For minor off-season Bomber news.  Any significant stories or news that are likely to generate significant discussion may have their own thread created.

Going to try going with the two threads again for the off season.    One for Bomber news, one for CFL news.   These threads should be used for general / minor day to day news, tweets, etc.  A catch all for tidbits that people want to share to keep everyone up to date on the goings and comings of the league.

Any news, tweets, and signings that is likely to generate significant discussion may have their own threads created.

yes he had the most inside the 10 this year...I actually as well think this was one of his better punting years..he also started to tinker with his method/drops and the knuckling, curving ball he used often this year which made the returner have to cross the field to get it caused teams fits..also he kicked a ball that was difficult for returners to catch cleanly...later in the year our punt return coverage took a bit of a dip as we really missed Jones, Renaud..Gauthier at times and other key coverage guys who were hurt

To kinda put this whole thing in a nutshell: Saying Medlock had a bad punting year, by any metric, is patently false.....

I think that some people have quickly forgotten just how unreliable our kicking situation was just a few years ago.  That we have secured Medlock for two more years is huge.  Well done Walters!

Some don't seem to realize he's filling out a H.O.F. career before their very eyes.

Like the Medlock signing, hoping for Bighill soon.

Pleasantly surprised we signed Medlock. Quality guy to have. How quickly we forget the days of Serna, Westwood, Etc

Shouldn’t players from the D be able to fill in and pick up the slack? 

I heard on the radio they re-signed... Jake Thomas.

Rempel was scheduled to become a free agent next month.

The 2019 season will be Rempel’s fifth with Winnipeg after signing as a free agent prior to the 2015 campaign. Rempel returns to work with kicker Justin Medlock, who has been named the team’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player for three consecutive seasons. He has appeared in all 72 regular season games and four postseason contests as a Bomber.

“Chad brings an extreme wealth of special teams knowledge to the field, locker room and meeting rooms,” said General Manager Kyle Walters. “Most importantly, he is as good as anybody in our league at what he does and is a big piece of our kicking game.”

Rempel has played 197 career regular season CFL games, 12 playoff games and one Grey Cup. The long snapper started his career with Winnipeg in 2005 and moved on to play seven seasons for Toronto and one for Hamilton (2008) before spending the 2013 season with the Chicago Bears. He returned to the CFL for the last half of the 2014 season with Saskatchewan. The 2019 season will be Rempel’s 15^th in the CFL.

From what I'm hearing at #CFL meetings it doesn't sound as of now like the BC Lions are going to be in on LB Adam Bighill if he gets to free agency, which certainly makes it more likely that he will stay with #Bombers.

Sounds a lot better for re-upping Bighill ...BUT you just know Huffer is hurting bad with the departure of Singleton....Does he make a play for Adam...???I hope we don't get into a bidding war with Cal...I think Kyle can stare him down in a money scuffle IF it comes to that...then again Hufnagel has been known to be Mr. Frugal and I sure hope that's still the case
