Completely agree with you... he seems like a great team leader and an all around good person (based on my minimal interactions with him)... unfortunately (for him) there's more talent around now and we can't keep a roster spot for a guy just b/c he's a good teammate... If you're tall and you can cover. You're more then likely going to be in the NFL. Health #1, I'm sure the Bombers training staff are monitoring him closely for any effects that can surface sometimes well after the actual hit (dizziness, headaches, nauseousness, vision issues etc). Jessie Briggs and Khalil Bass should be in Friday, but Johnny Adams still a ways out yet. Said they don't wanna rush him because "we want him ready for the long haul"... Ummmm because good experienced Canadian Oline players are as rare as unicorns in this league. Sure we could bring in 1000 crappy ones but we won't be finding any good ones that can help. Kind of surprised the Bombers didn't pick up anyone from the cut lists but maybe Keeping isn't gone for too long and they think Couture can hold the fort until he returns.
