  • I’m not a big LaPolice guy as far as our OC spot goes but to say he wasn’t responsible on some level for our running success is up there with the dumbest stuff ever written on this forum.

LaPo came under harsh criticism here by me & others on a daily basis but this playoff season when it counted he guided our offense brilliantly. He was a huge reason why we won the Grey Cup. As I c

A real good guy. He deserves another HC shot. Hopefully he can inject some life into that franchise. They do have great fans.

I am good with Buck as our OC. I’d be shocked if he left if He was offered the OC job here.

Who else is out there? I think Buck could make it work.

Wish Lapo all the best.

I wonder if Lapo steals a guy like Jordan younger? He’s going to want to hire his in DC.

Are we very sure that Buck Pierce NEEDS to be our OC ,are we rushing it or are they still looking?

I think I'd stay within, And promote Buck. He's been studying under Lapo for a number of years now. Id love to see what he can do. Just my opinion.

Constanza is the only guy that interests me outside of Buck

Thanks...I can’t access the Freep pay site. Must be why I’ve never heard of him

I wonder if some of our players (Nichols) or coaching staff goes with him to Ottawa now?!

Buck might.

I could see Matt Nichols as Redblacks QB if he can still throw a football after that shoulder injury.

It will be Arbuckle or Masoli.

If Buck will follow Lapo, I wouldnt mind Costanza. But I hope O’Shea make a phone call to Milanovich.

Well deserved. Grey Cup winning OC. Wonder if he’ll call the offensive plays? Needs a QB. Probably doesn’t bode well for Sinopoli putting up huge numbers.  Check down city baby!

I would be quite surprised if Buck left.  I'm assuming that the way that O'Shea works, he'll promote from the inside if he feels Buck is ready.  There are fewer variables here personnel wise, other than who the starter will be, as compared to Ottawa, plus he has roots here.  So if he's going to be an OC in 2020 I expect it's right here.  I have no idea if here's ready, but he's got the two most important attributes going for him on this board, he known and liked.  All we don't know is how good he'll actually be.  Other than that, he's ready.

I don’t think he would continue on that path..

I mean, why would he?

Nichols though...

Interesting that as far as I know lapo’s name was never linked to the Ottawa job.

And now out of the blue he’s got the job. Someone’s good at keeping a secret.

Well no offense,  but what you don't know could fill a warehouse.

No just joking, never pass up an opportunity to use that line. He was mentioned as being interviewed for sure so it isn't out of the blue.

I don't see any of our assistants leaving to work for a **** like Desjardins, hopefully Lapo isn't left hanging like Campbell was last year for the Redblacks...

Milanovich is making 750k in the NFL as QB coach...

Edmonton is rumoured to have approached him for the HC job...

With everything that is going on with him... I don't think he will settle for an OC role with us... Even if we are the..... ******* GREY CUP CHAMPS!!!! Damn- that does not get old! lol

I assume LaPo is leaving on good terms, I think that means that he's unlikely to sabotage the team he is leaving by decimating their coaching staff.  Dinwiddie is also available and it seems unlikely he'll get a HC offer.

Nah, Nichols returns knowing that he's splitting time with Strev. All about the transition now and he knows it. I think he's fine with that. Doesn't mean he likes coming off the field and tries to make it difficult for Buck (OC) to do that but I think that's the transition plan.
