  2. honestly tho we should try and get Woli back for a bag of tape and balls for stretch rin...Ham not using him and he would easily take Corcorans spot on roster and actually be useful and is also a receiver that ZC and Strev trust....and we know how key he was in rungame especially when the weather gets cold

  3. Send them Hallet for Lewis. Don't they know you can never have enough pretty solid special teamers? Just ask MOS!

  4. I don't give a damn about Jones in particular, this is about how our roster is used.

  5. ....he would/could add something to the locker room also....I think he's just going stagnant in the hammer

  6. I was excited about Tony Jones when he came on the scene for an injured Bighill last year... "excited" as in, this guys will be a great place holder until we find a permanent fit... I never imagined the team would view him as the permanent fit... I thought Jon Jones had a chance to be that guy.... I want a MLB that's a game changer... not just an above average place holder... It continues to concern me that we hold on to 30-something linebackers while ignoring and releasing younger players... The silver lining for me is if the plan is to start seeing more defensive reps from Shay and Smith and get more Americans on the D-line... I'm all for it...

  7. guys, I'm pretty sure Ottawa is not going to trade all of their good players for our scraps... 🤣

  8. Ahh yes, the blind trust that our coaches always make the best choices when building the roster. Carry on gents, I don't want to interrupt your cult meeting.

  9. Has anyone considered that maybe J.Jones just didn't look good in our scheme or maybe he didnt get it, or maybe he half arsed it all year. What he did in Toronto is not relevant if he wasn't that player when he came here. I'm fairly certain we signed him to be that guy but sometimes a change of scenery can be bad for a player. We don't know Jack **** about why he wasn't playing other than the usual assumptions around here. I do know he played here and did not look good granted it was only one game, but the fact remains.

  10. Winning the turn over battle, and dominating the trenches, I remember the years when the Bombers would routinely do that. Who would have thought that correlates into wins!

  11. As @Booch's pr man that he doesn't know he has, what he's saying here is he appreciates the confidence some have in certain players, appreciates the multiple diverse opinions on the matter and may everyone here have great weeks with a loud and passionate GO BOMBERS to unite us. 🙂

  12. I have basically zero evidence to back this up. But it often feels like this team works in quarters. As in 4 games, 4 games, 4 games, 4 games. Doesn't always work out this way but it generally feels like if changes are needed they are made after a few games of trying. Last week marks the start of the last quarter. Also the obvious change in QB and WRs and just overall offense capabilities.

  13. FWIW, Google AI says we used our expansion window in August when we added guys like Moore, Houston & Echols.

  14. Dear hockey gods, Please ensure the Minnesota Wild have a miserable season, maybe a record of 0-82. If that is not doable, missing the playoffs by a point will suffice. Thank you. Amen.

  15. Obviously not. Because Hall can coach a D just as well as Burke can. Both of them needed a certain type of player to succeed. A Hall D relies on pressure up front, a Burke leans heavily on DBs who can cover one on one.

  16. Who says he couldn't play up to expectations? Really watch Tony Jones.play sometime... see if you think that's an untouchable player no matter what the # of tackles at the end of the game says. He's a decent piece, but he is replaceable and based on what I saw in one game, j. Jones could have easily replaced and done more.

  17. I have to admit, and I was at the stadium... the play calling for this game was really good - and the execution was great. I have been very critical of Hogan - and frequently calling for his head... and if he was calling the game - I was impressed. I do not understand how his calling can go from putrid to amazing in one week! Matt

  18. Yes, when they get back from the bye. I wouldnt be surprised if a couple of training camp cuts are brought in. Maybe guys that they liked but didn't have the room for out maybe they were injured. Just seems to be the team's MO.

  23. The sad thing is, something you do need to focus on pure talent and ability, not just a good work ethic and liking a guy's back story.

  24. likewise, if we had maas/dinwiddie and their staff coaching us, we very likely would’ve won 4 gcs in a row and be leading the cfl standings again. I don’t see this team losing in 21 with burke or the stretch run 19 either.

  25. I don’t think mos gives consideration to talent evaluation. I think he looks at intangibles, and singular factors he likes at positions. Oh he’s got the best hips i’ve ever seen, oh he’s the smartest guy on the field, even the lauded anthem of he’s real nasty. From all these years of seeing our roster building, I really think mos believes talent equals out in the end no matter what. Or that they are all just as talented. As though being crafty as a wr counter balances having the size of a gnat and athleticism of matt sheridan. Like if he collects the right pile of intangibles no matter the attributes, we will succeed. I doubt he’d look at our ship years and say we had a massive talent advantage.

  26. this staff is mystified and enamored with a shiny bobble like kids with a new toy that seems awesome If a player they deemed was the best makes a one play or has a game where they put up numbers....signed sealed and final...entrenched full time even if they go game after gae...week aftr week of crap....Takes an injury to be removed...and even then...we tend to play injured guys...not hyperbole either...facts

  27. he got hurt....Didnt lose it...then they went Canadian in the spot, and hence no room for him and or his salary...wasnt a performance base thing I dont think they really even had a plan....just cling to and hope the past resurfaces...again......that ship has sailed on many aspects of the past, and I also truly don't think Osh is a good evaluator of talent...he definately values some things over talent...and those things don't translate on the field to the best players

  28. He might have asked for his release. Being let go before the trade deadline allows him to play for another team this season if he gets picked up.

  30. I don't have an opinion one way or the other... I trust JY and the D coaches..... But... I thought Doug Brown had an interesting comment in a recent Pre Game Show when he said "the Bombers going from Bighill to Jones reminds me of when we went from Barrin Simpson to Joe Lobendahn..." As in, Joe Lobendahn was a fine MACK but, there are very few Barring Simpsons (or Adam Bighills) in th world...

  31. It's a ridiculous contract for a guy like Kiprizov, certainly but also the cap is going up and don't forget that what these guys make is a fraction of what the owners make. I'm not as "ATHLETES ARE ALL GREEDY PIGS!!" as some people. Careers are short... Take the money if you can get it. Having said that, this really fucks with where the bar is for guys like KConn and McJesus... Kiprizov is absolutely not worth this money.

  32. Such a waste with J.Jones. Between him, Mitchell and Logan, we wasted a lot of free agency $. Tony Jones is an ok linebacker but not a guy who deserved a two year deal (yes, he's back for 2026)

  33. We have no idea why he was signed or why he was released. Pretending otherwise is Twitter level conspiracy stuff. The LBs have not been an issue. J.Jones had some playing time and didnt light the world on fire. Sucks to see him go, but not worthy of panicking over it either.

  34. Laura Diakin is a much more superior host. She's a true professional who seems to understand the game better than Kate. She should be the full time host.

  35. I’d try to trade for Addison just as playoff insurance in case a WR or 2 get nicked up. He can do the stuff out of the backfield that Demski does and would be capable of covering any spot in the WR corps. Better than getting thinned out and having to use a guy like Corcoran in the playoffs.

  36. T Jones is on the top two tacklers in the league so were lucky to have him. We signed JJones for insurance but since Woodbey has proven to be better

  37. Even with J.Jones here T.Jones was never in danger of losing a spot. If the coach was so married to his guys at lb why even sign j.jones? That's the crazy part. Clearly the coach and gm are reading 2 different books at this point.
