Wallace played fine but the Bombers run game was weak in both those games he started. The OL absolutely dominated with Vanterpol starting. Maybe that’s why he’s back in. 🤔

i'd be bringing in true Nose's and multi use DT's for sure...a WR that has return experience and another rush end type....pure pass rush specialst

Thomas, not even being a GTD is strange. Missed 2/3 practices. We seem married to the idea that the only rotation our DL needs is bringing in all the Canadians at once for a package. The sad thing is, Vaughters and WJ have been the least effective pair of ends in the league thus far. Our limited pressures mostly come from Adams and Lawson being on the field at the same time, or one of them individually making a play.

Jesus Christ O'Shea will you get another freaking proper DE on the game day roster before Jefferson and Vaughters drop dead from exhaustion. So f**king frustrating.

I just hope we have enough linebackers on the roster tomorrow.

I did not know about the PR limitations due to Global designation I want to see Allen in as well at some point I really liked having Ford on our CB position - but you are correct - and in the cap crunch we are in - cannot afford the 185+ that he would have brought in.

I was never a fan of the Haggerty signing in first place...saw no use/need for him in what we do and who we had Once Kelly is ready no need for any of Ball..Haggerty..Hallett....even moreso if Makonzo can get on field

Slightly better version of Houston imo. Doesn't cheat as much, but isn't great. He played half a year last year, I don't think we will see much upward movement from him, hes 28 to. Dodged a major bullet. Yuupp. I get hes an electric athlete. But he isn't that guy and db isn't that position. The scheme was a big part of it. And the fact that teams kept throwing that way 1 because we had softer coverage guys, but also Nichols and Bond to the other side. I think he'd be doing similar to last year if he were here. But Edmonton D isn't like ours.

crazy amount for a corner...well amy DB for that matter but especially a corner The Elks games I have watched haven't even noticed him popping off the screen either for most part....makes you wonder if he was the benafactor of playing in a solid group and scheme...he's a good db dont get me wrong...but not one the highest paid defenders in the league good tho

Case...Weitz.....Ball off top my head..... Case aint gonna unseat any one...couldnt last yr....and there are way better options/bodytypes kicking around out there who could be brought in Weitz....well we only seem to wanna roster one global anyway....he isnt gonna ever be anything other than what he is....nothing...so we could try and find a different option there Ball...redundant....we have a glut of Canadian LB/DB/hybrid types....and he doesnt appear to be anyting but a ST plug anyway....can find those every yr in the draft....use his spot for a legit dline talent...

Or they think Ball can actually play D eventually. Vaval and Novak basically stole the job from Hagerty while he was in the tub.

And Vaval. They chose to keep Ball which you think the peanut gallery here would love since he played NCAA. Not sure we need to navel gaze over the 58th roster spot not going to a 6th round pick from 2021 who just got released for the third time.

I honestly think there were others not rostered during the recent playoffs for the Jets that could have made substantially more of a difference than Tans did. I like the guy but he’s not the player he was in 2018. That’s who we needed but didn’t get.

Feel free to roast this hot take, but if we had couture playing at his average level in those 3 years and gcs, I think we win 2. I also think if we had mop level qbing in the 3 gcs, we win all of em. Zach and kola aren’t the only guys who struggled in those games. But that struggle connection is the most critical on field failure. I also think dinwiddies coaching staff on our squad would’ve won 2 if not 3.

Pretty much. Week 6 is a bye week for us to. So hopefully Kelly and Makonzo can both be healthy for when they are set to come off, then use the bye week to get sharp. It's gonna make for some real tough decisions with the AR when both come off though. I'd take Hallett and Kornelson off. Or even stop dressing the 7th ol for one. But I don't think mos would ever consider 2 of those moves.

Pleased that we are going back to Vanterpool at guard. Didn't think he (O'Shea) had it in him. Seems to be more confident this season than last. He's got the easy assignment and picking up where Ford left off in terms of interceptions. Tyrell Ford's stat line for the seasons consists of 11 tackles and no interceptions.

yeah...that makes sense to me as well....once woods is ready I'd drop Jones for Jones tho as J.Jones can play both wil and mack...and well...T.Jones cant....well shouldnt play wil We are again wasting PR spots on guys who have no future here...again....should be constantly bringin in and evaluating guys...and we dont...who we break camp with...is who we run with....and thats not good enough

I believe woods is a fake injury, but I can’t be sure. If he’s for real hurt, pointer shouldn’t have been out right released. Maybe he didn’t want to sit on the pr, but I don’t by default expect that. honestly, for as much as we’ve blitzed, carrying two ends in Bailey and person would be fine to have one rush with a hand up from different spots. A team with guys like Lawson and adams who can play 0, 3i and 4i with a good pass rush, we shouldn’t struggled to have pressure with our front in either alignment.

For me, I'd put on Woods for Vanterpool, sit Jake, put on Bailey for the rotation on the edge with Sergio punting, I'd flip Sterns for Mitchell, Jones for Kyrie. Cut Chase and Scmekel and go find another imp wr for the pr.

Hagerty was an option at S, too. Honestly, if you can play Sam in the CFL, you can play a bunch of DB. Novak, Shay and Smith do eat up a lot of roster spots, but they offer decent versatility at least. As much as I like what hallett has done here as a teams guy, I'd a taken Hagerty over Hallett.

Technically, the Bombers are West division champions 5 straight years.

But when the signs are there of continued stupidity of doing exact same things...why would you move on tho? If we fail.again it will be basically from the same issues and it's stems from the HC 5 straight trips...not 5 straight championships Anything can happen in one game.. And the same combination of things have literally happened in 3 straight avoidable defeats Guys say this player...or that player sucked...was a big reason...yet fail to put together the fact that they were not properly prepared to succeed...and hence looked bad...aka...coached/schemed When they perform well they likely were...you have some outlier incidents where a supreme talent and.effort will supersede anything...much like a inferior and declining player can have the best coaching and prep and just still suck...we have been a victim of both in all 3 losses...be it bad gMeplan and no adjustments...poor rostering...bad in game decisions and lack of trusted depth...which circles back to rostering all yr and.riding guys into the dirt all yr with no experienced viable depth behind them...but a buttload of st guys We been easily out coached in last 3...badly...will it be 4?? I think Vanterpool makes our oline better which is fine. Holding onto my take off Ayers and play a real DE or add another offensive player argument.

I can't believe we're still doing this to ourselves... Over and over with the GC losses. Christ. Zach buggers his ankle in the WF in 23. Zach shreds his hand in 24. Both total flukes and changed the situation dramatically. And injuries to Bighill, Schoen and others are absolutely massive to the outcome. But honestly... We need to move on. It's 5 straight Championships of the toughest division in Canadian football. Anything can happen in a one game, winner take all. All good, yo.

It's a long list, but off the top of my mind, Deven Thompson, WR/KR, would be an exceptional get. That guy is insanely explosive and a much better WR than you usually see from that kind of outlier athlete. Zay Paige, another diminutive kr/wr type. Denzel Mims is an incredible athlete with great size who was very productive in the NCAA. He went in the 2nd round to the Jets. He could be a real killer in the CFL as a SB. Garmon Randolph is a huge end who projects similarly to WJ, and was even a TE in high school. Shaka Toney is another great athlete with pretty good pass-rush skills. Bunch of guys in or through the XFL, and NFL TCs. Not as many early college career kids, it's a pretty mature list.

There is a point, especially if you don't think he will play in the first 6 games short of an injury. You can always remove him from the 6. I think we probably need 1 global on the pr, but I'd go digging through the cuts. Weitz doesn't bring anything. I think we need an air lift of WRs. We should be cycling them through to find guys who can step up. Because we have a bunch of guys who are nicked/playing sub 100% already, histories of injuries, and a lot of low-production guys. After that, we need more pass rushers. We have a few, but we are well beyond the best-before date on both WJ and Vaughters.
