Stop asking us to be objective when it comes to the Riders. It's not that I can't be, I just don't want to be. If you point out my anti-Rider bias, I will happily agree with you, and continue to laugh at them.

So wife and I are lounging on a beach in Mexico almost snoring. I’m wearing my W cap. Dude couple of seats over jumps up, points, “Whales”! He’s wearing his green crider paraphernalia. We end up chatting. We get along. He wants to chat football. I tell him there are only two teams in all of sports I just hate. “The Whiney Riders and the Oilers”. Several days go by, he asks, would you wear a Rider T-shirt if I sent you one. I said “no way, I hate them”. He asks, “what if it was free”. I responded, “wouldn’t even wash my car with that. Might burn it though. You wanna give me shirt I’ll just burn?” He couldn’t believe it. He was thinking they, Rider fans, are cute and some kind of likeable group. He asked in four five different ways to have me accept a shirt. I joyfully declined.

And it may be possible that Muamba is simply using the Bombers to leverage the max salary out of Montreal.

I would expect that the Bombers have made a business decision on how much the position is worth and worked out a budget range. They need to stick to it. That is what any of the well-managed teams in any sport will do. The minute they start making decisions based on their heart or, especially the will of their fans, they will be doomed. That in a nutshell has been the downfall of this club over the last three decades.

Money well spent considering he was a big part of a solid D corp that helped get the team where it is now. If he has a long term injury, they can move the money to LTIR moving forward and insurance kicks in. Worst case scenario. Hopefully he's back. There is a prevalent belief of this in Saskatchewan that is hard to understand. They believe that every Canadian citizen love the Riders, and fans of every other team in CFL really have the Riders as their second favorite team. Their media must cater to this delusion, because you hear it often in the green province.

I agree with this. The prior Bomber regime was prepared to sign Pacman Jones. If given the same opportunity today on a similar character player, I would expect the Riders current regime to be interested but not the Bombers.

in a perfect world be nice if Opa would look to restructure his deal..sign for less for chance to be part of something good..I know he likes it here and is a key veteran on our young defense...If I was making the decisions and we had to shed salary...I would drop Nevis and and restructure Opa if he willing to a 140-145k deal with a good third of it as upfront cash to ease his tax burden...DT who are imports are more easy to find and integrate into your lineup than an import end who has a way bigger learning curve and takes more time to get used to the Canadian field and it's benchmarks etc

I mean ... are we forgetting that Euclid Cummings was a Bomber when all this stuff happened with him that's just becoming public now? Bruce Johnson was also a player that was suspended for drug policy infractions during his time here. It could just as easily be a Bomber next time again as well.

My first impression was that he looked like Blink or Pinball.

Doesnt seem to have that top speed gear, nor does he seem like a fast twitch blink type. But he always looks to be moving fast. Looks smaller then his listed size to my eye, but he is very compact in build and yeah no fear. Looks like a tough football player. Defense, wr, returner etc. A lot of the small / fast guys seem to be returners who get wedged in at wr. He seems like a fast guy, who also happens to be a blood n guts football player. Not many returners highlights include throwing blocks.

Chiarot has definitely improved and if Kulikov is out.... Morrissey Enstrom Chiarot aint so bad. Trouba. Buff. Myers. Solid D. Morrow is depth. Id love to see Sami Niku given a game or 2 tho.. Finnish rookie with the Moose... LHD... Lighting it up. Could he be a possible replacement for Toby and his 5.75 cap hit? Id like to see if he is.

Why can the CFL not allow us to sort by column. Every damn time with these stupid lists on their website, you can't sort by column. I'd love to look at the roster by position not just name. Or sort the results by fastest time to slowest time, etc. This is the most basic stuff. Why is their website such junk!!!! MAKE ME SO MAD!!!!

Today's Winnipeg Jets morning skate injury update (via Sara Orlesky): Michael Hutchinson is out with a concussion. Matt Hendricks will miss 6-8 weeks with a lower body injury. Dmitry Kulikov is still experiencing inflammation, it will be a few more days before the team can get a sense of a timeline for his injury.
