Could you provide a list of guys you think have O'Shea on their enemy list due to your above scenario?

He must have asked for his release if he wasn't going to be on the game day roster. I don't see how else this makes sense.

  • He quit on the team. So screw him.

I'm wondering if management, coaches and/or players have tried  to entice him to come back with the latest development of injury or has that shipped sailed once he asked for his release?

Ship sailed?

Think viking funeral...

Toth asked Tait on 1290 this AM, whether Thorpe had contacted the team about a return. Ed's response - "If he did call, I'm sure it was to Walters and not Osh". They both agreed that coach would not be quick to welcome Thorpe back.

If they're smart they will. He played very well for us and should never have been left on the PR.

Oh well, we've known for some time now that the very best players don't necessarily get to play on this team. Some people just don't get along. O'Shea and Thorpe may be two. Like Harris and Buono. You win some, you lose some. Next.

Our good friend TJ is now a proud member of the Riders pr.

Funny, but I was thinking that Calgary would sign him. That batch of receivers they fielded against the Riders were totally underwhelming.

Not good for the Bombers. Hate him or not. We need the receivers more then any of the other teams in the West.  Losing too many guys to injuries and not enough quality guys to replace them with.

What a jerkstore.

Gotta wonder what's up. He leaves the Blue apparently due to not enough playing time, and ends up on the Riders who have a stronger Rec group. I don't see how he cracks that lineup without injuries.

He's been unemployed for a month. The PR spot in Regina was probably his only option.

But he was too good for the practice roster here, so this would seem to confirm that there was other stuff happening then.

Or he's realized that opportunities are not as abundant as he thought and he's had to humble himself. Which if he'd done in the first place would have worked out better. That's the way it goes though. Sometimes guys have to make that mistake to learn about life.

and he ended up on another practice roster lol

Should have just stuck it out.

Yeah but going to the Riders ensures that he will just be moved to the 6 game IR and collect a full paycheck...

I also don't like that he likely has a pretty good  take on the bombers playbook....Jones is a dirty **** and I wouldn't put it past him to sign this guy for that reason alone.

Greaseball tactics a la Jonestown.

If the key to the Riders season is needing info on the Bombers from TJ Thorpe, then those assholes are in bigger trouble than anyone thought...

pretty sure all they can get is audibles and terminology, that will all be changed in time to play them.

For all his arrogance and stupidity, Chris Jones is a pretty good judge of talent, so this is more a depth move for him than anything.
