  • I disagree... let's start McGuire at QB and Streveller at RB.... 😂

  • Let’s piss and moan about losing AH for a couple of games. Include how wrong he was to get caught. Add, he deserves it, the league is out to get him, or any other opinion that pops up.  The way t

Someone always has to say this.  If you really believe that, you've got a very short memory.

Except I’m not that someone

Yup..roll with Augustine..he is more than capable.. Riders will still have to respect the play action..or RPO cause if vfc they dont..they still will get burned

Be the perfect time now to sub in Grant for Lawler or Matthew's on certain sets.. major motion. 2 fast guys to have to send coverage to cover with motion out of backfield and still have to contend with Strev and whoever the rb will be

Yup, roll with Augustine.

He runs well, is anxious, and the Riders don’t really know him.

Its the perfect time.

And it is a way to keep August going on September 1st.

It’s time to hand the ball to Augustine.

We also have a running back playing QB atm 😎, but seriously give Augustine a chance and don't mess up the ratio.

Won't have to mess up ratio.  We had backup LB and DB last week as DI's.  Can easily put Santiago on for one of them and pop on Dondre Wright for John Rush to chase kicks and backup secondary/WIL/SAM.

I would bring Santiago onto the roster and give them both snaps

The Santine mix. I like it

Devils Advocate.

If you're the league why would you suspend one of your marquee players for the highest rated game of the the most important non playoff weekend of games . Could this suspension have not waited ?

It waited already. The process is the process. The game is going to get eyes either way.

Oh yes, forgot about Santiago. Can he actually play?

Darn tootin' Santiago can play.

Places like Popeyes and GNC dont care about the end user. They have thousands of products from multiple companies all over the world. To them they want your money and will sell anything not knowing what is actually in the product(s). Which really tarnishes the few companies that actually do product testing and will back their products with scientific testing, documentation and make the results available to the user.

GNC is also know to take product and cut it with soy fillers to make more money.

Uh... because he was cheating? If Harris didn't want to get suspended, he shouldn't have played with fire. The timing of the suspension sucks, sure, but some conspiracy nuts seem to think the league has it out for us (which is preposterous) and intentionally timed it for the back-to-back games with the Riders. The league took so long because they likely didn't want to suspend him until they were absolutely sure he was in violation of the drug policy. The CFL would look way worse if they suspended him prematurely, only to find out it was a false positive.

What you are suggesting is nothing short of utilitarianism i.e. "greater good" mentality, the fact it's the highest rated game and he's a marquee player are irrelevant - rules are rules... the drug policy and suspension rules are in place to protect the sanctity of sportsmanship - they should be applied to Harris in the exact same fashion as any other player.

Well then I suggest Andrew should get it tested, hire a lawyer and sue the company for lost wages.

Clearly, you're not Lawyer CFL.

Can't just go with Augustine, we don't have a CDN to back him up. Santiago is the way to go...maybe split the reps.

You can if you have same roster as last week they started 8 Canadians. Minus HarrIs it’s still seven.

Need a minor swap of backups.  Santiago can either be DI or counted as "starter" with no restrictions on his subbing in.

Too bad you don’t get credit for starting an international - Hansen has played great

so many injuries and our backups step up - I don’t see that changing just because it’s Harris

Santiago is the better back than Augustine so play him.

meh, his only mistake was getting caught. Half the league is doping or on some sort of supplement that will be on a banned list within the next 5-7 years.

People are in dreamland if they think that drug use is uncommon.

Look at the muscle mass on some of these players. No way a person gets that big without doing some kind of drug. It's not possible.

Look at the "clean" body builders. Runts compared to the guys that take drugs.

Fainaru-Wada and Yesalis dropped some bombs:

While the journalists' efforts have sparked countless federal investigations into the use of steroids in baseball, Fainaru-Wada said other sports have done very little, even turning a "blind eye" to the problem.

He cited the National Football League's astute public relations tactics as reason why the league "skated on the issue."

"You look at these guys, these are not the normal human beings that we all coexist with. Some 300-pound guy running a 4.4 in the 40 is not normal," Fainaru-Wada said.

no kidding.

Sad but true reality, always makes me wonder how many of the greats used drugs to get ahead and never ended up getting caught...

Like this guy? Still has his medals.

Carl Lewis has broken his silence on allegations that he was the beneficiary of a drugs cover-up, admitting he had tested positive for banned substances but claiming he was just one of "hundreds" of American athletes who were allowed to escape bans.

"There were hundreds of people getting off," he said. "Everyone was treated the same."

Lewis has now acknowledged that he failed three tests during the 1988 US Olympic trials, which under international rules at the time should have prevented him from competing in the Seoul games two months later.

And just like the people on this thread whining about Andrew, Canadians were ashamed, and angry and dissapointed when Ben Johnson tested positive. And is gold was given to a guy who was doing the same thing he was.

It's even more ridiculous when you consider the drugs that are legal, the painkillers that these guys take in large quantities, that are probably worse for them than steroids.

So do we think that part of Harris not practising last week was cause they knew this was going to be coming and wanted to get the backups some more time with the 1s knowing they'd need them?
