Mike Hawk is what I would suggest.

Either reinjured his shoulder, or concussed. I've been a big Brown booster since his second-year leap forward. We need him to take the step forward again now and consistently show the brilliance he's flashed many times. This is far from his last shot, but this is where we need him. Im sure he will go into next years camp pencilled in as qb1 and be battling TE for the spot. But if hes gonna be a real QB1 and develop into that top tier guy, we need him to step up and lead this team. He doesn't need to be throwing 500 yards and 4 tds every game, but he needs to over come Condells short comings and lead this offence to sustained success. Im hoping he ends up at about 31 tds and 100 ints this year. With most of that damage coming this week.

Welcome to MBB.

Citation for the source is "trust me bro" Keeping the 55 would be good, but that's only part of the issue with the changes. Putting the uprights at the back of the end zone is as big a problem, if not worse. Doesn't make sense with the grassroots field issue to change one and not the other either. If you stick with the 15-yard end zone change and move the uprights to the back of the end zone, even if you keep the 55-yard line, you are still 50 yards out from the 35 before the holder puts down the ball. That means the red zone is really your fg range. You could drive from deep in your zone to the 35-40, hit 3rd and long, and be out of range for a field goal. Do you punt from within the 45? The 40? Even if punters start hanging perfect NFL-style kicks, all the rule changes succeed in is killing the return game. The BOG really needs to rethink this one.

I think between games Brady just lives in an infrared bed and emerges for game day.

It's time to call it a career. Of course, Osh hired him as he's clueless when it comes to offensive football. I honestly believe our head coach would have trouble putting together a playbook for 11 year old pee wees.

From Ed Tait: Day 2 of @Wpg_BlueBombers practice. Brady Oliveira, Nic Demski and Cam Lawson back; Zach Collaros is not https://x.com/EdTaitWFC/status/2102442470613348607

I just love all these stupid slap fights that go on here

I don't worry about Brady not practicing. I do worry about Condell developing a game plan that plays to Dru Brown's strengths.

Officially, Zach missed practice due to a head injury. Previously when he was on the injury report, it was listed as neck. https://cfl.ca/article/cfl-injury-reports-week-17

Well it is now

Condell is just the worst guy to build up Brown as a legit starter in this league. He's a QB destroyer.

Hoping he accomplishes it this week.

Is anybody else hoping Kelly can get to a 30-30 season? Only 7 interceptions away.

Oh yeah, Nik would be so happy to return here. "Hey, I would be!!", said Patrick Laine.

He's still more useful than Jake "I'm On An Island. For Godsake Send For Help" Thomas. Not that Osh sets the bar that high on this team, anyway.

...with a puppy door.

yeah, that dude is a rare guy who is an every-play contributor on O and a scary returner to boot. But the guy I've always wanted in blue and gold is Hardy. Makes plays everywhere on the field, no matter who his QB is and is hella durable, he's only missed two games in the past three seasons. Currently fourth in the league in catches and eighth in yards. I can't believe the dude is nearly 35 and is still at his peak while playing under the bad moon in Ottawa.

Goossen and Couture are now painful reminders that the Bombers absolutely can develop a nat centre… but they can’t/won’t keep one, won’t sign one in FA and now Huge-Legs Elsbury is taking up and imp spot on game day . What a bizarro world situation when our coach won’t even use the naturalized Canadian rule.

Thats a lot of people sitting out after a bye week.

2019 legend? Right on the O'Shea wheel house

I'd take him lol

Its just another example of lazy work here, and a HC and who knows if the GM is part of it, but guys who cling to, and look at the past achievements of players to justify being here, or bringing back...or continuing to play them...Osh even said it himself in an article defending someone...cant recall who now but take your pick "you look back at their film from yrs ago and see the sucess they had" for justifying why they are here and starting Key words in that quip..."Look back"..."years ago"..."had".... kinda like his coaching success/career...so it does all kinda make sense

yeah that Steve Zahn lookin mofo I dont think has any clue of how a playbook works or ability to actually construct one himself...let alone see the issues in one provided to him

It would make more sense if they wanted to make some change just for the sake of change is eliminate the 55 and just keep the rest the same...gives them the shorter field they desire for whatever reason...and in all honesty it has no impact on scoring anyway And all amateur football would just keep the 55...All you would need to do for the professional stadiums is move the goal posts 5 yards in...and would allow a lil more space at end of endzones for safety outside the field of play where its tight in some stadiums now...and every endzone would be a true 20 yards Sure the fields would need to be re-lined but thats a small price to pay and inconvenience other than any stadium that have them stitched in...Not sure how many or if any do in the CFL...I think the Regina dump does and that was just dumb in first place in my opinion..

every thing above the shoulders is the head, especially with concussions. yep.

I think this is the profile that has come out with "Sources" about major news, that just never materialized. I'd take this with a grain of salt.

I wonder if Mike Hawk knows Mike Hunt?

What a lot of people don't know is that Kapp had a jar of peanut butter in his paw when he laid one on the old wrestler....Never was a rematch as I think the senior homes wouldn't allow it and provide a day pass for either

Doesn't have the same impact or depth as Mike Hawk gets.

Generally, you can't just dig up global players of value mid-season. That said we did just miss out on a good rotational global DL. But this looks more like a bolster the back end of the teams roster.

The Bombers only won one game in 64, hence why I highlighted that year. But your example was even better. No coach is infallible.

Does that diminish the point Hawk Man. But yeah brain cramp after following NFL preseason. Whatever would we do without Hawk Man pointing out every brain cramp. Hard to be a forum superhero. Thanks for your service. Roster size was completely irrelevant to the point of the conversation but a mistake is a mistake and where there are mistakes Mike "Hawk Man" will be there to make sure he points them out without actually adding to the conversation.

Didn't work out for him very well in 1965. The Grey Cup that year was nicknamed, "The Wind Bowl" due to sustained winds of 70 kph gusting to almost 90. Pinned deep in their end 3 times against the wind, Grant elected to concede 3 safeties or 6 points. That was the margin of defeat in a 22-16 loss to the Ti Cats. It should be noted that in that era, conceding a safety meant the conceding team would retain possession at the 35 yard line. For Grant, it was a way to get better field position rather than punt short into the wind & risk giving up a touchdown. Ed Ulmer really struggled as Bomber punter that day. I believe that at least one of his punts went backwards in that gale & was recovered by Hamilton BEHIND the LOS for a loss. That rule was changed a number of years later. Today, after conceding two points the team doing so has to kick off. No, 1965... The Lions played the Ti Cats in 64. The Lions won their very first Grey Cup that season by a score of 34-24.

The Jets don't have a single player in the same universe as McJesus and Draisitl, for starters.

He basically has a hyperbaric chamber set up in his backyard now...

“Sorry to be rude but this is basic stuff” gets roster size wrong

A lot of coaches seem to have prioritized possessions over 2nd half choice/wind in recent years. Problem with that philosophy up here is how much longer the last 3 minutes of each half are with stop time. The margin between winning and losing in like 90% of games is so slim so having the ball first doesn't really give advantage with the timing rules as much as having wind in the long quarters might.

Probably the most blatant nut shot I've seen since Kerwin Bell'd himself.

Something I'm calling him. Scanning every post from 100 feet above waiting to swoop in and pounce. Someone who didn't take themselves so seriously might not have felt the need to swoop in at all HawkMan. Pot kettle. Maybe you just don't see how condescending you come off when you do crap like that? That is rich that you come in and make condescending post after condescending post, and never really post other than to do so, and then suggest the reaction to it is condescending. LMAO. Good lord Mike Hawk do you have no self awareness about how you come off on here with posts like that or why others might be fed up with it and start calling you Hawk Man or Mike Hawk? We've gone around this mulberry bush Mike, why not talk football once in a while instead of showing up to do drive bys on posters you don't like? Anyone who looks at your post history can see actual football conversation from you without potshots attached or as the sole purpose of your post is rare. Condescending thy name is Mike Hawk. Unless you are seriously suggesting the intent of your post was solely to point out my mistake without being a **** about it, but anyone reading the way you did it can see that wasn't the case.
