Wonder if he gonna waste another yr in 2025 like he did in 2023...waiting...not earning a penny...if he doesn't make a roster out of camp He gonna be 27 going into next season..would project as a project at best most likely...can't see a team investing much time or money into him especially when there are tons of guys just like him churned out of NCAA ball...younger...and have played u.s ball since 5 yrs old.5 points

Some positions also really benefit from a 2nd go round and year. It’s more optimal to have guys on the pr, but with that limited it’s just good business to bring some guys back. You also some times just have more talent than you do spots. We could bring back a couple of the lbers cut in camp this tc. Thomas got picked up by the ALs, but petrishen and gemmel would be nice. Moses depends on health. Be hard to do better than last year at lber. Maybe Coleman too, iirc he was a legit T who kinda suffered for reps. Grainger I think will Be back and I like that too. We often seem to recycle camp dbs into the next year, idk if that’s ever worked out for us. Db is especially in our system is kind of a quick make it or miss position. But it’s also hard like you said to get 20-30 db bodies in camp. If a guy brings some thing you like and has the upside makes some sense to fill out with them.4 points -
sometimes we value certain things way too much over actual talent and ability.....can't be denied....and should be nipped in the bud now after 3 consecutive yrs of failing....4 points

So here's the disconnect... you see it as inability to find better players, everyone else sees it as reluctance to tell vets to go away. Best DT combo the team used all year was woods and adams (where did they get those guys again?) Yet they stuck with the idea they needed a Canadian at the position so it was lots of Thomas.4 points -

how I look at it is that this crap he spews about they all here cause they are starter caliber...and because they give us a chance to win ...they here in the building for a reason.....is something he doesnt even believe in himself....as he shows he rarely lets a guy get a chance to play unless someone has had a limb fall off....ZC finger almost fell off....but just wasn't enough So if he doesn't even believe it...why should fans?? exactly this....when guys are given the chance to play they can do great things....goes for the second and third stringers too...no?....and if they have no faith in them doing something great...why they on the roster??....Contradicts his previous statements that they all here cause they give us a chance to win...so why wont you play the healthy guys over an injured..... argos also let their best players play....and will yank a gy for sucking...even if it rufffles said guy's sucking feathers...as we have seen with some squabbling on their sidelines...that being said....it has allowed them to win the 2 cups theyhave been in recently.....maybe after being taught 2 straight lessons from them, maybe we took some notes???3 points -

I would say as far as the Bombers go, we are under exposed. We used to get good TC reports and things like that but now we get next to nothing. We mainly just get to see guys like Jackson waste a roster spot on game day and have to speculate as to why. Was he doing something in practice that showed promise and we just never got to hear about it or see it?3 points

Yeah a limited Thomas is fine, and Wilson if healthy is a good player (I'd move on because he never stays healthy). It's Bighill they really just need to cut ties with and remove the temptation. He's never healthy and even when he is he isn't good enough any more.2 points

Just to do a fly by here, I don't think it was primarily this, ie.,starting JT for ratio help although it obviously helps for other positions. Based on the things MOS has said and demonstrated with certain players, I think regularly starting and giving reps to JT is the difficulty MOS has with tough decisions needed for players who have given so much to the BB's but aren't the best option at times to help put the team in the best position to be successful.2 points -
I was thinking about that during Grey Cup when the Argo's re-added Robert Priester to their active roster. He's a prime example of a recycled DB who has bounced around, going on and off the active & practice rosters for us (twice), Edmonton and Toronto but never seems to really stick. He's been cut & brought back like 15-20 times between the 3 teams - his transaction page on the CFL site is really long for a guy who's only played 28 games in 6 years.2 points

we had to at DB and for a certain extent receiver.....but Dline...LB....We just ignore the fact we are weak and sub par because Osh has his fav's....his perception the guys are top rate.....and thats that.....until his mind set changes somewhat...it will be yr after yr of 2..3 questionable guys rostered....excessive use of additional Cdn's even when not needed and not the best option and long in the tooth vets...who server next to no purpose anymore other than blocking/developing new blood....just something we gonna have to deal with as long as he is here....sure we had success in 2 cup wins....put together a couple of all-time great reg. season records....but that was when the top line talent was still top line and best in the league...3....yrs ago now....we don't have that anymore and didn't properly re-stock the cupboard....and in the instances where we added a body or two it was out of necessity (season ending injury/guys leaving) not because we chose to go with the younger...better guy with upside. Flame away about my take on it all you want...some of you will as history has shown but we have not managed our roster nor put any forward thinking/progression plan in place for the most part....Hopefully last yr was the start of it and it continues this winter with not re-signing some guys...and going after some legit free-agent guys...even if they have an edge and are a bit nasty....the culture in the room will take care of itself and guys will fall in line....we dont need 46 choir boys2 points -

I think we were due for a change ...be it management or players......The last Cup loss was a big hint that that should occur....Now how we deal with those changes will dictate what the future is for this club....immediate and long term....We need to give serious thought to who is available coaching wise right now and make our move(s)....Serious plan for FA should be paramount as well and the more immediate task is reupping the guys we want around for 25'....Lots of work for Walters and I know he's up to the tasks at hand ...I hope we're giving some real indepth thought to the quarterbacking for 25' as I think that's the key moving forward...IF a big move is being planned, I hope we make it early and that' where it all starts2 points -

Ba is one to consider as well. He was solid in Pass cover this year. Awful with tackling, can’t be in a run fit or blitz any more. We really need to keep grooming the next guy. Which comes down to Cole and Kelly. I’d even be happy to use them in packages and together some. Ba would be an excellent guy to be a player coach as well if he’s interested.1 point

That’s true, unless your an old vet then you get till you can’t walk any more. Though I’ll say Jy n crew did a great job early in the season with the secondary. It took a few weeks for the guys to mesh (and getting karamoko out of heavy rotation) but they really found their groove in the system. Especially the ford kramdi side. The lbers got decent run too, but just because of injury. I expect Cole to take a big step next year, but I could see Ayers taking that step first too.1 point

While I was walking the dog last night a random memory came up where MOS mentioned post game that ZC deserved to go back into the game after his injury. This got me thinking that a really tough decision for a head coach to make is overriding his undying loyalty, dedication and appreciation to an athlete who has given so much to the organization but he has to sit him or cut him to ensure he puts the team in the best position to be successful. I love MOS in how he has helped bring our organization to be the gold standard it is over the past 5 years but I think this is one area where he really struggles. I can totally understand. It's complex, it's tough but it's part of the gig he signed up for.1 point -

I don't think that's the case at all. Both guys have been candidates for GM/HC jobs for a couple years now so it was only a matter of time. If either guy wanted to advance their career (which they both did and now have done), it wasn't going to be in Winnipeg, at least not at this time with Walters & MOS here. As far as a thank you goes, it's only been a day (for Buck) or less (for Ted) since their hirings were made official. Give it time. Winnipeg was very important to Buck and his family so I'd be shocked if he didn't say something at some point. I don't think I've ever heard anything from Ted - he's been more of a behind the scenes guy so I'm not sure that will change.1 point -

If you go to Grand Forks/Fargo they have Paradiso's which is the same tex-mex food that Chi Chi's used to serve. The Chi-chi's on Regent Ave used to be very busy and very successful back in the day. I remember always having to wait for a table and the free taco chips and salsa and everyone 'wow'ing over the sizzling fajitas that were being served. I do remember it being a good experience with good food. Eventually the owner sold it at its peak and the new owners had no clue how to run a restaurant and within 2 years they lost their franchise and renamed it to a different Mexican name and then closed shop not much later. I'm always amazed that nobody has set up a Tex-Mex shop since then.1 point
