  1. Tim White is 8th in the league in receiving yards, he's quietly been a total stud for us this year. He is not very flashy but he catches absolutely everything that comes his way.

Does Rod Smith annoy anyone else with his stupid countdown before a player runs it into the end zone?

Making backup qbs short yardage qbs has stunted the growth on developing qbs. Why do we need qbs to run short yardage? Look at Xavier Horvath in BC. Let fullbacks run it. What happens when we have slugs who have no talent arm wise like Tommy Stevens & Jake Dolegala that will never, EVER start... is that they take away jobs from young qbs who could be on CFL rosters. If 9 qbs every year don't get signed, that's 90 qbs a decade who never get a chance to develop into starters. Don't you think out of 90, we could find at least 8 or 9 qbs (hopefully more) who would eventually develop into starters?? If teams can't then we have a serious problem.
  4. why we need a diff type guy...we have no real true #1 game breaker Yup we need another type guy...a guy who can win battles alone just with size/strength if we are not gonna go get a true game breaker...like yhou said that would help a ton Closest guy we have to that is Clercius and he needs to be integrated on a consistent basis. Tho only 4 targets this yr he is at 100 percent completion percentage but career wise he is 76% on 101 targets...he just makes catches...And he has hands like vices and is no threat to fumble..Pokey and Demski scare the crap outta me in traffic...Clercius thrives there If anything, he should be in Cobbs spot, as he offers nothing other than a decent injury replacement and can return if again...injuries occur in a game. Neild and Big Kev can alternate playing inside..outside....even sets with both inside We do need a downfield deep threat guy to stretch teams a bit...Pokey isn't that guy...he's great in horizontal routes for getting ball in space or with him in full stride. White kinda same thing...he can be a deep guy taking top off, but you dont really wanna have him doing that a lot...he works well in the short to intermediate game and can turn 6 yards into 30 in a heartbeat...same with Pokey Thats where Singer would really help us as he showed he can be a downfield guy, and assist in layered routes with Demski who also can be that guy...But if you have 2 guys who are that threat...one will always have man coverage as opposed to 2...or 3 guys on him...greatly increasing the success of our vertical game....And its an easy thing to do...Remove Hazen who if we all being honest...Offers less than nothing to our roster and will never see field ahead of anyone above Shay....4 games in he has 1 ST tackle...we can live without that
  5. Not even just that, but the top 3 all have the same skill set and play basically the same way. Its kind of funny, white has 12 more targets than demski and wilson has 9 more than white. But they have 50, 51 and 54 catches, respectively. This puts them at just under 80% completion, just over 70% completion, and 60% completion rate, respectively. We could end up with all 3 guys passing 1k, or none of them hitting that mark. Wilson has struggled much of the year with squeezing the ball, but has been force-fed the most attempts. White has done a bang-up job of making contested catches despite his size. He isn't Dressler, but he's willing to put his body on the line. If we used Clercius and Nield in those contested spots more, I think everyone would be better off.
  6. Oh, you noticed that, as well? I saw that. The little resident troll always hides behind a lot of people's comments with eye rolls directed at someone else. He has blocked me yet I see him doing the eye roll thingy whenever someone doesn't agree with me (probably because he sees my quotes) which is total cowardice. He never has the balls to directly confront me or anyone else who he criticizes or doesn't like. I may not agree with people here but I rspect the fact that they at least engage with me. They don't hide behind another poster making faces while they block me. Don't comment on what I say if you block me. Absolute cheap shotting & cowardice. KBF, please quote me so he can read this.

  9. Color me shocked, happy but still not sold....yet First off was nice to see Ears lose his **** multiple times again on the sidelines like Maas of old...we definitely made him pop...and his team sure takes on his personality, as a collective group they truly are a bunch of whiny yappy babies when things don't go well for them...If anything with our team when we are getting our butts handed to us, we never act like that Bringing the nasty back...Shades of 2019 to 2023 oline work and it made a difference. Again, we went into what Our identity should be with smash mouth play and how it opens up things for our receivers...Now don't keep going away from it in games unless it's taken away. It also allows our hogs to get in the zone immediately and dictate the tone...That's big...the last 2 weeks my observation is that Stan seems to be rounding into form. As mentioned in game thread I think his injury was hindering him and why he was consciously kicking out a bit early and looked old and slow on plays quick off the snap where he had to make a fast step....He was still good in the run but he did look compromised in certain blocking assignments But last night he was active and all over in the run game...the whole line was and we need to keep using all that oline movement...It worked well in Edm too until we went away from it. If he plays like this again next week then maybe the slagging he was getting here wasn't 100 percent justified...that being said I hope we have talked to him about this being his farewell season Kudos to Condell as well for that game plan...almost like he stole Mtl's to be honest, but that what we need to do game in and game out. Receivers actually played tough...made some tough grabs, and actually fought for YAC. Pokey needs to be used **** we used him ..lotsa horizontal routes and getting ball to him while he moving, as he is slippery and greasy and can slither his way through the slightest opening with speed. He's not the consistent vertical threat we can lean on...That I guess is a Demski role currently as we don't have a guy...and is what we really need. I think the 3rd Canadian WR experiment needs to end as Cobb offers absolutely nothing in that spot. If anything, use Clercius there and have him and Neild both show looks from inside and outside....If we refuse to add an import....That would still make us better, and Clercius is a guy teams will have to take note of. All he does is make catches, and actually will do something with the ball after the catch...and he was key in downfield blocking on several runs Encouraging to say the least tho....next week is the true litmus test. In that environment and hype if we do what we have done in the half of game in Edm and last night again...with a convincing win...look out...That's the make of a trend and a BB repeat we could be sending ourselves into a real run of wins as the confidence grows Vaval has to have earned that starting DB spot...it's almost changed how we play a bit back there...for the better and you can see he is legit good. Texada as well in his limited reps showed some real promise...Only time he was really noticed was when making a play...pretty good debut for a raw rookie vs the offensive juggernaut the Al's are reported to be. Let Nichols rest another week...let the youngsters (Williams/Vaval/Texada) run with it and make a decision for BB if Nichols is ready to go. But safety and Kelly needs to end...yesterday already...cant cover...poor tackling...soft. If kramdi is back is he better...Maybe a bit but he also isn't great. He's perfect for the role Kelly had before he went in at safety and would be a shame to sit one of the 3 aforementioned from the starting lineup...and you cant pull Smith off for him, and as much as Wilson and Jones get grief on here, Kramdi at WIL would be the worst possible decision. When ready yank Novack off for Kramdi and use him all over in the rotation...He does do well mucking it up in the box when we go 3 dlineman Speaking of yanking...Hazen needs to be..whats he offer?...whats he done to justify being on roster?...especially when Kramdi back...Nothing....and if we keep Vaval at Corner then Singer for Hazen makes a ton of sense, or if we just swap out Cobb for clercius and say no to another skilled player...Nichols as depth isn't a bad thing Dline has the talent to dominate games...tho a true Nose would be nice, but they are frustrating as they go in spurts...is it scheme and what we asking them to do...or is it just growing pains as we have essentially 3 rookies taking big time reps...none the less I really have no issues with that group for the most part...Some fine tuning scheme wise tho I think could really put em over the top! None the less like what I saw...actually not dreading the Labour Day game now...and curious to see if this was a turning the corner....or just a mirage of a game...we shall see shortly...The only bad part of the win is it will basically ensure zero changes...even tho a few could really set us off
  10. Yeah, the “problem” is that our top three have been incredibly equal all year so we don’t have a single top guy who has the team/league leading numbers or eye popping numbers from game to game. The updated list has White as 11, but Wilson at 12 and Demski at 16.

I was always a fan of the way Marvin Coleman returned punts. Yeah he wasn't likely to break one but the ball never touched the ground, was always caught and he always went straight forward for positive yards

Negative 3 rushing yards compared to 231 yards rushing from BC. Just awful...
  17. Every team that doesn't have a Kenny Lawler desperately wants one. Even this year, kenny lawler isn'y kenny lawler. But that type of fit would fix an awful lot in a heartbeat. A guy like Kahmann, McInnis, Coxie, or Kiondre Smith would be massive. Even giving up White for one of those guys would be massive. I hate what we are doing with Clercius. Gonna watch another talented Canadian WR turn to ash in a Bomber uni. And for silly reasons. If he and zach/the staff had an issue, deal with it. That's 90% of coaching. It's insane that we haven't given Singer a single game yet. The combined YTD stats for the 5th starting WR are 188 yards on 30 targets, with 21 catches. 88 YAC, 6.2 yards per attempt / 8.9 YPC, which is 17 yards per game on 2.7 attempts per game. If we started a 6th OL and handed the ball to Brady an extra 2-3 times, we would get handily more than that.
