Anytime the Bombers win and the Riders lose...

Exactly. The fact they have Stan at LT and Broxton at RT shows how absolutely delusional the coaching staff is. LT is the most important non quarterback position in football. He is getting his quarterbacks absolutely killed out there. Move Broxtin to LT, Vanterpool to RT and dress Stan as the 6th man if you don’t have the heart to cut him. There’s no way he should be playing LT at any capacity. This isn’t 2018 or even 2023. There’s a reason why 40 year old lineman don’t exist in professional football. He’s just too slow. I don’t mean to sound doom and glom but this offense will not have any real success until he’s out of the lineup and there seems to be no indication a change is going to be made.

Gutsy performance by Hamilton... Great play by Stubblefield to end it, that's the kind of play the Bombers have been missing on defence

at this point bringing in Eugene Levy would be an upgrade on some of the guys we have right now....

I will admit the mental gymnastics were entertaining last year. "Mace is not a good coach, Harris will wilt down the stretch. That team is built on smoke and mirrors." "Oh crap, they finished first." "Oh crap, they won the WF." "Oh crap, the won the GC."

Other than Edm winning it was a good week in the standings for us.

Tre Ford coming in for Frost played a huge part in the Ti Cats win

I counted ,after watching the game again, 9 completions in a row right out of the gate by a 'suspect' quarterback, Maier, and watched some pitiful coverage on their receivers, making them look like allstars....We have a very large problem in our secondary...and unless that's addressed we will continue to see teams march up and down the field at will....Changes need to be made...Just one obvious problem

I get not liking Fajardo due to personality but the guy has turned into a good QB. In the past 3 years in 42 games, he has 47 td passes to 19 picks. Our own Zach has 39 td passes to 34 picks in 38 games. Not saying you have to like him but come on, we can admit he's playing well at QB.

This stupid argument is voided by looking at Smith.. dude kills it every time he gets snaps and he only started because of injury... No one is saying moving pieces makes the team a top team, but it could make us better.... And isn't that the goal? You make moves and improve overall. That's what happened in 2019. They made moves, a lot with in-house pieces and suddenly the defense was ferocious. Just build the roster properly for a start and let's get an accurate picture of what's there. Like if the receivers on the pr aren't better than a bottom of the barrel Canadian guy why are they even in town?

It's boring when everyone agrees on everything

Equally as boggling a question as why do we go 3 Americans at linebacker all season when drafting the crap out of the position? There is no cohesion between the roster usage and the acquisition of players by management

Broxton is a little overrated IMO. He's average at best in pass pro. You can tell he lives in fear of getting beat by a speed rush because he always kicks way too wide instead of getting depth. He'd never play tackle in the US, he'd be a guard. Honestly one of the things I would try is Wallace at LT....he plays guard like a tackle in pass pro, and Broxton at guard. Vanterpool or Poncius or whoever at RT. Have to convince all these guys to get depth vs the edge guys because they forget their main advantage is their size and forcing guys to get to the spot where the can bend the edge before a guy like Broxton or Wallace gets their hands on them.

Greg Knox maybe? Only got to be an interim head coach. At York now with Dexter Janke. Totally depends on the school and program how many coaches get paid. U of M has two full time coaches. Laval, Montreal, Sherbrooke, the OUA schools outside of U of T, York, Waterloo, Calgary, UBC, Sask have most of their staff paid. CFL position coaches are mostly guys with limited ability to earn outside of football, for whatever it's worth. CFL teams have tried to pull really solid coaches out of U Sports, CJFL....guys who are getting paid to coach at those levels and sometimes guys with other careers who do coaching on the side. The CFL money is not good enough. Guys basically have to be committed to building their resume to get a head coaching job to make any real money in the CFL. Or be able to flip to NCAA at some point. The last couple Bombers OL coaches will tell you stories about couch surfing and living with their parents into their 40's to pursue coaching.

Probably the one of the most important reasons the Elks are leading the West this year after 5 years near or at the bottom. He's got that fire all great competitors need too as showcased last week when his coach decided to go for the field goal inside the 35, Faj certainly showed his displeasure.

Wasn't it the mafia who championed the "Next man up" mantra for replacments any way? The idea that no one would be better than Moxey, our 5th wr, etc is hilarious.

Smith..woodbey..Griffin would make a top unit... with Ayers as the rotation/swing guy...

And therein is our issue...Osh won't make changes...and i think he truly can't recognize deficiencies...thats a problem

No, its not.

This is the vibes and content I want from MBB.... :)

Wheatfall was very good when he was "on" but when he wasn't he was invisible. I didn't see him as much of a loss. Amazing what happens when the defence has to respect a QB who could take off and run like a scatback.

Moxey is the only db i’d throw away from this group till we fix the coverage scheme. kelly would be much better in cover 3/4 or our old fangio 6 from a few years ago. Cover 1/2 is only useful very situationally. Virtually none of the ways we’ve been using it, and it’s been our base second down look. Ceresna had some odd and limited usage. we ran a lot of schmekel. Hall is much better in front useage. we also need 1 more dt. Even a decent inside out guy.

So glad that we went out of our way to keep Lawler and Wheatfall on the roster....oh wait...

That was a hell of a TD catch by Wheatfall, having a pretty good game

3rd and 8 on the 42 and you go for it in a 6pt game? WTF?!? Take your 3 and get a 2 and out.

His recognition and burst to the ball is crazy good for a 2nd yr guy Just imagine where he be at if we had utilized him more last yr..and first half of this yr...he didnt just "get it" last game...he was a prisoner of Osh's way

Cline is buried on the Miami depth chart. Had their first preseason game yesterday and he was the 4th string RT. Outside chance he might make their PR but haven't heard much about his performance, good or bad. Taylor, being a drafted player, has a better shot with the Chargers. He got a lot of playing time in their first game (58 snaps, which tied for the team lead) and so far in camp, he has outperformed another OL they took a few picks ahead him. He was the better prospect of the two so no surprise he has a better chance at sticking down there.

Bombers D is ranked 1st in passing yards given up, last in rushing yards given up

If anyone pays even a little bit of attention, they know that Jake Thomas is a realtor in the offseason. Being a CFL coordinator is a part time gig for him and he's not doing it for the money. It's also been said that he's a potential future GM in this league. He was a PA guy for awhile and apparently has a keen eye for the business side of things.

That said, Maier averages 297 yards per game at about 70% completion rate. We surrendered 314 at a 65% completion rate. In this season of scoring, we seem to be pretty average in our pass defence. It's been our run defence and lack of scoring which is killing us.

So if you lock into 3 NI WR, why in the world do you not spend draft capital on some in the 26 draft?

Wheatfall is the type of guy you should be easily able to replace from scouting. But we aren't giving anyone a chance. It was ordained from the get go that we use 3 nis at receiver and white and Wilson are the only Americans.

People here try to defend it by basing things on last yr...and in that poor offence a basically 1st yr starter for us as not the main target pulled in 655 yards in 16 games..4 tds and almost 16 yards per catch..to say he was a bust and wouldn't help us here over what Cobb..Nield...Corcoran have given us is just plain nonsense Should have been retained to at least compete and if we found something better...well thats a plus and he could be let go or solid backup..now we have several guys playing who offer less...thats sound roster management if I ever seen it

Love of the game and a chance developing some chops for a higher paying gig down the road

I think Wheatfall is the leading receiver on the Cats. Or maybe second. That's crazy if true & we just let him walk.

Zach in the last 3 years has been in the bottom half of the starting QBs of the league. Lots of forced throws and the lack of escapability that he had in his youth has really impacted him. I'd be shocked if he's our starting QB next season (assuming he is healthy).

We could use Perkins in similar fashion.. he has mobility and escapability and a more accurate arm than Ford I wish we had some packages for him and give him extended reps in a drive after short yardage like we did with Strev the first yr before we ruined him I bet Perkins would be way more successful too..and gives him valuable reps to truly compete in 2027 for starter job...its not like hes some old non athletic kinda no upside guy We should also run some 2Qb sets too with him..prob be pretty successful too

Leaving carafe of table is always a win.

Recognizing that .....and I agree, what are the options for this club.....Contracts are making a move coach wise prohibitive ....There has to be an intervention AND either the powers that be haven't the gumption to take any action or they're complicit in what is going on....I don't think anyone likes a loser, which lately we have certainly taking on the aura of one ....It's a tough nut to crack and one that there's no easy answer for....Having said that not doing a damned thing to rectify our problems is NOT the answer

Griffin for Kramdi..who was lauded on here as some kind of master out there...just cause osh said The difference in play was huge...Kramdi could only dream he played half that effectively as Griffin Imagine if some other spots got same kinda switch...u just never know unless u try..but just those 2 examples says alot as it was apparent they were better I bet swapping out Wilson or Jones for ayers or woodbey full time too would have the same impact..u see it already in Woodbeys rotation reps But those are osh vets and his bois..sad that someone has to go Tanya Harding on anyone for them to get replaced due to inferior talent...but in the osh world it is

Broxton is the best LT in the league, Vanterpool is hands down better at RT then stan is at any position now. I think Poncius is legit as well. But no one is behind stan in terms of play anymore. He's below replacement level.

This place is at its best when everyone agrees the Bombers are awesome the Riders blow.

The last line is my quote. ("With Osh, things will get worse"). I tried to fix it but can't. Sorry Booch.

That crunch on ZC is no way on Stan..he may have called out the free backside guy..and nobody responded..he takes that guy..then the inside guy comes in even faster for a free shot. ZC too is to blame..a vet of his tenure should have saw that and either adjusted...or got on his horse on a sprint out...doesn't help either that he rarely even reads the side of field pre snap that the ball isnt intended to go to. Bryant has deserved some of the British this yr...not all...and def not that crunch on ZC

The problem with Collaros is his belief that his strength is still his deep ball. It isnt. And hasnt been for about 4 years. He just refuses to change and the coaching staff seem to think all his under thrown balls are fine.

They did. There was actually an issue with the game clock that collaros spotted but refs didnt. After the 2nd kneel down, the clock didnt start until about 5 seconds after the ref whistled it in. Collaros mentioned it to the refs, but they didnt do anything about it. Ya collaros threw it about 8 yards short....buuut....Cobbs attempt to catch it was horrible.

We also brought in Bighill late after he was cut by the Saints. We don't do things like that anymore. Once Ringmaiden & Goveia left it was over. The Trinity's Best Before Date has come & gone.

Broxton at left, vanterpool at right plz and thanks.
