Grass fields probably bring him back to the last time he was a regular starter in football before the cfl. Pop Warner. imo grass sucks compared to modern turf. This guy also didn’t play on the overglorified carpet that the sky dome used to put on top of concrete. remember how bad edmontons natural grass surface used to be? Shaggy slippery hard to get footing on. Teams didn’t get to practice on the game field either so they really struggled to get cleats set up optimally.
