  2. According to CFL.CA, we have released the following players: Released: Wide receiver D’Marcus Adams*, wide receiver Geordon Porter*, offensive lineman Michael Todd*, defensive back Jordan Toles*, defensive back Quandre Mosely*, defensive lineman Dreydon Hall*, defensive lineman Camron Peterson*, linebacker Kobe Wilson*, defensive back Duron Lowe* I have no strong opinions on these moves.

  3. What a great performance! Top to bottom. Vezinabuck with some outstanding saves and the decision to put Fleury and Miller was a stroke of genius. Jets eliminated Rantanen and played him hard all night. Dallas barely had any offense. On to game 3 and let's hope we can continue to push the pace. This is Winnipeg Jets hockey.

  4. Wait, this just in, I see we have one vote for JT against your dump (r.e., our friend rolly eye). But seriously JT, thank you for your long term service to our BB’s, it’s been a great ride, time to turn the page to a new chapter.

  5. Helle is on his game and the O has found their groove Nice to see big saves being made after miscues on D. Against St. Louis, those were in the net

  6. yup some may have seen this before...but a good watch on who/what Strev is all about...the game he only completed the one pass....was where I played haha

  7. so peruse this and tell me what you see says guy cant throw or run an actual offense....from 3 min mark through to the 4:30 mark shows ability to make throws in pocket with heat in his face and drop nice balls from a roll out/sprint.....and many of those runs were from a escape from pocket or a designed play Not bashing up the gut....and teams had tpo respect it...the 5:37 mark in particular..pocket collapsed but teams had to respect the reciever routes and he has ability to bust straight up gut and gouge the defence for a 30+ yard score...and in the first yr there was many like that...as well as his runs outside....when teams didnt basically have a run telegraphed to them with the stupidity we put him thru ;last yr I recall too in MTL at game I was at him dropping a 50+ yrd dime on Simonese down the rail from pocket in our endzone as well....dude has ability if allowed to actually play as a traditional QB....and he actually a more polished and refined passer now...he's evolved his technique and mechanics....4+ yrs in the NFL will help with that A guy who showed he can excel and knows the CFL game...and then 4 yrs getting better in the NFL to come back....foolish to not turn him loose as a QB

  8. He tossed that beauty of a deep toss to Harris in the endzone in thr 2019 grey cup. Surprised people don't remember...

  9. I think the CFL should have a Canadian kicker program like they do for QB's.

  11. Believe it happened right after we scored and I was sitting at the far end of the stadium but you could feel the crowd react to that. Definitely a statement play in a game full of statement plays.

  12. Yes that was a great hit and probably a momentum statement.

  13. Very similar to the first game where Ottienger shut us down on our grade A chances, Helle returned the favour this game. If we can get back into that groove of season play where it was one game at a time, one shift at a time, keep to your assignments, ratchet up the intensity, we will be very tough to deal with. Oh and stay healthy as possible please and thank you.

  14. I'd argue Hansen was at worst a very good special teamer and arguably a decent 3rd-4th DE in a rotation set. A big reason we had so much success the previous handful of seasons was because we had Hansen and Kongbo as effective subs behind the Jeffs. Although outside of him, the global program is more or less a failure. It's basically just eliminated the jobs of Canadian punters and turned them into Aussie spots.

  19. Yep, he showed out some great tosses when he wasn't confined to some wildcat trash system. When I think strevy, I still think about some of the frozen rope deep balls he threw in college. By NFL standards, he is an elite level combination of arm talent and athleticism. If he didn't have the arm to make every throw on the field, he never would've been more than a TC invite. Nfl teams are not sitting on guys who cant connect on the deep ball, especially none draft picks. Look how long rourke was down there. He has every single physical attribute you could hope for, and a great head on his shoulders. Strevy lasted way longer because he not only had the talent, but the ability to fulfill that talent, and hof level leadership. We have never seen strevy in a good situation to succeed up here. And despite that, he has overachieved and made tremendous contribution for us. Unleash the guy, and then judge him.

  20. Zach suspended for the first game is perfect. Now his complete collapse at the end of the season will be delayed by one week! That means he'll dominate the Grey Cup and then crumble at the parade. He'll cut his thumb shotgunning beers, fumble the cup, fall off the back of the truck.

  28. Sounds like at least one of the announcers is cheering for Dallas... After the hit that put Lowry into the bench, he said "hopefully that's a spark for the Dallas bench" or something to that effect. You'd think the Canadian broadcaster would lean more towards a Canadian team.

  29. Jets are playing pretty well for the most part. Only negatives are the face offs and they allowed too many high danger chances in the 2nd….. But Bucky has been outstanding.

  34. I remain a firm believer that if Streveler was healthy and allowed to replace Collaros last Grey Cup game, we would have won handily.

  35. yeah...should come in and give us more than Hansen did at his best right from the get go...Hansen was as raw as raw could be....Physicality and athleticism and willingness to work and learn got him to where he became a real good rotation guy and demon on teams Bailey is coming in with 5 yrs of the best traiing and experience you can get outside of pro...he will be doing stuff defensively day one that Hansen had to learn as a newbie.. the dime he dropped into JA in the banjo bowl baiting guys into biting on a QB draw....Tha game alone was a good synopsis of what he can do playing QB...Making throws...running where it opened up along with designed runs....and was a crusie to victory...set him up to succeed...and the player he is...grit..heart...smarts and leadership traits and guys willing to ball out for him...I wouldnt be worried about success

  36. Schenn be slow AF so no problem with miller and fleury who played well together. Fleury in my opinion was an unsung hero in game 7. Lines appear optimized.

  40. and he did here too...and nice intermediate shots too....Grey cup TD.....Augustine shot in BB when he sucked defence in with a fake run....off top my head....also run his college game film...many many beauty passes...and a lot of huge runs because teams had to respect the pass.....as mentioned here many times..Lapo-Buck once it became obvious he could run and make hay with his legs...when opportunity called for it...almost ruined him...and definitely stunted his progression Also what QB of recent memory up here lingered as long as he did in the NFL...Actually on a roster and getting play time?....There is a reason for it and NFL pratcices..as well as assessing a guy is wayyyy more intense and productive as it is up here....You dont stick around....and they definitely dont keep around a player....especially a QB who lacks in any aspect of their position...they just dont....you get chewed up and spat out in short order...An engaged....fully utilzed and integrated Streveler along with whatever ZC has left in him is our best shot at Cup #3 in 6 yrs I'm almost in the camp now with a few things I have gleened that the changeover with coaching and OC here may actually bring a bit of a renaissance with ZC as well.....we shall see

  41. has to take them when they are there...and/or if defence is cheating up....If he is allowed to run a diversified spread style offence...non-telegraphed play action/RPO stuff and moves the pocket to give threat of taking off...he will be just fine taking whats there and things will open up....Why Buck never did that was beyond me

  42. If game 1 drive 1 starts with strev in an empty back set followed by him running QB power for 1 yard, it's gonna be a long season. If he drops back to pass with a deep route as much as he runs, it's gonna be a gooder.

  43. So Strevy looks healthy but Schoen & Lawson have been moved to the injured veterans list - I hope we're not in for another season of way too much JT on the field. Chris Streveler ready to start for Winnipeg Blue Bombers if called upon - 3DownNation
