They did but that combo was awful especially vs the run.

Why? Only team out there really willing to pay starter money would be bc... and they are doing... well whatever that situation is

No money left, seeing as all three just went Evander Kane at the casino with their free agent money.

Eli may yet be back, but Desjarlais looks to be able to stick in the NFL for at least a year. What what I've been able to garner about Dobson, he looks like he would be able to start in the CFL, but may stay in the NFL cloud for a bit.  Lord knows he has the size, mobility and attitude to make an impact in the CFL.

Gotta wonder what Montreal is doing. Theyve gotta have like $700K-$800K tied up in QB salary.

Schilz signed in hamilton for $125,000. Probably what we were paying Sean McGuire. 

I wonder if McGuire realised his situation in the league and becoming a starter just wasn't going to happen anytime soon thus why he's looking at other options

With all the players we lost today, shouldn't that have freed up some money to go out & sign some more of our free agents or others from the CFL pool available? I get we lost some guys but I figured we'd get maybe another receiver or db?? I don't know why we've sat on our hands today.

Well, another backup qb bites the dust. Yeah, maybe McGuire had a bit of bad luck in Montreal with the weather conditions but that was his only chance to impress & he didn't. Why do I think rookies like Bo Levi Mitchell, Michael Reilly, Tom Clements, Jeff Garcia, Tracy Ham, Dieter Brock, Doug Flutie & Matt Dunigan would have found a way to impress.

I didn't see the Harris signing until a couple of minutes ago. Yeah, crazy the money being thrown around. That salary cap must be going up, up, up... If not, a lot of teams will be handcuffed the way the Stamps & Lions were 2-3 years ago.

Ive thought about this too. I mean sure weve given some raises out but think of the salary weve saved in Adams, Lawler, Harris, Darby, Stove, Jones, Desjarlais, etc. Im far too lazy to crunch the numbers but thats gotta be damn near 1 million of salary out the door? So youve given a few raises, and say $150K to Ellingson. Sure youve got to put aside some for guys like BA, but by my summer school math Walters should still have a chunk to play with. Surely enough to have brought back Harris......

we retained the MOP QB, the MODP, 7 of 9 linemen including the reigning MOOL,

the national talent we did lose all had succession plans, except for Kongbo.

Kicker and QB2 are my only real concerns.
