  2. Preventing the Bombers from registering an even greater profit were expenses from an all-road playoff run to the Grey Cup, an $800,000 increase from the previous year’s playoff costs, and the CFL’s temporary takeover of the Montreal Alouettes, which cost each team $660,000. ...It is good to know we currently own the Alouettes both on and off the field.

MICHIGAN CLOSES DOWN CAPITOL IN FACE OF DEATH THREATS FROM ARMED PROTESTERS AGAINST GOV. WHITMER On Thursday, Michigan closed down its capitol building and canceled its legislative session after online death threats made against Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The threats were made by protesters who planned to attend a "Judgement Day" protest at the capitol. The protesters ostensibly oppose Whitmer's statewide shutdown orders meant to slow the spread of coronavirus. Dozens of posts in private invitation-only Facebook groups called for Whitmer to be hanged, lynched, shot, beaten or beheaded. One suggested crowdfunding sources to hire a hitman to kill her. "We haven't had any bloodshed yet, but the populous [sic] is counting to three, and yesterday was day two," wrote Dave Meisenheimer in a 385,000-member Facebook group called Michiganders Against Excessive Quarantine. "Next comes the watering the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants," he concluded. "When I read some of the words that were published this week, it's not about staying at home, it's not about maybe losing your business ... it's about spreading blood on the front lawn of this building, and I would be lying if I said that sitting in my chair with four men in rifles behind me didn't make me think that I was going to be [dying from gun violence] very soon," McMorrow said in a May 12 speech to the legislature. "Yeah, we're supposed to stand up here and say we're brave and we're not intimidated," she continued, "but guess what: That is damned intimidation and it is not welcome, and my question back is what the hell are we going to do about it? Or do we wait until something happens?" https://www.newsweek.com/michigan-closes-down-capitol-face-death-threats-armed-protesters-against-gov-whitmer-1504241

  18. Agree. DS9 was the best. The only thing I didn't like about that series was making Sisco one of the prophets. I believe in God myself but I don't go to church. For me, there was too much religion in that show almost to it's detriment. I'd have also liked Dukat to have had a better final ending. Like becoming an ally of Sisko, The way they were in the introduction of the Maquis when they worked together. They didn't like one another but begrudgingly respected the other. I wish that would have been built upon. I saw that as a lost opportunity to really make the show go in a different direction. Back to Enterprise... I liked the Xindi Arc better than the Temporal Cold War. I don't think those arcs were boring at all. I think if they waited a year to get Enterprise into space the series would have been cancelled after a single season. My premise is why go exploring into The Great Unknown with just one ship & no idea who or what is out there? Build up your defenses of Earth first & then when you have a fleet of say 5 or 6 ships then start your exploration. They should have had Trip & T'Pol get married. Serving ten years together after what they went through losing a baby & then shrugging it off by just becoming work colleagues after that in the final episode & then killing Trip off was a travesty. As was making the final episode a hologram for Ryker to study. I think not bringing T'Pol & Trip together in marriage & the whole final episode being a hologram was a final **** You by Rick Berman & Brannon Braga to fans who hated the show. Connor Trinnear said that Scott Bakula was furious with the ending but he never let his anger get in the way of filming that final episode. Trinnear also said that when the cast found out how the series ended they were all in shock.

    2019-20 CFL Offseason

Interesting that since Ambrosie pulled his Mea Culpa with the media & the government that things seemed to have changed. Not consulting the players & being appropriately roasted for doing so by media & politicians as well as having no business plan that the pendulum has suddenly swung from "The Season Is Lost" to "Let's All Do What We Can To Play". At least others are trying & haven't given up like Ambrosie did while asking for a handout. After being suitable shamed he seems to have gone into seclusion which might be for the best.

  30. Model X is way too expensive. Model Y is their smaller crossover SUV equivalent and built on the Model 3 platform. Still starts at $75k but better than $120k of the Model X. They are an intriguing car to buy, but still too expensive for most. I know the batteries aren't necessarily equivalent, but seeing how my phone battery degrades over time makes me leery of considering used.

Tara Reade’s rape allegation against Joe Biden must be taken seriously. New details suggest it just isn’t credible Written by Joshua Holland May 15, 2020 645 Tara Reade’s claim that former Vice President Joe Biden raped her in 1993 is difficult for the left in large part because her original claim–that he rubbed her shoulders, made her uncomfortable and that his staff then retaliated against her for complaining about it–is credible. I believe that Biden behaved inappropriately toward Reade but I don’t think her rape charge is at all credible. There are two interrelated reasons why.

No you don't shout it down, that just makes people dig in and get defensive about their position and shut off to reason. You have to get them to explore why they believe what they do because change only happens from within. A person has to want to find the correct answer, and you are more likely to get them there by engaging them as opposed to just trying to silence them. It's also good to do these exercises to re-assess why we believe things ourselves. Everyone believes they're informed and correct, but we all need to make sure we're not just swallowing whatever point of view we happen to initially agree with. It all needs to be help up to a critical light.

Look what happened in Lethbridge with that waitress in a Star War's Storm Trooper's costume with a toy gun. People called the cops, Lethbridge police took her down & now they have to be investigated. She was promoting a restaurant. On May 4th. (May the Fourth be with you)…. Too many unhappy people in the world.
