I.m thinking your logic is flawed and wrong..History shows that Sask doesn't always outdraw everyone....historically don't even outdraw Winnipeg....until just this last decade and part of that average is flawed due to the one year hosting a grey cup and they had huge numbers just to secure grey cup seats.

In the 80's decade we averaged 26534 to Sask 24 729...stats show we drew more
In the 90's decade we averaged 24 391 to Sask 24 030...stats show we drew more
In the 2000's decade we averaged 26 480 to Sask 26 457..stats show we drew more
In the 2010 and up to 2014 we averaged 28 218 to Sask 31 921 (not a true average for reason stated above)

How about you sell out your stadium once and then maybe you get get fun things.  Sorry but the LDC is Regina's forever, the CFL knows what straw stirs the drink.

I'm sorry I can't hear you over our IKEA, the Winnipeg Jets, our 7-2 record and your teams' perpetual shade of green -  the color of envy.

You played well in all 3 phases sure...but do you really think BC didn't drop a deuce?..after totally dominating you the week previous? The 2 line-up changes you made that game weren't the difference...Most experts too said the same, and Wally prior to the game even basically predicted it. We shall see over next 3-4 games what kind of team shows up each game...The one that beat BC..Or the one that showed up the first 6 games...I do hope tho you win tonight truth be told...not betting on it tho

BC lost because Lulay was too banged up to continue in top form ..... Jennings was not intop form either and did not get his rhythem back till late in the game

I think we should add some stakes to the LDC. Which ever team wins it, gets to host the following year, and the loser gets the Banjo bowl.

Your thoughts?

And i thought i was the only one in favor of moving it out of Regina.

Why? We sell out the banjo bowl and it's every bit the party, if not better than the LDC. Leave it as is IMO.

Has not always sold out tho. For Sask kids its school the next day.

The LDC always was given to the lil sister city. Regina, Calgary, Ham. Well Regina, Cal, Ham aren't lil sisters no more.

Wow, this thread got all tangled up in a hell of a hurry. I don't know why he had to stir the pot like that when all the OP asked was if the LDC should be given to the winner...

Anyways, I like it the way it is, and while I agree it wasn't as fair to Bomber fans when the banjo bowl was played on the Sunday, (not even sure how many years ago that was...5?), it also sucked for Rider fans who didn't have the extra day to sleep in. I know, I know, you don't care about us lol but my point here is I think now that the BB is played on the Saturday it works out for both sides of the border.

Losing/winning the Banjo Bowl means nothing.

If I am playing someone two weeks in a row, I much prefer to have the second game at home.  We responded well in game two against BC and being at home was a huge part of that. If you lose the first one at home,  you are in danger of being swept. But  if you lose on the road, always a good chance the home crowd can rally behind you in game two at home. LDC  game in Regina in not a advantage for the riders at all.

this is a good point... but the flip-side is if you start at home, you get a better chance to win the first game... realistically, splitting a home-and-home is the most likely scenario... so it's a huge advantage to go into the second game with a win already in your back pocket...

They are actually 2 point games.

I get that you're just arguing semantics... but c'mon, there's no way you don't understand his point...

If the Bombers win: Bombers 16 points; Riders 8 points = 8 point gap
vs Bombers loss: Bombers 14 points; Riders 10 points = 4 point gap..... therefore, a 4 point swing...

I agree with you as long as you are sure you can win the first one.

Hey when Riders fans start harassing our own kids at Riders games then you guys might have an argument.

Still can't believe Bombers fans harassed a kid Bomber fan last year who happened to be wearing a green shirt.  Take a bow. Sick.

you serious?  you of the fanbase that pisses on cheerleaders and throws green paint on brand new, 250 dollar jerseys?

Migs, Seriously, gtfo.

Agreed even winning one of the two games makes me comfortable that we most likely be nearly guaranteed a play off spot.  We also need to keep up to Calgary who also most likely wins one if not both of their games.  I want first in the west and not just a play off spot; considering our start this year
