  1. ZC has always needed top notch protection to be effective. He moves well but he rarely gets rid of the ball quickly. He also needs more guys who are effective downfield. This year's struggling offense is not a surprise at all. If not for warriors like Olievera and Demski, it'd be dire straits.

  2. I agree with most, Strev. Looked bad.....but so did Zach for the most part......I can't fully defend Strev. but our offence has been garbage all year.....including Brady's usage. I really believe the issues are far deeper than Strevelor...far deeper

  3. Yeah every time he gets knocked the **** out they call it a neck injury. If you believe that I've got some oceanfront property to sell... for cheap...

  4. Wanna give a HH shout-out to Brady for soloing our O. Vintage performance, no quit. He was the only thing we had and they still couldn't stop him for the most part.

  6. you’re right. though it does take time with the same unit to get them to that point. and we see changes every other week. On that note, big props to yoshi for pulling his career off the scrap heap for a second time. he looks worlds better than the last 2-3 years here. Dobson too. dude is finally down to where he should be weight wise and not struggling to adjust to being lighter. We are like that bf that gets dumped then his exs become hot. The former bombers list of ol around the league would be the best ol in the league. If we finally jettisoned kola and either started wallace or eli, then ran with the 3 imps our ol would improve a lot.

  7. Man, I really wanted Strev to be the guy. He's so likeable, personable, passionate and leaves it all on the field. To paraphrase Picard who paraphrased Melville, "If his chest had been a cannon he would have shot his heart upon it"...but alas he is not. He just looks lost out there. Hanging on to the ball too long and when he does finally pull the trigger you wind up suffering a minor coronary damn near every time. He's so likeable I feel bad for even stating obvious truths about him...but he just doesn't measure up to any other backup in the league. Will never forget the fire, passion and role he played in the Bomber's Cup wins but, in the words of Sinatra, "And now, the end is near".

  9. The only replacement required on the o-line is a solid center. We could do that hopefully in the off season. On the D-Line, I am not as sure. I was thinking replace Jake with a solid Canadian if one comes available, but we have solid guys for the D-Line in house that are not played. (At least in my opinion as a couch coach)* I am afraid, however, there will be very little changes in the off season if O'Shea remains Head Coach. No offense to him or those that love him, but when guys are done or not as good as the opposition, its time to make changes...most Championship teams do...I am perplexed at our lack of depth at some positions and our HC seems to be turning a blind eye to this team, despite hosting the Grey Cup this year...something they NEW well before pre-season. Its hard for me to say, but I think that it should be the end of the Canadian Mafia this season. All 3 should be let go. Not just Walters and Osh....but Miller as well. He's too cheap. He likely instructed Walters to keep salaries down....despite this being a Grey Cup Year....top that off with Osh stubbornly playing guys who are past expiry dates or that show him a lunch pail attitude in practices, as opposed to some with outstanding talent that don't always go as hard in practice but save it for game day. I am not suggesting that if you dont work hard in practice that you should be allowed to play, but its a fact alot of solid vets dont always go hard anymore in practice. This team also needs depth at all positions that can step in without the team missing a beat. In the days gone by, we had Clements and Hufnagel...2 actual QB'S...now we have Collaros, who seems to be on his last legs, and Streveler that isnt very effective this year, and a reluctance to try our back up QB'S or trade for a guy that is young, has shown talent in this league, and may be available for as little as a draft pick. Most on here are not your average fans, so I dont think that when we point out huge flaws that we are wrong. This team started 3-0 with a healthy defense...Parker at Safety, Bond was in the secondary...but we are 3-7 since, and its apparent that if you use injuries as an excuse, then we are lacking solid depth. I see some of our rookies as promising, and of course they are learning the CFL game, but I sure hope they dont go status quo next year as well. Our O-Line, D-Line, Secondary, Linebackers, Depth...all need to be addressed.

  10. I said that the day he was announced...a piss poor choice...zero experience at even a half assed university level...a lazy internal promotion and we'd pay for it....and yup...we paying And be open minded and realize...u can allocate yiur ratio anyway u want...not concrete spots like we have...even when they not best option Find best players...then work your ratio...we assbackwards

  11. I'll be shocked if there's a change at qb if Zach can't play. C'mon, this is Osh we're talking about. Just like Winnipeg was in 2001. Same outcome, too.

  12. If Winnipeg went against Exume & Sapp they probably would’ve faired better like Montreal did. Tevaughn Campbell would’ve been on Philpot duty today and likely held him down significantly better.

  13. Better question: how are they in first place? Both games games against a Winnipeg could have easily been Bomber wins...the Als took note

  14. Yeah...imagine...signed Dobson...dumped Kolo and his salary...figured out the best 3 to start out of neuf..Dobson.. Eli.. Wallace...all 4 really could essentially be your center...we'd be worlds better

  15. Yeah, broxton was here for a bit. Plus dobson who is killing it this year. Yeah, I dont see a lot of teams pursuing our FAs this year though. hope fully we go back into buy/build mode.

  16. Streveler looked like this before tho. This has been his cfl career with a couple of anomaly games at this point where he looks like a real QB but for the most part minus the explosion he is what he’s always been. I’m not sure how ppl can watch that game last night and think yup that’s a cfl qb. The case could be made we’d have been better off if he didn’t throw one pass.

  17. That's what I figured and said there was likeky some yip yapping at him during game...teams on same side of field is just dumb And see...we can agree lol

  19. Ahhh that's fair. I just feel like MBB has devolved into a place where people encourage their coaches acting like lunatics because it's anti-Osh.... Let's not allow ourselves to get to that point, regardless of what the Bombers are doing on the field.

  20. If guys like Dolegala and Patterson a few years back were able to walk into the CFL and be able to throw for 250 yards .... their is no excuse that a vet like Strev struggles mightily to do the same this far along his career. We can't blame LaPolice and his dink and dunk game for what is happening this season.

  21. tremendous arm talent and athleticism. really good poise too. My concern with wilson is he doesn’t seem to have timing, touch/accuracy on intermediate stuff and I didn’t see him take any steps forward from last year. He’s one of those home run swing prospects. his ceiling is very high if he puts every thing together, but he seems far from that point, very low floor. For my money, Grainger has more arm talent and significantly more dynamic talent, and was only a bit more raw. We saw dru brown start off with a really low floor and high ceiling, but he showed significant improvement after every opportunity. Wilson not seeming to have any of those steps this deep into year 2 worries me. reminds me a lot of dom davis. That said he hasn’t seen action since pre season, but with how limited/low quality practice reps are now I have a hard time seeing him take a step forward. But, we don’t stand to lose a lot by giving him a shot. he Should've gotten reps in the last game. If zach isn’t at practice to start the week, we should see roster moves. one way or another we need to bring in another qb with experience in the cfl.

  22. OL is only as good as the weakest link and kolo is extremely weak. He’s broken. That’s the problem.

  23. Or, as some have posted here, TW is not good enough, CS and ZC are the best we have. If factual, wtf is he doing on our roster then? If we are reluctant to play our depth because they’re not good enough help me understand how that is not a huuuge problem.

  24. our lines are bad... that's why the team is bad... if you could magically make our DL and OL top notch and leave everything else as is... this team would be in the mix for 1st again... Seriously though... what do we have to lose starting Terry Wilson next game??? Accidentally finding a good QB?

  25. I'd prefer that we move on from Streveler. He's never going to be a starter. He's struggling as a backup. Hypothetically he could be a CFL Taysom Hill but I feel his salary is better spent elsewhere and I also fear that if he stays he'll be penciled in as the #2.

  26. Whatever the method, both lines need to be upgraded. That much is obvious.

  30. Fajardos base deal this year was 180k, mbt 185k. Patterson in the off season was 88k. Iirc strev was in the 100-150k range with incentives that could’ve brought him up to 300k range. Given all that, I think you will usually spend about 900k on your 3 qbs in the cfl right now. With starters in the 400-600 range including starting incentives. I think established vets, high value qb2s market is in the 175k-250k range. with fringe starters in the 200-350 range. Obviously how much you budget for qbs 3 will trickle down. for us, i could see elgersma getting 150-200 with incentives and opt out. While what will happen depends a lot on zachs health, I think we will likely be in a position where we want to pay for a vet qb3. So for streveler, i could see 150k, if he’s bringing enough value. which would be fairly easy if you can take the kids gloves off and use him as a full on battering ram. That said, I think one of he and zach needs to go. so if zach doesnt retire due to injury, id rather go in another direction.

  34. I hope it’s this, I’d hate to think his pass rushing skill and/or effort fell off that fast. Like look how he played in the 19 and 24 GC’s. Either he doesn’t want to do that all the time or it’s what you said and it’s schemed that way. The 19 GC is one of my all time favourite sequences in a Bomber game. Where for some reason Ticats have Brandon Banks of all people try to chip him. WJ knocks Banks spinning into next week, kills Evans, takes a RTP, then next play kills Evans again for a strip sack. The game was ours from then on Also yes RIP Craig Roh. From what I heard just an all around great person. Tragic.

  40. yeah i mean if he’s not gonna be a qb1, you can just unleash him as a football player. Put him out on kick cover like we did with bryan bennett in the past.

  41. How often does a 3rd qb play...never...its a perfect way to get another asset to use You so focused on this yr...u do realize he blew out his knee in banjo bowl eh? Playing less than a yr removed I seem to recall he also got close to 100 yards last night...not bad for a guy who can't run....and if used as I mentioned...his role woukdnt be to run over people You sure seem to know a lot...your main basis for guys u think are no good is "hes cooked" I think he or me...maybe we... had our way your wife if you have one and took your dog...not sure cause u sure Harbour a lot of hate fir both of us...its cute 😍 We bring back Jake...Wilson...Korn...scmuck...some our teamers...if there's no potential we will bring em in Our system and coaching ain't doing anyone any favors...so....

  42. I’m not sure we can win any more games this year the way it’s looked lately. Maybe Ottawa, maybe Montreal here. I don’t see them beating Saskatchewan, Edmonton or Hamilton regardless of where the game is.
