Walters crapped the bed on receivers. I can’t see Winnipeg competing in the West without greatly improving their receivers and special teams returners.

Yes. They had no adjustments to the D at all

That’s my point. Yes Nichols didn’t have a good game. The Stamps D was lights out today.

So Nichols is responsible for not having a target?

The problem today wasn’t Nichols. If your receivers don’t get open then what’s he supposed to do?

The rational would be on the interference was that the rule favours the offence and regardless of who contacted whom the end result was the receiver was prevented from having a shot at catching the ball. On the lateral, there was no reason to challenge at that point because it was a positive play for the D. If I were to choose though I would have challenged the lateral because that was clearly an easy win and would have made it second and a whole pile of yards.

Thanks Jason. Very classy post and I couldn’t agree more with your comments... including the hit. I hope Brandon is okay.

Again, I am not gonna cry over it but guys being so sure of the call I think are fooling themselves a bit. The live call was incomplete and the video replay is 100% inconclusive because at key points the ball and therefore any concept of control or lack thereof are obstructed. The bits I see Rogers doesn’t bobble or lose control until after he is down so in my opinion it should be a TD.

As much as I hate the Riders, the thought of going East or BC finishing above us is far less desirable. So I want Saskatchewan to win or tie today and Calgary and Winnipeg to win next week. That will force BC East and Winnipeg to go to Saskatchewan. I really don’t want to go East or face BC. Mosaic and Calgary are tough places to play but both teams offences are far less scary.

I’m glad Streveler got more meaningful reps, hopefully, he gets more work because he needs it.

It has nothing to do with who they play. If BC wins they win the season series and the best that Edmonton can do with one game left is tie BC and Winnipeg.
-
Throw a flag on the goal post dammit!

If the Bombers win their next game and BC and Edmonton lose then the BC v. Edmonton game during the bye should eliminate one of the two.

If Winnipeg wins next week and BC and Edmonton lose then one of the two could be eliminated when they meet the following week. BC loses they are gone if Edmonton loses then they'll be gone. -
Hervey Questions Jennings Work Ethic
Dragon37 replied to SpeedFlex27's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yeah. He can paint it however you like it is the fastest way to a poison work environment. Again, you can criticize but the best way is in a general way. My understanding is that Jennings works as hard as anyone else on that team. This reminds me when Bauer and Kelly went after Simpson in the press. Dicks. -
I guess you missed the sarcasm

Because Western teams have such a great record in the cross-over. There is no way in heck I wanna go through Ottawa and Hamilton. No thanks.

The Esks can’t get 2nd, I don’t think and thus right now the road to GC is through Saskatchewan right now. I’m okay with that. Though I agree I would rather face Edmonton.

Hervey Questions Jennings Work Ethic
Dragon37 replied to SpeedFlex27's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don’t have much of an issue with calling out the different groups of players on the team. Being general in your criticism is not a bad thing. However, that should be the duty of the coach. The GM should STFU because that is just toxic to the workplace
