All of the empty backfields had me confused. We have a 226lbs rb who gets most of his rec yards via screens and swing passes. IMO it doesn’t make sense to use him like we are.

And it theyre going to give it to Brady, it will be out of Ace 99% of the time. If he lines up behind the qb, it's going to him. So frustrating

Yeah if we're going to do that we might as well put 6 receivers out because Brady can't do anything on a vertical route. Ottawa's corners were cheating down whenever we'd put him out at the X so it was also disrupting any outbreaking route to that side of the field. So basically we killed our chance to do anything outside the hash on that side of the field where we put him out wide.

Wilson's motion through the backfield was a bad tell today on almost all our runs too. Always to the front side so not like it's drawing the D to worry about him being an option/screen threat opposite Brady.

We didn't really incorporate the jets at all tonight.

I know the win was far from flawless but I feel like we should give the offense more credit for hitting that gas pedal finally and the defense for shutting things down.

Honestly I thought we were gonna lose on a FG in regulation but the D kept up their play.

The fact Dumbwittie fumbled and lost their franchise quarterback over ego should be a telling sign it has the potential to be a one and done season for him in Ottawa. I’m sure Dinwiddie wanted to put some pressure on Brown as a way to compete, and probably thought Dru handled it poorly because there’s no universe where Maier pushes the ball down field better than Dru. Oh well, 0-6 looks good on them. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

120 tackkes..1 int..4 sacks for his 3 yrs combined as a SAM where you are always in or around 70 percent of plays aren't elite numbers or anywhere close to the average of other top SAMs in league over that time

and its not an issue that teams were avoiding him...he was just being beat or out of position...he serves a good purpose and role but isnt a true starter calibre

Nothing to do with wrongly assessing him...he just ain't elite or provides value for his bloated salary

Tommy Nield and Shakir Brown had a serious case of the butterfingers tonight. I guess it all evens out.

Amazing 4th quarter by the offense nonetheless. Man that was stressful but fun to watch.

Game over if Nichols is on that route they ran on Holm in OT.

Not Dru's best work but Condell's game plan was poop.

Those conversion Brown thru in the second part of the OT was just wicked. No hesitation on his part. Took the snap & fired. Earlier in the OT, Nield should have had that catch for a TD. I'm sure he's relieved it wasn't intercepted.

I think Ottawa played about as good a game as they possibly could in all 3 phases of the game. Maier played well. His receivers were getting open, especially Gino Lewis & Adyn Eberhardt. Greg Bell was running hard. Their defense was making life difficult for our offense & Brown looked out of sync in the middle of the game. Then we came back. Brown took charge. Heck, even Cobb scored a TD tonight. You look past the bad... realize the Bombers overcame adversity & then really bore down to get that win. If Ottawa keeps playing the way they did they'll win a few ball games. But I can see them ensconsced in last place in the East. Now, on to the Stamps next week. They have a lot of weapons offensively that our D will have to be ready for. Defensively, I think their secondary isn't that good. Their DL is the best in the CFL. Our OL better be ready for them. Vaj is hot & cold. If we upset his rhythm we have an excellent chance to win.

Mike Kelly may have been a moron of a head coach, but he was right about one thing - The most schizophrenic (bi-polar would have probably been more accurate) fan base in the CFL.

The amount of absolutely moronic comments in this GDT thread is embarrassing. Take a breath and touch grass.

Maybe the reason Brady isn't getting a ton of touches is because he's going down on basic arm tackles after 4 yards. Maybe he needs to spend less time making TV shows and paying for his girlfriend's horrible lip injections and actually hit the hole with some purpose as he did two years ago.

The same people who were acting like Jake Ceresna was some franchise changing signing (he's had a great 3 and a half quarters this year) are the same people saying Osh is an idiot.

Tony Jones has been by far our best linebacker for the last 2 weeks, in a system that isn't overly friendly to linebackers, but he still continuously gets **** on.

I didn’t like our D, haven’t liked them against any 1st string starting QB this year, every one has ripped us apart but they made a couple goal line stands. 41 passes is crazy when you got Brady also

But we won. That’s all that matters.

Im more pissed they couldn't have the game on two channel's and at least give us a 30 minute pregame. But at the end of the day, we are in the history book as the team that won the very first new format and new overtime and etched in history as the first team to win it.

What game were you watching that had Brady going down with arm tackles? Lol. Please see Otts run game as an example of how you keep with it to get results. 4 rushes in the first half doesnt even give you a sample size to determine if your RB is playing well or not. Talking about moronic comments....lol.

Brady is one of the best players in the game. If the run isnt working you get him involved in the passing game.

Edit....I should add that 4yrds a carry is actually a good average.

Gotta agree to some extent. Any time we are not leading a game it turns into the fire everybody thread instead of a GDT. I was among the pitchfork crew but can say I was caught up in the emotion of the game. Problem is that we are on a 3 game win streak using nothing but our 2nd and 3rd string starters and there are a ton of guys who are going to show up on the forum this week and roast our management, coaching and half our starting lineup. Not the usual amount of roasting that any management or coaching gets, but the kind that is reserved for winless teams. Winning and losing are the metric and yet week in and week out we hear the same thing no matter what, and that is pretty telling. It is no longer a balanced assessment by many here, it's a bias and/or an agenda.

We are spoiled here. Most teams fan base would be tickled pink going 3-0 after losing their number one QB. Not us.

God our receivers were brutal... They know they're paid to make catches right? Abysmal effort on some well thrown balls. Nield with an embarrassment of a game between 2 gimmie drops and a penalty that took away a play that would have set them up a couple yards from a touchdown.... Dumb ******* idiotic penalties too, nearly killed them. Thought the D was good except for a period where the O got into a situation where they couldn't stay on the field. I know Stanley Bryant is the GOAT..... But yikes that was bad dude...
