  2. For whatever reason, I feel like I’d really lost sight of how many interesting prospects the Bombers brought in this off-season. Not too worried about the massive amounts of WR or DB, that’ll sort itself out with reps but I do appreciate some of these names … real high calibre guys being brought up here. 5 names to watch in my obviously incredibly educated opinion: WR KJ Hill, DE John Waggoner, DT Jamal Woods, DB Travon Fuller, DB Juan Lua Bonus name, I think it’s a foregone conclusion he’s QB3: Eric Barriere Bonus name if Janarion Grant doesn’t come back: WR Aron Cruickshank

  3. Thanks guys for rescuing this thread! Time to get excited for camp where we hear one good thing about a guy and then can imagine him being an all-star! Can't wait!

  4. Specific but different reasons. KJ Hill has a very very similar profile to Austin Mack which is an exciting thought. As far as Waggoner, any Iowa defender is going to pique my interest plus all the academic and coaches selection awards in college give him a big “O’Shea guy” type feel. Fuller I followed on the Bills roster a bit and he’s a long rangy shutdown corner type, could be a productive guy up here if he picks up the nuances well enough. Lua is SUPER young (22) and didn’t even go through the NFL draft process, but he’s a versatile defender that could play a lot of different roles on our D. Finally, Woods is a guy they’ve had neg-listed for quite some time - couple that with them usually having a good eye for the DT types they like and I’m interested to see him in camp.

  6. Spotters need to pull Butler (Sask at #1) & Lewis (Edmonton at #2) to check for concussions.

  7. Burmeister intrigues me. He was a decent QB at a fairly high level (ACC). Started for Oregon as a freshman so just on raw talent there's something there. He just converted to receiver with Rams last year. Kind of wondering if they are looking at him in both spots....or even just QB. He must really have NFL dreams to come up here as a receiver because I have no doubt he could play QB in the UFL based on some of the guys playing there.

  13. All great picks, and it seems like we’ve got a bumper crop of prospects this year. For me the position battle to watch will be db/wr. We’ve got plenty of openings and it’s likely rookies will fill those spots. 1 starting wr, 1 kr, likely 2 dbs. Here’s a few guys I think will be good watches and could have a big camp. Ronnie brown. 5 11 185lbs dual threat rb who tore up d2. Also damn near made the bucks active roster couple years ago as tcf. Don’t know how he would/could be fit in, but I think he’s gonna go off on camp and pre season. Db terrell bonds has a good chance to take one of the starting db spots. NFL experience, kick cover and kr experience, started in ufl very productive in college. vanterpool at T is a guy to watch in the replacement for bond. Played g and t, very highly regarded in the nfl for a bit, huge streak with out giving up a sack or taking a penalty with great size. lber Michael Ayers, dominated d2 and has prototypical wil size and athleticism Jordan Lewis is another prolific lower level de/wil tweener to watch.

  14. Can't wait for training camp to start. The Big Blue came so close to winning the Cup that it was an absolute tease. We go through this every spring- the impatient waiting, the poring through the signings to see any blue-chip prospects loom, reading through training camp reports and hoping that the deficiencies of last season are addressed. Its a ritual really, but a familiar and welcome one that heralds a new campaign.

  16. Any specific reason you're excited for these 5 over other guys? Based solely on highlights my 5 rookie americans I'm excited to see in camp are WR Aron Cruikshank, OT Larnel Coleman, DE Chauncey Rivers, LB Jeremiah Gemmel and DB Terrell Bonds

Last time I saw a guy make that jump right into the playoffs was Keith Tkachuk in the 1992 playoffs against Vancouver, though he did play 17 games in the regular season first at least.

  25. Some of you mistake the legal process with professional conduct policy. The CFL doesn’t have to wait for anything if they determine their conduct policy has been violated.

  26. Fallout on Amazon was great. The props, sets, costumes and effects were incredibly detailed and almost totally faithful to the aesthetic of the video games that inspired the show. The gore is intentionally silly without spoiling the action, the doe eyed 'Ned Flanders in the Apocalypse' protagonist bit never wears thin, plenty of comedic actors like Johnny Pemberton, Michael Rapaport, Chris Parnell and others filling out the side-cast and keeping the wasteland fun and wacky like it's meant to be. Between this and The Righteous Gemstones I'm becoming a Walton Goggins fan

  27. All the combine testing does is show who is serious about moving to the next level. If you're an OL walking into a combine where you can't do 20 reps of 225....you're showing that you're not willing (or able) to do the work to be a pro. Now if you have tremendous film you'll probably get a chance to prove that wrong. If the film is meh, the testing is meh, the on field stuff is meh, you're done.
