  1. if you can say one thing about the Faj....he's a tuff s.o.b who keeps coming back for more...You gotta like that aspect about him And over the last 3 yrs he has actually evolved and improved quite a bit...as long as you can limit his yapping to the camera in interviews you can almost stomach him

  2. I would take 2025 Fajardo over 2025 Zach in a second

  3. Think he's actually doing a pretty good job of making chicken salad out of chicken ****. Oliviera looks like he's about 70%. Have one go-to guy in Demski. Sterns seems somewhat reliable. Everyone else is a basketcase. So his best receivers are the two guys under 5'10. OL is not assignment sound. Wallace is physical, but can be easily tricked to chase a block and give up the most direct route to the QB/ball carrier. Discipline and awareness not there yet. Kolankowski and Neufeld get beat straight up more often than not. Randolph has been the only consistent piece.

  4. Too stupid to know when he's beaten.

  5. Outplaying Zach in a Grey cup sadly isn't all that high of a bar.

  6. Not my fault you’re blinded by your love for anything Blue and Gold. Fajardo is an annoying weiner but he’s playing way better than Zach

  7. Yeah but it's going to be similar to Dobson in terms of what he gets to on his next deal. You'd like to see a bit more progress heading into next season, last on his rookie deal. He's got way better feet that Dobson and I like that he is seeking out contact...but too much opening the gate in pass pro to do it, turning his hips, chasing blocks. Teams 100% have deemed that B gap vulnerable to blitz if they run stunts with their tackles to move Wallace around. I don't think we should have 3 Canadian OL (of who we have) on the field this season unless we had some crazy injury bug. Once Vanterpool is back they should be starting him, Bryant and Randolph.

  8. We have a lot of the worsts in the CFL right now but the big one is that we have the worst starting QB
    3 points
  9. The centre is terrible, but if Big Stan is healthy the OL is decent.

  10. That was a depressing game to watch. **** them either way but Sask is a good team this year. I’m not looking forward to LDC at all.

  11. As much as he irritates me, it’s true. Fajardo outplayed Zach big time in the 2023 GC too.

  12. Riders aren't coming back to earth guys. Unlike other years where they were winning with smoke and mirrors, this year they have been clearly the best team in the league all year. We are going to get obliterated.

  13. The game in Calgary turned on a dime when Streveler was stuffed on 3rd and short at around the Stamps 10. Had we scored, I believe victory was distinctly possible even with the DBs dressed that day and some other brain freezes by our OC. Easy for me to say though. The CFL is an intetesting league, on any given (pick a day).....

  14. I actually think we would have beat Calgary with the current lineup with Allen at safety.

  15. If that was literally true, that would result in a lot more female viewers.

  16. hence the less depth and talent part Add in an OC who pales in comparison to Buck in a huge way....we just handicapping ourselfs even more

  18. Argos vs. Elks was an entertaining game. Fajardo takes an absolute pounding...not sure how many more downs he'll be playing.

  19. Even the TSN commentstors are starting to mention it.

  20. Yes, on that second and 3, I would have left Collaros in and called a "regular" play, one with a couple of options. Putting all the big guys in and giving Streveler no option other than try to find a hole to whatever side the play called for. (Can he audible to change it? Is he even allowed that?) And, with his not totally healed body, he hasn't looked good on these short yardage plays. Wilson, imo, has looked better (more yards gained per attempt, I think). So if a play like that is the (dumb)call, get in your better player for that situation. It still ticks me off.

He seems to be really struggling with the pressure. And anything longer than 20 yards is usually off target

  25. Long season weather is going to be a factor as the season rolls on. Playing well now is great but come October and November is when it really counts

  26. This is the best overall team he has been on, though. Riders have been incrementally improving for years while we have been slowly getting worse.

  30. It's more of a back handed compliment. He doesn't quit when he's in trouble, he keeps trying to make a play. Sometimes it blows up sometimes it works.

  32. Sad to say, but Fajardo is better than Collaros and if he would agree to wear a gag when not behind center, I would take him over Collaros in a heartbeat.

  33. Following up on this, is Wallace a guy that its worth it to deal with the growing pains now for future gains? I think so but you have more technical knowledge.
    1 point
  34. and Wallace just needs to be kept in his spot to get valuable reps and grow...we fine there... and have some future pieces tho we need to either draft a legit starter potential guys as a rookie or actually dip into FA and make a meaningful signing

  35. I think it's safe to say this will be his final season. By far the worst starting Center in the CFL. Osh sure plays his favourites.

  36. Serviceable when healthy, I am speaking only of this season.

  37. On a rare positive note: we now seem to have a solid safety and Tony Jones had his best game as a Bomber- he seems to be getting better.
    1 point
  38. Yep, it is disappointing. I would have considered opening the bank (darn any penalties) for another FA or two or different FAs. I have to wonder what Miller/Walters were thinking. (The extension for Collaros is one of many head-scratchers.) Having said that, I believe they'll be playoff bound (probably without a home game) and if the D continues to grow and the currently cringe worthy O can at least become more consistent, we have a shot.

  39. Yeah and I've said both qbs have to deal with a pile of **** around them... all I'm doing is pointing out the hypocrisy of some people who simply write off streveler as sucking meanwhile do all sorts of excuse making for collaros when he is throwing too many picks (2 more last night let's not forget), getting sacked when he holds the ball too long, having long periods of offensive ineptitude etc etc etc.

  40. I not overly concerned with the defense...injuries and all...we have pieces to be successful and it's a matter more of how we use them, and some we shouldn't use.....A couple more small yweeks and allowing a few guys to grow as they go and we should be alright...scheme at times is still a bit questionable but we have the athletes for the most part to be real good Offense.....yikes.....Oline isnt the issue many make it out to be...we just need to stick with the same 5 guys......and try a different center if not for anything to show we are actually trying to be better OC is an issue.....and when you don't have really any offensive weapons that scare anyone...and a running back who is definitely not 100 percent, your in for some tough sledding...why we haven't been bringing in legit wr guys constantly thru this first 8 weeks is a bit concerning....big bodied types....burners...and ones also who have return skills too For a yr we have chance to play in the Cup in our own back yard, the way we have gone about everything since January is disappointing to say the least...and sadly, not shocking

  41. last I looked ZC has thrown more picks than TD's as well....and if not for that one big game last yr would have in 2024....he ended up at 17-15 Streveler isnt at 100 percent so hard to judge him based on that as well as the mess the whole offence is right now....Sort of can say same with ZC but he has also been trending don since 2023 too, and really in all our playoff games since 2019....he really hasn't been the key cog as to why we won...has been average at very best right thru the 5 yrs, and can easily be said he was a significant reason for the losses tho But I do chalk a lot of that up to piss poor rostering....coaching....and in-game decisions more than anything....so it's not all on ZC but his decline is real and thinking otherwise (hello Osh and some fans) is just sticking head in the sand Is Strev the answer?...who knows....is ZC...who knows....but he isnt the future thats for sure....if anything we need to design a system to fit what we have, and in some ways what we dont have and also give Strev lots of use...try and develop some things suited to him and actually do some coaching, cause we gonna need him in some capacity this yr for sure, and looking at the QB landscape next yr is slim pickens for a savior...nobody is gonna trade us their starter...no rookie is gonna come in and be a bonafide starter, and salivating about some rando backup elsewhere who cant start where he is, isn't the best avenue either. So we likely need him next too....so start the actual process of putting in the work with him now We know it's gonna be ZC here as we tied our wagon to him already, Strev deserves to be back totally healed from surgery to fight it out and hopefully both have actual legit weapons to work with, and a mind leading them to create something

  43. I have to admit that I was fit to be tied while watching the second half last night. Fortunately, I was watching with my 8 year-old grandson and 5 year-old granddaughter and some Lego blocks so I kept it under control. I might have auggested that the coaches should be fired but in a nice way, sort of. Anyway, after a sleep, I think that things are shaping up with the D and with the injuries to the DBs in particular, the team will be forced into bringing in some bodies that may develop. Younger seems competent enough although I didn't like his schemes towards the end of the game. Special teams are coming along pretty well, too, that hiccup of a TD return against them excepted. They still take the odd unnecessary penalty though. I like Vaval and I'm beginning to appreciate Sheehan. Sergio, well, he's no Medlock but he's Sergio so that's quite alright. As for the offence, I'm not as positive about them. I hope that Hogan's Zero can figure it out (soon) but I'm not holding my breath. Collaros surprised me with that run to set up the FG so perhaps a few more roll-out plays should be called for, although not too many of those where he has to throw across his body. I'm just hoping for a competent O but I'm concerned that the go-to-guy for the long ones is Demski. I'm hoping for them to make the playoffs and since this is rhe CFL where anything can happen...... Go Bombers Go!

  45. A couple games ago, we had Strev throw into the endzone...too cute...not smart....we should have ran on first ran on second and kicked a FG at worst on 3rd, while eating up clock This past game we do an ultra conservative short yardage play on 2nd and 3 for no real good reason....then we try a what 57-yard field goal.....when all we needed to do was run down the clock and try and pin them deep with a punt....oh by the way with what 40ish seconds left and their back-up QB in...and they would have needed a TD to tie Those are terrible calls, terrible, too safe but yet to aggressive all at the same time......Just play the odds...
