  1. Yeah I'm tired of this regime's anti-Canadian bent.

  2. Oh good, Kola is still starting…… Said no one.

  3. Honestly the defence doesn't look bad.......We got nothing from our D-line for the most part so a couple new ends, get a chance to maybe show something.....

  4. At the least, I don’t mind seeing if the new DE’s can do anything

  5. This isn't new though. What many people have been complaining about (not going to rehash the same old arguments) has been happening for a couple seasons. This is just the first time the team hasn't been able to overcome the obvious problems and now more people have come around to the idea that maybe it's time for a change. These guys are Bomber legends and I don't think anyone will dispute that but all good things come to an end at some point.

  6. Like the look of the D actually. Hope the young DEs show well and we can see Shay and Smith get some reps. Resting who they did makes sense for the most part. Either young guy who is our only hope to win in the playoffs (Vaval, BO, Pokey) or old guys that could use a rest (Zach, Bryant, Willie and Vaughters). I do wonder if they aren't happy with Person's play and are auditioning the other young DEs.

  7. Hopefully we will see Vibert get some reps as this is his first game on the roster I believe

  8. I wasn’t sure where to post this but here goes. Yesterday I received an email from the Bombers thanking me for being “part of something special”, a sold out PAS for this season and going back to mid-season last year. As season ticket holders or casual ticket purchasers, I’m guessing that more than a few of you got the same email. The sender was “Wade Miller <info@news.bluebombers.com>". This appears to be the Bombers’ generic mailbox with Miller’s name attached to it. However, when I hit “reply”, I got what appears to be Miller’s actual Bomber email address (wmiller@bluebombers.com). So, if you’re less than happy about the CFL’s proposed rule changes and/or changes to the field dimensions as I am, this might be an opportunity to let the President of the team know how you feel about it. Cheers.

  9. I agree with that as well. I'd feel much more confident in this regime if they showed any kind of willingness to change/adapt but we haven't really seen that yet. Whether they stay or go, some things need to change.

  10. I don't want Osh or Walters gone, personally... I'd say if they want they should absolutely be back next year. Look, Osh doesn't project anything to the media or the fans but he's not a dumb guy. I'm sure he's done some reflecting of his own. Give the guys atleast a year to right the ship. Honestly it feels disrespectful to me to just throw these guys to the wolves after what they've brought to this organization. Hate seeing fans turn instantly on players/coaches. I do get this is pro football, and would it be warranted? After this season... Probably. That being said. I'll be happy if there back. Grass being greener, or something like that 1000% status quo has been "working" Well said

  11. I think if O’Shea And or Kyle want to be here, they will be. It’s that simple. Something like 9 straight playoff appearances now. It’s kind of crazy honestly. They have come a long way together. Maybe one departs and one stays maybe both stay but I think it’s 100 percent their decision im also not hiring from with in if I’m replacing either of them tho. Not a chance. A gm who doesn’t live here in McManus would be catastrophic and hall is the only qualified guy and he’s 99 years old.

  12. No Person and Woods is doubtful, and they bring on 2 DBs? So the old farts will play with no relief? Thomas on for 90% of the snaps? How about some DL guys being brought up? Give Bailey a shot? Resurrect Adams? I guess some of this could still happen, but I feel I’ll be cursing when the game day roster comes out.

  13. What about promoting our OC? As always, I’ll show myself out backstage.

  14. I agree, they must like what they've seen of the two rookie de's in practice, and allowing Jefferson and Vaughters to rest is good as theyve been overworked this year with us only going with 6 dlinemen vs other teams 9 or 10 for most of the season.

  15. I would be shocked if that Dl, despite being very green, didn't out perform most of what we've seen from the unit this year. Many of the changes are as expected, interesting that they are flipping echols and wheatfall though. I get that by keeping Makonzo on the 6 game, we don't have any of his salary cap all year, but dam,n why keep him around if you don't use him even in a game like this? Dudes been full practices since just before LD. \

  16. I don't hate this (as painful as it will be to watch most likely). We're going to be showing Montreal very little and giving some key guys a rest. I hope they give Smith & Shay a lot of reps, even if they aren't starting (same with Terry Wilson).

  17. so dumb The worst part about this is that the Bombers will pull a rabbit out of their ass and somehow win with Streveler having -70 net passing yards or something ridiculous and the riff raff will come out and be like 'bUt StReVeLeR jUsT wInS gAmEs'

  18. So we're doing this and we don't give Smith and Shay the start but roll out Jones and Wilson?

  19. Pretty much agree with all of this 100%....

  20. So we're going to play two DEs again because we need Ayers for Teams? Mother Trucker. If Kramdi is out, I'd like to see Smith start at his spot.

  21. Snead is Montreal's only GTD. Montreal's roster is set. A Hamilton win would determine how long the Al starters play.

  22. What is Chris Jones upto these days? Maybe he can come in and replace Jake Thomas with Duron Carter for 2026?

  23. If they’re going full preseason it would make sense to give the other QBs lots of reps. Ideally Strev only plays a couple of series, maybe a quarter. We don’t know one way or the other about Wilson but after 2 seasons it’s kind of **** or get off the pot time.

  24. ESF and WSF next week being moved up one hour since game 7 of the World Series is scheduled for that day.

  25. Montreal appears to be starting all their regulars but as mentioned that could change depending on what happens with Hamilton's game ..

  27. Personally, I think last year was a big red flag. We recovered, but we did so by a huge streak of fluky wins. From that, to this year is a large sample size of un addressed issues. (not even getting into the GC loses to backup QBs) I think if he/they get next year, and I am sure they will, it should only be between half a year and up to the LDC worth of rope. Another start like we've seen both years, and you have to clean house to save face with the fan base. And I HATE mid season coach/gm firings. To extend contracts on both, and not being able to trust them with a season, is an awful position to put yourself in. If/when we do that, we need to insulate the staff/front office. We've got brock who can step in, though sub optimal for sure. I'd want a commitment from Danny that he'd take the interim job and come up here for the rest of the year. Then I think we'd also need an OC who can be a HC candidate to take over. We've seen Jackson do it with success, but at that point I think you need a decent back up OC he can work with in a positional role. But the fact we didn't give him he job and gave it to hogan, and no one else scooped him up is worrying.

  28. That's not what I want to happen, but I 100% believe you are correct. Mcmanus has interviewed for GM jobs now, so I think he might be willing to move up here for the job. That is just speculation on my part though. Idk why he would interview for gm jobs if he wasn't willing to move though lol. My concern with Hall isn't even age, the primary one is health. He's only 64, but he has had some real struggles. And while I love the guy, and leader, I don't think he's cut out for that role.

  29. they have had several seasons now to right the ship...I give the first Cup fail a mulligan...but since they should have been doing whatever to right the ship...and turn it back around...and would have been real easy too Instead...they have let it degrade further for 3 yrs now....to the point where we are at...question is....are they able to do it now with the people in charge?....I have my doubts.....and what transpores in playoffs will be a good indicator...same ol same ol and loss due to similar reason/issues.....see ya later

  30. Sure. & That's fair. I think we're all dissapointed in the outcome of the last few years. A lot of bone headed moves. To play devil's advocate though, would we have gotten to the dance at all (nevermind 5 running) with a different staff? I'm not convinced. I think 17to85 hit the nail on the head. Osh needs to find the fire again. That may be here, or that may be elsewhere.

  31. Basically none of what you have said here is true lol.

  32. I could see shutting down the old guys, but why would you take the young guys in need of reps off lmao
    2 points
  33. no they wouldn’t lol. Bc, ssk, Montreal,Hamilton, and Calgary wouldn’t let him in the door. Toronto wouldn’t either if they had half clue. But I see a slight chance they can dinwiddie for their record. Was thinking the same thing. I really like jy. I’d like to see how is D operates with out the silly handicapping of the roster. He isn’t even close to ready for that yet though. If I was gonna hire from inside, and I wouldn’t, the only guy on the coaching staff i’d consider is Hall.

  34. Osh's problem right now is that he has seemingly lost the fire he had early on. Fat and sassy, content with the success. If he can get that fire back he is as good as anyone.

  35. Every team in the league would take him...

  36. I'm not happy with Walters either but do you realistically see us getting a quality GM choice who gets handicapped by not getting to pick the head coach?

  37. I'm guessing he's doing just fine where he is (even if the team isn't). https://goheels.com/staff-directory/chris-jones/3812

  38. I was talking about essentially punting this game and choosing to cross over and play Montreal at home in the playoffs!

  39. Maybe the Bombers are hoping for a game in Montreal and the wind is like the end of the game of the final game last season and they hope to just pound the ball with Brady and Streveler for 300 yards or so

  40. I personally think that the author of this rumor has about as much credibility as Marty York. I would take it with a grain of salt. Hate this throw **** at a wall and see what sticks type of journalism.....just the worst.

  41. Alexander will play since he really hasn’t all year. I’d expect Montreal to play starters into the 3rd even 4th since DA has been on the IR for half the season. At this point they prob on their way or here so it’s not like they can bring 15 extra guys with them. The roster size is only so big. Surely they have released their depth chart also. What’s the over under on 10 passes for Streveler. Man imagine you’re cam Echols and you getting your redemption shot and Streveler is throwing you the ball. Christ. I’d have played Zach for a series or 2. I’d have then played Wilson until the 4th and then give Artopoeous the 4th. Not dressed Streveler. If Streveler has to play next week we are screwed, think we are regardless but a guy you don’t trust to pass the ball 10 times a game ? Why. Give the kids more of the game. We know what Strev can and can’t do. Let’s see more Wilson and Artopeus.

  42. Wouldn't say Jordan was an Ahole. He just pushed the players around him to be better and that ruffled some feathers. Some didn't like that. He just wanted to win.

  44. We tried IHop / Applebees for lunch today. The renovation really has brighten up the restaurant. It looks much better and far less 1990's then the previous decor. The place was jam packed full of seniors , nearly every table was taken. The prices seem to have also increased sharply. The Applebees special where you get 2 meals and 1 appetizer was really expensive. The menu shows 2 for 50.... but 9 out of the 12 meals that you can select have a 3 - 5 dollar upcharge for them. So what my wife and I would normally get (2 fiesta lime chicken + mozza sticks) was 2 for $58 dollars. If you were to order them individually off the menu it all comes to $59. So this "special" is only one dollar off which is really dumb. In the States even after the recent inflation this same combo is 2 for $35 after currency conversion. I'm not sure why it's so expensive up here. My wife ordered the $18 ultimate breakfast , it tasted good but the portions are quite small. It was enough for her, but I'd imagine none of my guy friends or myself would be satisfied with the size. The wrap I ordered was half the size of what it was pre make over and for 22 dollars it was over priced. I'm not a breakfast person , my wife is and said that Stella's and Ben and Fiorentines are much better. I wouldn't go back.

  47. Who actually eats anything from Tim Horton's anymore? If that company went under would anyone care?
    1 point
  48. But they can't put cinnamon raisin , french toast, four cheese , blueberry , jalapeno, pretzel, etc... on top of a bagel. I'm going to assume you are much younger, but back in the early 90's you could go to Tim Horton and pick from a wide selection of freshly made (i.e. not flash frozen) donuts and pastries. Earlier in the year when I was in the States and we quickly stopped at a Dunkin donuts and they had like 30 different kinds of donuts. It was like a rainbow with so much variety.

  49. I don't understand how they still stay in business these days? The location near my house has depleted the donut/muffin/bagel selection down to the absolute bare minimum. Apparently double chocolate donuts are to niche these days for them to stock? The last time I went they said they stopped serving wedges and other food items after 5 pm. Now no soups and chili? What is on the menu these days outside of plain donuts, plain bagel, a few sandwiches and flat bread pizza which completely doesn't make sense? What a massive fall of grace from only 20 years ago.
