Or .. he's just not that good. To be honest, Hubert has shown more than Fayad. I'm not terribly upset with Fayad being dropped.

Lol you need to take a step back man. Its July. In 2019 the team was a lock for 1 and done in the playoffs and that was in late Oct. Last year MTL was a joke in July. I don't think anyone is pleased with the outlook right now. But writing off 2025 is hyperbole in its finest form lol.

You don't know there's tension, that's your assumption. We do know that he's being awarded the lion's share of snaps. Is it holding anyone on the roster back? I don't know. I do know that there aren't many guys behind him that are healthy right now and JT is doing everything that's been asked of him and more. A defensive tackle leading the team in pressures is definitely stepping up and doing his part. My issue with Thomas is that he's not stout enough inside to hold up against the run. We've been fortunate that nobody has taken advantage of that but this is the CFL and, for the most part, running the ball is secondary. As I said, ideally he'd be a rotational piece and without the injury to Lawson, he'd be exactly that.

At least we have Myron Mitchell on to model the uniform. Who needs a pass rush?

Haven't heard any estimated return time but apparently the cast has come off his arm, so that is positive.

Ya you guys aren't wrong... Things have definitely changed. Part of it is the advent of digital and how important that is to radio now. The actual traditional broadcast is more to supplement the digital engagement in a lot of cases. Not all stations are like that, but major markets like Winnipeg tend to be. I actually really enjoy CJOBs The Start. Mackling just seems like a genuinely good dude. I'm not really into what Burpee does on air but everything he does is with a genuine love for the province and the city. I have mad respect for that. There's still some good stuff out there, but in some cases it's definitely changed a lot..

They play each other 3 times so the point spread didnt matter. The Stamps and Bombers on the other hand play each other 2 times this season so Winnipeg will want to win by at least 4 tomorrow.

Lucky hasn't taken a snap in a very long time. And has been in WPG for all of 4 days? Last time he played for WPG they had a different OC. He needs time. Rushing him in is a great way to lose another rec to injury....it's not like that's something he's struggled with his entire professional career.

You can't manually but you can always just post a message prior to kickoff or send Rich a DM, letting him know what you want to change.

u the only one...for what reason would you "list" 11 as a starter...and they get majority of reps...when you dont have to...and you have better options in lieu of them?...If u get a big steamer out od watching Canadians play...go support yhour local University..Junior or grass roots league...Its pointless what Osh is doing...doesnt give us the best roster...and the epic slop we been served far too often this past while is a direct reflection of it

Oshea has gone drunk with Canadians. The only type of player he loves almost as much as Canadians are globals.

I'll be the first to agree that there's a lot of bitching for the sake of bitching but that's what a losing season does to some people - perspective goes out the window and they beat the same drum over and over. That said, the roster right now is a mess and it's exasperated by the sheer number of injuries we've had this year.

Our roster management is at times curious, and probably could be improved...but dang some people are like the Katy Perry song you're hot, then you're cold, you're yes then you're no, you're in then you're out.......... They won't make changes, they made changes, the changes are wrong, the changes are right, its not enough, it's too much, he bad and he's good......... We don't develop guys is a theme, but when we play unknowns it's bad, when a guy with a shiny resume comes on we don't give them a fair chance, but when they get released no one else does either but only we are the bad team for not...... I am not saying we are great in all aspects, or that I understand or agree with every move they make....or heck that I am even remotely correct, but for one reason or another Fayad was not kept and Ogbevoen is getting a shot...maybe he will fall flat, or maybe he is our next Hanson....Heck who on here guessed Hubert would actually look good??

This doesn't really make sense to me. If you don't care where they come from then what's the problem? Ogbevoen made the practice roster out of training camp and now he's getting a shot while Garbutt and Haba are injured. That's exactly how it's supposed to work. If Ogbevoen was American I don't think you'd be complaining about him getting on the roster.

Marino was not under contract with anyone and the league sent out a memo to all teams saying they would not register a new contract for him. It's a bit different for Lemon since he already has a league approved contract. I can't recall them ever revoking an existing contract like that - not sure if they could without the union filing a grievance. The Al's could just do the right thing and cut him (like the Riders did with Marino) & let the league get rid of him once and for all but that would take some class and apparently they do not have any.

This leauge sometimes is a contradiction in terms....bordering on looking like hypocritical....They don't have the balls to kick this guys arse out of the league ...permanently.....A bad look for the CFL to say the least.....

Dragging this alllllllllll the way back after that unfortunate detour... The thing about Demski is that his value is in a jack of all trades master of none kind of way. Super versatile and can be a weapon in a lot of different ways but he's not the guy you build everything around. He's a complimentary piece. Will you find another guy like Demski? Not likely but you can find comparable producers pretty readily. Oliveira I think is a very complete back... only thing really missing is the home run ability but he does everything else so well. Could you find an American to do the job? Yeah I'd bloody well hope so but as a Canadian and local product I don't feel his salary handicaps the team. The biggest salary handicaps are the not good enough backups earning big money for years of service or the old washed up starters.

Hubert has potential and is fine as a rotational piece this year but shouldn't be starting. Then you compound it by having a European who has yet to see game action as his backup? We'd be laughing if another team did this. Honestly other than Hansen, can you name a non kicker global who has had an impact? As for MOS and his contract, he is under contract through 2025, if this season goes off the rails, I could see the team firing him and eating the final year. They'd like make Buck coach.

Hubert has nice potential....but that being said I don't see him as a ready for primetime lions share of reps guy yet...nor do I see him actually anything more than a real nice rotation piece to allow a WJ and whomever else we roster a breather Lucky....athletic for sure...and a motor but I seem to recall him not too effective when matched up against the big boys, and shedding blocks...etc...and this all goes back to pedigree and from where he came from...no offence to him but its just fact. Same with a guy coming straight from the NCAA as a rookie and making an impact....whereas it is super rare for a CIS kid to do the same...it's all about the training...coaching...competition...etc...the pedigree.......so this rostering is a bit suspect at best

I have to disagree with you on O'Shea being fired. (Note: this is my opinion on what the organization would realistically do its not my opinion on what they should do.) It would take a monumental non-football event for him to get fired anytime soon. He lead us out of the wilderness and into the promised land. If anything he'll get more leash than a normal head coach to have 2 Grey Cup wins and 4 appearances in 4 years... not less leash. He'd have to miss the playoffs this year and next to get fired. There's also the coaches cap to consider. They'd have to find someone internally who's essentially willing to coach the team for no extra pay. The only person I could see being willing to do that at their current pay is Walters. He was an elite selection.

Stats don't always tell the whole picture (I know you know that but I'm just saying) .. for me it was his inability to set an edge, he lacked physicality, was unable to fight across a block and often got lost in a sea of bodies. We were REALLY spoiled having a guy like Jeffcoat on our roster - that is the standard these guys are trying to hit.

Johnson is coming along and has shown more than Wilson ever has .. have to give these guys who are 4th / 5th in line for targets a bit of time. I also wouldn't rush Lucky into the lineup either .. want him to last more than a single game.

Experimenting with boutique players just to give them a chance... now is not the time. Dl depth has been an issue for multiple years now. They should have guys on thenroster already that we know can play. I don't care where they come from but they shouldn't be dicking around seeing what they can do at this point.

To be fair to Osh, he probably has no say in this. We know how he feels about media so I'm sure he would love not to have to do any of this kind of thing.
