There's a classy way to post about your victory on socials. No need to punch down on a franchise that's struggling so much.

yeah...Metrics scream possible big success up here on this field. I can see him mirroring what Schoen did if he masters that waggle....possibly more explosive as he is faster He runs very smooth which i think makes him seem like not as fast as time...but that's the beauty of it as it can fool a defence and they lose their angle in a blink of an eye...seems to have that knack of making moves without gearing down...like Denmark was good at, and then has the extra gear after he catches it being an undrafted guy...hopefully plays against him, but benefits us...may be a low priority waiver guy for most teams cause of that and stupid NFL thinking

The Lions would never consider mocking a 0-10 team, that would be horrible. They waited until 0-11.
  5. If Montreal was a proper, professional organization, they'd have a staffer monitoring sites like this one.

Yeah, you can always play a guy at the boundary. But I think it is worth while to try each rookie at slot, you never know when a guy will take to it like schoen.
  8. We're basically running a high school passing offense without the 1-2 receivers that make life a little easier for the QB. The fact our QB has to be on the head of the pin on any pass or we have to spring guys WIDE OPEN means our degree of difficulty is way too high to be consistent passing the ball.

Only takes 24 hours to clear waivers and he was released on the 30th so he was free to sign anywhere (including the Colts PR) yesterday.

9.73 RAS out of 10. That is an extremely elite score. He looks like more of a YAC guy than a downfield target. Though he should be fully capable of playing downfield. Hands look really good. He does not look 4.3 fast on the field, but he is smooth with good speed and acceleration. Some of that could be the offence he ran. It would be very interesting to see what he could do up here with all the room on the field, maybe even in the slot with the waggle.

Especially when BC's record isn't anything to write home about. They still have their struggles on and off the field so they're throwing stones while living in a glass house.
  14. Some receivers disappear and it's a bad thing, some disappear and it's not a bad thing. If they are disappearing because they aren't winning routes..bad...if they are disappearing because the defense has gameplanned their coverage to shut him down...its not a bad thing, other guys should be open

Can always stick him out at the Cobb position...traditional wideout while he learn if he doesn't grasp it right away. But yeah it's killed a lot of prospects...especially the ones who didnt do homework before coming up...Thats why Schoen did so well...he spent a whole winter practicing it and watching games
  20. YEAH...WE are majorly handcuffing ourselves. It effectively allows defenses to just blanket or top 2..3 guys in certain schemes with the knowledge they can cheat of of almost half our weapons And we have zero diversity in the kind of guys we employ....and our basic structure...well actually lacks structure....we either cant...or refuse to do any layering of any kind and rely too much on guys being static waiting for the pass....
  21. yup...Last game a couple guys really made an impact with some tough catches...but was that an anomaly?...cause for most part this yr haven't been doing it very much. If that is the new norm then excellent...why it took 11 games to get there with veterans is kinda baffling...but if was just a good game wedged between a bunch of less than stellar ones..then we need to get better...Cobb's spot be a good place to start....his 14 catches and sub 10 yard avg just isnt good enough

Saw the Bombers added Eli Pancol to their neg list the other day. 6'2 205 lbs former Duke receiver that runs a 4.33 40 time. Just got cut by the Colts. I don't know if he's ready to come north but that's an intriguing athlete.

Strev's retirement video - brings a tear to my eye. I'm sure he will be successful in whichever path he choses going forward. 8 Years as an NFL & CFL QB this is my journey--Chris Streveler Retirement
  27. Every team that doesn't have a Kenny Lawler desperately wants one. Even this year, kenny lawler isn'y kenny lawler. But that type of fit would fix an awful lot in a heartbeat. A guy like Kahmann, McInnis, Coxie, or Kiondre Smith would be massive. Even giving up White for one of those guys would be massive. I hate what we are doing with Clercius. Gonna watch another talented Canadian WR turn to ash in a Bomber uni. And for silly reasons. If he and zach/the staff had an issue, deal with it. That's 90% of coaching. It's insane that we haven't given Singer a single game yet. The combined YTD stats for the 5th starting WR are 188 yards on 30 targets, with 21 catches. 88 YAC, 6.2 yards per attempt / 8.9 YPC, which is 17 yards per game on 2.7 attempts per game. If we started a 6th OL and handed the ball to Brady an extra 2-3 times, we would get handily more than that.
  28. why we need a diff type guy...we have no real true #1 game breaker Yup we need another type guy...a guy who can win battles alone just with size/strength if we are not gonna go get a true game breaker...like yhou said that would help a ton Closest guy we have to that is Clercius and he needs to be integrated on a consistent basis. Tho only 4 targets this yr he is at 100 percent completion percentage but career wise he is 76% on 101 targets...he just makes catches...And he has hands like vices and is no threat to fumble..Pokey and Demski scare the crap outta me in traffic...Clercius thrives there If anything, he should be in Cobbs spot, as he offers nothing other than a decent injury replacement and can return if again...injuries occur in a game. Neild and Big Kev can alternate playing inside..outside....even sets with both inside We do need a downfield deep threat guy to stretch teams a bit...Pokey isn't that guy...he's great in horizontal routes for getting ball in space or with him in full stride. White kinda same thing...he can be a deep guy taking top off, but you dont really wanna have him doing that a lot...he works well in the short to intermediate game and can turn 6 yards into 30 in a heartbeat...same with Pokey Thats where Singer would really help us as he showed he can be a downfield guy, and assist in layered routes with Demski who also can be that guy...But if you have 2 guys who are that threat...one will always have man coverage as opposed to 2...or 3 guys on him...greatly increasing the success of our vertical game....And its an easy thing to do...Remove Hazen who if we all being honest...Offers less than nothing to our roster and will never see field ahead of anyone above Shay....4 games in he has 1 ST tackle...we can live without that
  29. Tim White is 8th in the league in receiving yards, he's quietly been a total stud for us this year. He is not very flashy but he catches absolutely everything that comes his way.
  30. Agreed. He’s a rookie just like any one else. Two things I’m glad he’s not doing is hurdling defenders like his prime Antonio Gates, and he’s falling foward instead of trying to make something happen. Honestly falling foward and having a 2nd and 2 or 3 is better then getting stopped and it’s 2’d and 4 or 5. Glad that he realizes sometimes less is more. Especially in the context of his role.

For shits and giggles and the reminiscing of Nasty Nate in the other thread, I used MBB posting history and ChatGPT to get a Nate style commentary on the season to date. Enjoy folks, all meant for some levity in a frustrating to date season. THE 5–5 FOLLIES: MIKE O’SAME AND THE BLUE BOMBER MUSEUM Ladies, gentlemen, hobos, rounders and prairie plutzkies…your 2026 Winnipeg Blue Bombers are 5–5, which is a PERFECT record if the objective is to be neither good nor bad enough to force anybody in management to do something. These Bombers are a football slot machine. Pull the handle and maybe you get a half of competent football…maybe you get 377 rushing yards surrendered to B.C.…maybe you get a 16–0 lead in Edmonton followed by three points and 35 yards of offence in the second half. Nobody knows! Least of all the fellows being paid to know. After every fresh disaster, out strolls head coach Mike O’Same, president and founder of S.A.M.E.—Stand Around, Mutter Excuses. Mikey surveys the smoking crater and announces that the fellas simply needed to make two or three more plays. Brilliant! The Hindenburg merely needed a couple more buckets of water. Meanwhile general manager Kyle Waiters, also known as the Duke of Stand-Pat, watches every other CFL club bring in receivers, defensive backs and pass rushers while Winnipeg guards its practice roster like it contains the lost treasures of King Solomon. Weak receiver room? Wait. Confused secondary? Wait. Ancient offensive line creaking like a haunted hotel? WAIT HARDER. Eventually another team will accidentally release an all-star directly into Kyle’s office. Then we have offensive coordinator Tommy Con-Dull, architect of the CFL’s last-place red-zone operation. Give Brady O-FEED-ME-ra the football and he bulldozes Edmonton for more than 100 yards before halftime. Naturally, Con-Dull responds by hiding Brady in the second half like he owes the coaching staff money. Why use your best offensive player when you can have Zach Colla-Rust fling another hopeful balloon toward a receiver moving with the speed of a refrigerator being dragged through wet cement? On defence, coordinator Jordan Yawner has installed his famous Prevent-Us-From-Winning scheme. Rush three, rotate seventeen defenders, place the defensive backs somewhere near Brandon and graciously concede the seven-yard completion. The opposition needs eight yards? Give them twelve. Need to protect field-goal range? Back everybody onto Portage Avenue. Watching this defence communicate before the snap is like watching six tourists assemble furniture without the instructions. The crazy part is there are still some genuine ballplayers trapped inside this travelling carnival. Brady remains the engine. Trey Va-VOOM is one of the most dangerous returners in the country. Willie Sackerson and Jake Sack-resna can still wreck an offensive line. Nic Demski continues to fight. But individual talent cannot overcome an organization that treats adjustment like an admission of guilt. Now the 9–1 Montreal Alouettes come marching into town. Mike O’Same will tell us the room is confident. Kyle Waiters will continue waiting. Jordan Yawner will station the secondary in St. Boniface. Tommy Con-Dull will discover a new method of reaching the four-yard line and emerging with three points. The prescription is painfully simple: FEED BRADY until the other club proves it can stop him. Play the best players—not the fellows with the longest service pins. Attack on defence instead of operating a government-funded receiver-relocation program. Bring in actual competition before the season becomes an archaeological exhibit. If the same problems keep producing the same losses…CHANGE SOMETHING. The dynasty is gone, folks. What remains is a 5–5 club living off the fumes of what it used to be, driven by coaches who appear convinced that stubbornness is a substitute for adjustment. But don’t worry. Mike O’Same says they’re only a couple plays away. Prolly.
