The problem with trading this early is the extra 2 months of salary you need to take on. Especially if you are going to take on big salaries like Toews or Kane (max 50% retention without a 3rd team getting involved). Don't make rash decisions. The team built a decent buffer to hopefully weather this storm. They will fall in the standings, but as long as you can stay in playoff contention and make the push back up when everyone is back.

This picture of these two says it all. These are the types of people who say are fighting for our individual freedoms and standing up to Ottawa. These people don't represent anything good and view the world from a narrow self entitled perch taking cues from knuckle draggers to the south of us. Rose was just fine, he was hurt early in the season but was quite good down the stretch. Sure he gets beat deep occasionally but he’s an agressive DB it’s going to happen, especially when you’re covering the best receivers. As soon as Alexander was back our secondary was just different.

CFL people are turning down having anything to do with the Riders as OC because of JOD keeping Dickenson & Craig Reynolds for not firing JOD. I mean, that organization is so screwed up. It's their own fault, though. Not cleaning house. No one wants anything to do with the Riders.

This team still set a franchise record for wins and still was 1 point shy in a game they played objectively poorly in. This loss doesn't really bother me. Ultimately it simply came down to the players leaving too many plays on the field and we know they can be better than that so chalk it up to what it is, bad night at the office in the worst game to have one of those. Next season Toronto will be a mediocre team again that no one cares about and Winnipeg will be one of it not the top team in the league again.
