Alright boys... It's a good day for some redemption. Let's even up the record! LFG.

massive canary in the coal mine game for our D. Blm and that O got every thing they wanted with ease last time. We have film now from that recent game and the prep time. If they don’t have a massive turn around game we are in serious trouble. Not a second half adjustment game that slips away late, not limiting them after a hot quarter, we need a 4 quarter physical game from the D that leaves us in a position where we expect to win. I’ll be watching how complex our secondary is and if it is still trying to play too many sub packs/bad cover sub packs. Also if we are loading the box on second down and not accomplishing anything but creating seams for blm to hit free first downs.

Yeah I don’t have a lot of confidence moving forward this year. Obviously hope I’m dead wrong. It just doesn’t seem like we have the talent to get it done. Whether it’s poor roster management, scouting, who we choose to keep coming out of camps or a combination of these, this team is simply not good enough. Holes at nearly every positional group. PR is a mess. The days of the NFL cut airlift are long past. There’s no quick fix really.

Well, SOMEBODY is getting screwed tonight.

It's me. Zach. I'm the problem it's me.

if it was just this season sure, but as I explained before, the grace period was the prior season. Now Kyle Walters looked like he learned some lessons after last year and made some big moves in free agency, but have we seen the coaches learn any lessons? Early returns say no and patience doesn't last forever when we've seen the decline happening in real time for a few years now.

Not great choices.

It would be a huge upset tonight, because the game doesnt start until tomorrow night.

Someone has to show the receivers where the first down markers are.

Vaval and Oliviera are out only bright spots right now.

No Forde what Suitor has told us for years is that you can put your hand on the waste as long as you don't twist

i’d call that a catch tbh

That’s a huge part of it for sure. Underperforming vets don’t ever get benched here, even just for a game. There was one spot at corner and one at DE designated up for grabs in camp, the rest of the roster was predetermined. We had guys making plays at LB in camp/preseason and cut them to stick with declining Wilson and mediocre Jones. The club treats most of the roster as lifetime appointments and it’s biting them big time.

Translation : I will be satisfied if we are not blown out and have no faith in us winning. :D

Demski needs to get upfield instead of taking three steps horizontal to get vertical. Making himself way too easy to tackle and costing us 1-2 yards every catch even if he gets taken down by the first guy.

Maybe we need a tackling coach as these clowns can't tackle.

zach must be in concussion protocol. this is why you don’t **** around and put brown on the ar

vaval goes for an adventure but makes it work

I don’t know, I really think they could use another 5”8 guy who runs crossers.

That was nicely defended, no pi even though BLM is whining about it

the only thing as ugly as our start to this game/season is the logo on those hammy unis

gotta keep it going to avoid diapers. this team might need diapers soon though

Kramdi is not a safety

Are we sure that Collaros didn't go to the THE wedding, he looks hung over.

when your blind side tackle gives up more pressure than any one in the league, that will happen. The best pass rusher week to week is who ever plays against bryant and the one week from ceresna

Vaval consistently giving the offense the 40 yard line to start with is like buying an expensive toy for your kid only for them to play all day with the box.

We need an actual safety

I'd bet my life Lawler isn't in bounds with control of that ball. Why can't we see it?

all potential scoring plays are supposed to be reviewed.

You can't use injuries as an excuse. Every team has injury & health issues & the good ones overcome them. It comes down to what we've been saying. That the lack of depth is killing us. That some starters should have been pushed out years ago. That the way the team is built.the way it's roster managed is questionable & things are not getting better.

Singer made some plays in preseason, there's no reason he can't be the 5th receiver as a guy who maybe gets forgotten about and has a big game here and there... because the best we'll get out of cobb or Corcoran is a few catches for first downs. And that's our depth in the even pokey or demski goes out during a game. It's almost criminal.

also they raved about Vpool....and apparently we need an olineman (which I highly doubt in all honesty)...and really we coulda just dressed same group as last week and Vibert be 6th...Eli at center and Ellsbury at guard....but he gets bypassed for Mazzcua which to me is an upgrade to Vpool as I said in camp he was a beast and be shocked if he wasnt kept...so why have hom still around if a rookie overtakes him...we have that Poncious kicking around....thats 2 backup imports that wont see the field...so maybe replace one with an actual guy who could be impactful on defense...or a legit actual receiver....but no...break camp and stick with the known...some of which are past their prime and carry a whack of guys that wont see the field...some of which when an opportunity arises....gets bypassed by a rookie....just garbage management If they wanna see what Mazzcua can do...Swap him out with Elsbury...we have seen 3 games of him to see he is decent but not worth bastardizing your roster of a import elsewhere that could actually move the needle...give him a few games and then pick the better of the 2 But no we go 4 import oline needlessly and have to remove an American on defence to add a useless Korn...who we have seen for 3 yrs now be ineffetive and cut multiple times...where no one else picked him up....there is a reason for that...Sure Jenkins wasn't lighting it up...but he would offer more than Korn will...and he has shown some flashes....Korn has showed jackshit...and thats his ceiling...not floor christ they dont get benched even for a series or 2....we just send up out to be continually owned...Osh is just a bad game day/roster manager...he's good when he has a stacked lineup...but when he has to actually put the best one out there on evaluating/recognizing talent and usefulness, constructing a sound roster to mitigate any injury issues that could pop up in game...and have "actual" depth across the board that can actually be used...he sucks...worst in the league if we being honest

The thing is the Riders are defending champs and have looked good. Edmonton appears to have improved and has played well. Calgary seems headed in the right direction and even BC looked good last night and they honestly have way more offensive talent than we do. Our D can't stop anybody and we have a lack of offensive talent and overall depth. What's the bright spot?

Tis along season...anything can sill happen...that being said...and especially on defence we have regressed and actually gotten thinner depth wise and have less talent startring...from an already borderline level of talent that wasn't really top notch 4 games into season thats not a good sign, and also have shown no improvement on our scheme...how we deploy it and then how we execute...teams can read us like a book and when we do the unnecessary subbing, teams go tight after the are\s we rotated the true starter out of....and we show no intelligence to actually change things...or rethink it...just more of the same...again not good We look at the film and say we see the errors and fixed it...or it was an execution issue....but each week more of the same, or a a new issue teams exploit...when is the execution issue...and guys made a mistake excuse gonna be viewed as maybe its a matter of guys are not good enough....and or coaching is lacking? Cause really its getting old...and like they say excuses are for losers...and the alst 3 yrs been a lot of the same excuses...and more and each year a worsening record as well but we seeing it going the opposite way...and injury excuse is like i said in other post....for losers....our crappy depth...poor PR usage and keeping guys who wont make a difference is part of issue and factors into things heavily

It’s a long season. Lots of time for teams to rise and fall.

It just feels post COVID that the club is not cycling in fresh blood with potential anymore. It's like a few new guys, a hand ful of known mediocre guys that we pray will one day break out, and a lot of status quo.

I think defensively If JY wanted changes there would be..still gonna give em some time before i hit the panic button.Though i do agree that 5 th receiver with Corky..is definitely a pain in the ass to defend.

Just shows how far we've fallen as an organization... Now fans are happy with participation awards. Suddenly, it's 2013 all over again. The ghost of Tim Burke is haunting us. I'd rather win playing ugly than lose looking pretty.

We had a chance to make real changes last year but wimped out. Instead Miller gives Walters & Osh new 3 year deals? Three frigging years??? Why would you lock in 2 guys who performed way under expectations? In what universe did Miller think Osh would do things differently? It was never going to happen & now we're stuck with both on long term deals. Booch, you know better than to ask why Gabe Wallace isn't playing. According to Osh it's none of your business.

Agreed that we are unlikely to be a playoff team this year and that ought to be a clear reason to frog-march a lot of people out the door. I believe that Wallace injured his shoulder last game, and Eli at Center between Neufeld and Wallace ought to be a solid tandem, but much as we love our right guard, his effectiveness is rapidly drawing to a close.

Ham coming off a bye is scary... I'm not expecting a win, but if it's another close game with some signs of progress on D, I'll be okay. Just grow as the season goes along...

Honestly, I don’t see a panic button for us to hit. Short of airlifting and starting a bunch of rookies, which doesn’t happen any more, the only real move we have is to swap jy and hall which is going from pepsi in a can to pepsi in a glass.

I'd love to see the NMV clause removed as well, I'm not debating that part of it. I just think it has a low chance of happening. The players have fought for this in previous CBAs. You would need a majority of owners to want to see this gone for the ensuing fight / negotiation. The way negotiations typically work, the players will want some other concession, I don't believe this is something they will just agree to. That is the reality of real world negotiations with a strong union who represent the players.

I'm not in favor of getting rid of the NMC but it definitely needs to be adjusted. Put some type of cap on it (maybe a team can only be added to a list "x" number of times?). Players will still have say in where they play and it doesn't stop them from having full control once they hit FA.

Calling it now, Korny with 2 sacks, 3 pressures and a TFL.. You’ll see! Said no one.

Boy you're not kidding.......

Took a vacation to visit some family (near Oshawa). In Hamilton for this one. Will be behind the Bomber bench. Let's hope for a big upset. Go Blue

Get rid of the no move clause to help level the playing field. Help me understand how getting rid of the no move clause hurts the league?

dru brown to the reserve roster is odd. Idk why you wouldn’t put elgersma on it. Perkins gives us not only automatic short yardage game but a home run hitting runner. Elgersma needs seasoning. Dru is easily the second best qb on the team. Korny to the ar, bleh but not surprised. Jenkins back to the pr, I don’t mind though idk how much rope he should have as a guy who came in last year. But why not bring in some dl? We can’t just wait on nfl cuts any more. Too many guys will linger down south after cuts on a hope of pr time
