Tsn falls into the oh so American trap of thinking they need to provide entertainment besides the game. Beirness I never minded on sports centre but there clownshow of a panel they have is just awful. Not everyone needs to be the class clown. Just be professional and moderate the actual personalities. Milt was always the class clown and he is useless on the panel because they're all trying to ham it up. Barker can take his LOUD NOISES and get the **** gone any time.

perfect scenario being in drivers seat now....we control our fate.....second last game...at home....full jacked house to clinch West. We play our butts off and send another message. to the league that Cup goes thru us....then a nice bye week to lick any wounds....then a nothing game in Mtl to close out the season...let key guys get some reps to stay engaged and sharp...plus allows the subs moocho reps.....then we wait as the other 2 teams beat each other up 2 times (this week, and in playoffs) just to have a chance to come into our barn with us being rested...prepared....fingers crossed totally healthy, and in front of an insane play-off crowd and unreal atmosphere....I like them chances of trip #5 in a row to the Cup

unfortunately that might not be possible with a few injuries last game... I guess we'll find out later in the week... I'll be honest... Don’t know much about him other than he bounced around between the PR and AR. Sounds like he just fell through the cracks in Montreal with a pretty deep LB corps. 6”3 225, pretty big dude. Knows the league, worth a look at the very least. Good signing.

I like Sanchez...and if allowed to just do his players/perspective and analysis and not have to have a pre-determined opponent on the panel he'd be just fine Barker just blabs on and on and for every actual good nugget he actually gives...he gives 10 wtf ones Lapo is the star of the group and if TSN was smart they would have him there with a segment each week, or better yet give him a half hour CFL show a week... Dunnigan is good, and at times you can tell he is frustrated with the other panel members....But I'd love to see him permanent in the booth as his unique way of doing games is gold..... Kate is fake....half time doesn't have a clue of what/why and for most part is under the impression it's the Kate Bierness comedy hour...and it's just sad to watch....she is not supposed to take the lead and be the feature but seems like she is trying...or the production team is wanting that....she needs to throw to the game....initiate discussion between the panel members.....and let "them" discuss....her 2 cents are not required and are garbage.. Milt...meh...when he is being serious and actually talking football he is good....but when they do the differing opinion on things...and the stupid skits...it's bad...tho I am sure he is told to be that way so is it his fault? TSN needs to clean up their act across the board from production....in game production...replays...graphics....and get rid of some of the play by play and color guys...as they are outdated and just not good...Suitor...Smith... They should have a Forde/Lapo team....Ferguson/Dunnigan and find a guy for Neilson...maybe BLM?....but someone who has played and is well spoken

Lapo should be the featured analyst for as long as he wants the job. There’s no better in the business right now. I’d dump Barker, Milt (love the guy but he’s awful on the show) and Kate, move Matty to the booth permanently to pair with Marshall Ferguson (I feel that would provide a better contrast than Marshall/Forde) I’d keep Sanchez though, he’s ok to listen to when he’s more toned down on podcasts, he can be fairly insightful when he’s not doing the arguing schtick with Milt. Laura Diakun as host/Lapo with a coaches perspective/Sanchez with a players perspective would be the best out of who they have right now.

I’m guessing that Barker was originally picked to provide a coach’s opinion plus he is an Eastern Division voice. Lapolice gives you the first piece in spades, so dump Barker and move Lapo away from The absolutely embarrassing kids table and onto the main panel. It’s too bad that the CFL doesn’t have any insiders that are able/willing to provide insight as that would be money.

I think BLM stays in Hamilton VAJ to Edmonton as a free agent. MBT to Calgary. Riders keep Harris. I'd like to see Winnipeg pick up Taylor Powell in the off season.

Please get rid of Barker, Milt and Sanchez. None offer any insight into the game. I like Kate, but it doesn't really matter who hosts, so long as all the rest of the panel is gone. Keep Lapo to provide real analysis. But, this would require TSN to put some thought and effort into their broadcasts. And, we know they won't do that.

I don't know about Bo. Has he announced that this is his last season? Given how well he has played, and how they turned around their season, I bet he comes back for one more.

Anytime you are trotting out a 40 year old QB you are taking a gamble on your season. Especially one who playing the best he is able to nets you a .500 record.

Cody is a perfect example of film study shutting down a QB. He is a creature of habit. For the first 10 starts of his career in Regina he was on fire, until defences studied the film and figured out that he defaulted to retreating and spin-o-rama when under pressure and then he was awful until he re-invented his game. Now defences have figured out his new tendencies and he has been pretty average to below average as this season has gone on.

To each their own. I find her voice to be grating and obnoxious. Tbf though, I don’t just want to pick on Kate Beirness. I find Milt just as annoying. The whole panel really, besides Lapo and Laura, who I think is a much better host for the same reasons as the others posted above. To be honest, it’s a TSN fundamental issue with me. I want to see football be the star, not forced banter and gimmicky nonsense. Could you see Tony Dungy wearing overalls on NBC, or Andrea Kramer eating a big burger at halftime? We don’t even need a full panel, just get 2, maybe 3 entertaining, knowledgeable people (Lapo and a host, Laura or someone else) and let them talk for halftime and pre/postgame while showing highlights and player interviews, something like ESPN used to have with Chris Berman and Tom Jackson would be better suited for CFL. TSN is trying to do it like NBC/FOX do with the network pregame shows and FNIA stuff, but the NFL has a dozen or more games every Sunday to talk about. You don’t need a 5 person roundtable to talk for half an hour before every game in a 9 team league. Save the panel for a weekly preview show on Wednesday nights or something.

Really good point, the key is production. You could have the most insightful people in the world, but when they’re told to be “personalities” above all else it won’t matter. TSN could have Don Wittman in his prime and they’d have him eating poutine and playing an inflatable banjo. Agree 100% on the graphics, replays ect. They’re stuck in 2006.

I get that bc couldn’t let him walk else where. vaj has never been consistent or been able to win in the clutch. The real dumb thing bc did was throwing Rourke right in. They should’ve held him back a month easily while he built chemistry with the team again, learned the play book etc. even vaj missing shouldn’t have been met with instant Rourke play. He’s going into his sophomore play in the worst way possible.

Kate doesn't come across as being herself on the panel. She's over the top, trying to be funny but failing badly, loud and obnoxious. Randorf was excellent because he played the straight man role and was himself.

For whatever reason Pierce decided to play Strev like how LaPo did in Strev's 2nd season. It was extremely frustrating to see them get "cute" and not let the guy just run normal plays. In his first season he had zero issues dropping back and tossing mid range/bombs down the field with no trickery. Also the non stop using him as a bull dozer broke him down the last time and once again did the same this season. Let the guy roll out and throw on the move... don't try to make him the next Mike Sellers. It was very very unfortunate how they used him this season and I hope he gets another shot in the league where a team will just let him play as a mobile QB and not a trick play specialist.
