Jets were not great but a lot better than the Mild. We're miles ahead of them. Wild needed Dubnyk to be awesome and he was... and he still allowed three goals. Jets will be better Friday and will separate themselves even more.

Game 1 thoughts.... - Heck of a road game by Minny....still not enough. I think we've got an even better game 2 in us. - Dubnyk was on his game, no shocker. Rightfully got the jeers from the crowd. Morrow was an excellent pickup at the trade deadline. Huge goal and the eventual game winner last night! What a game. Even when they were down after some loose playing early in the third, the Jets kept their heads on straight and continued to work hard. And it paid off. Laine's tying goal was incredible (he also set a record for the youngest Finnish player to score a goal in the playoffs). Gotta give Dubynk kudos for his performance last night. He kept the Wild in the game through 40 mins.

Great point! He was so good getting back and disrupting the Wild rush. The coaching staff have done a good job making him responsible defensively. That would not have been easy last season, when you probably just wanted him to park himself and score goals.

What I saw was the Jets completely outplayed Minnesota, they were twice as fast and if not for Dubnyk stealing 2 or more goals from the Jets the game would of been a blow out. The 2nd Minnesota goal was completely on Buff taking his usual risk and backfiring big time on us. For the most part Minnesota did not have much time in our end and had big time troubles cycling the puck. Every line clicked well with us , I thought Lowry and Tanev had A+++ games. A few mistakes by our defense with lazy clears but for the most part they had a solid game.

Morrow couldn't have played that 2 on 1 goal much worse than he did. Didn't take away the pass or the shooter.

I thought Buff played pretty well. Trouba and Myers had some rough moments, however. I'm not sure about the 'dumb penalty', as they never showed a replay. Considering all of the extra curriculars after the whistle, in that game, I don't know what Buff did to get THE ONLY roughing call, in the entire game.

Anyone else think Buff kinda went back to his old ways? Dumb penalty and them missing on the one Wild goal? Hoping he looks at it vs. this season and picks his play up going forward. He had such a good year. Nice hits though.

Sorry Rich, I edited my post which you quoted before my edit. Honestly, its not really up to me to define casual in this discussion. Because the post that kick started the debate was clearly made up (it didnt make sense as it was written) and was about celebrities doing promos for the Jets. The Jets have nothing to do with wrestling so one has nothing to do with the other. Its not a personal affront to me and Im not arguing because Im offended. Im simply correcting a myth. It speaks to wrestling as a whole, not just Kenny, that indy wrestling (and ROH/New Japan) have become incredibly popular in the last couple of years or that Bullet Club merch (including Omega merch) were everywhere at last year's WM, being worn by WWE fans. The line between WWE fan and "hardcore" fan is the narrowest its ever been. "Casual" might be a good description for many people who attend WWE house shows who go because its WWE and may not even know half the guys on the show. But if you watch/follow WWE you have a pretty good chance of having heard of Kenny since his name has been mentioned on their programming and website and many of their talent have mentioned him on their official social media.

Impressed with Laine. He is better defensively than some give him credit for (and way better than he was even earlier this season). How good can he be 2...3...5 years from now? I feel like they overthought this one. They didn't want another failed cash-in after they did it with Corbin. And they didn't want Asuka's first loss to be in a MitB cash-in. So Charlotte beats Asuka for a respectable first loss and Carmella cashes in on Charlotte. It seems silly to me to have this big undefeated run for Asuka and she never even wins the title. The first loss should have come after a lengthy title reign. I personally am not a big Asuka fan but they wasted that opportunity. Carmella is simply unbearable but she won't be champ for long.

I think he has basically at this time cornered himself into no real options..accept Montreal's less than adequate deal (in his mind) and join that circus and basically have a miserable losing year...or put his tail between his legs and see if the Bomber offer is still on the table...and hope that it is. This waiting for a camp injury or a team to be desperate is probably the stupidest thin g he could do...and a big risk..and even so...if a team finds a need...they still don't have to bank up a Brink's truck to Henoc because really...he has limited options....and the notion of him seeking NFL opportunities is looooong gone... He needs to put his nose to the grindstone and play a year and "prove" he can be a ratio breaking elite National...then reap some rewards in the following years with a nice contract...at this point in his career he has no real bargaining chip...questions abound as to if he is still what he was/coulda been when he first left for the NFL , so expecting to be payed as one of the highest paid Non-QB's in the league is crazy
