’d get away from Thomas and biggie it’d be sick.

I don’t think anyone is happy about this. I also don’t know what has been posted that would ever give you an inkling anyone feels this way. It’s funny you say that though, because I view it as quite the opposite. The warning signs for this were present long before this season and anyone who suggested that in the past couple years was made fun of, told they didn’t know what they were talking about, shouted down (“3 in a row! 4 in a row!”) and told they were too negative. Now look. I’m clearly one of the more outspoken people who has frustrations with what’s going on right now and if you think I’m happy about it, you’re dead wrong. Yeeeep. But they might delay it. Adam’s is being used soo much as an end and we use the 30 front more than the 40. It’s not a bunch is the problem. Dobson is a mauler. Eli, wallace but he’s raw. Neuf is toast. We could put out a killer road grading interior if we wanted.

It's football, there's always a lot of egos involved. But if losses keep happening and obvious roster problems keep getting ignored walters or Miller will come have a talk and either oshea refuses to listen, and we have a problem, or more likely regardless of strong opinions or words shared he does listen and tries something else. Here's the thing, they're all more patient than we are and it's easy to give oshea lots of rope with the # of wins and back to back to back to back cup finals. That won't last forever though.

When we had that 2nd and 1, and didn't take the chance to drop back and do something with it... Instead just smashing it into th pile yet again..... I was so disappointed. Seemed like the perfect opportunity, but maybe that's why they didn't? Too obvious?

It was zachs bread and butter... but his mobility looks like late stage calvillo thrse days and he can't play the role of pocket passer. Getting old sucks.

Strev (and the whole team) had 2 atrocious games in October of 2019, no doubt. Also a few very good-great ones before that. Did they not bring Collaros to start only after Streveler messed up his ankle though? We don’t win that cup without both, I’m just saying, without Strev getting hurt in the second-last regular season game that year, I don’t even think we see Zach take a meaningful snap as a Bomber.

I believe the real complaints about nichols only started when he physically couldn't do the job anymore.... kind of like Collaros is now. Dude can't escape like he used to and he's being eaten alive because of it. He is making the OL look worse than it is. Did it last year too but Brady just decided to carry the offense on his back.

If they actually let him play Quarterback, I think Streveler can get the job done. We’ve seen him play the intermediate and deep game in the past and do it well. If they pair that with a more creative running attack, I believe he can succeed. Seriously go watch his first 2 starts with the Bombers, before they gave him a gimmick. He can make the throws.

The home game against Edmonton on a Monday night after 9/11 was one of the best I’ve seen in my lifetime. Iirc it wasn’t even televised. It does feel that way, with a little 95/96 mixed in. I have a vivid memory of going to the ‘95 home opener and my Dad telling me “Look, I don’t want you to get upset but the Bombers aren’t going to be very good this year, and the games are going to be very different”

So much this. After the last however many years, where we could get 2 or 3 yards every time almost automatic... These last two games have been shocking to watch. Barely getting a yard or less. It's hard to watch.

With the blocking we have been giving, I don't think just changing the returner is the solution.....yes a guy like Grant can occasionally do something in spite of lack of blocking, but IMO it's a greater issue than just returner. I theorize that even as bad as we played if we had dressed even one extra D-lineman we probably would have won...my reasoning is look at how good we were getting pressure on Brown until Habba and Fox went down, then once our D-line was exhausted and no real threat Ott was able to run the clock and Brown was able to stay mostly clean....true our offence and specials were bad, but I do really believe that our lack of rostered D-line depth cost us one Grey Cup and recently cost us this game....
