2019 CFL Season: Around the League

Pre season action 1PM PT

BC at Edmonton

3 Areas To Watch

Number 2 Pivot: Who Steps Up?

BC - Ricky Lloyd and first-year Leos Austin Apodaca and Cole Sears will handle the quarterback reps in hopes of getting a leg up on sticking behind Reilly on the depth chart.

Edmonton- Danny O’Brian, Logan Kilgore, Briscoe.

- One big observation in the first week of camp is the depth at receiver. Standouts at the position have included Joey Augustin, Marquis Bundy and Mexican additions Fernando Richarte and Gerardo Alvarez. All CFL clubs are required to keep one global player on their roster beyond training camp.

- Defensive Line: Calling On Another Bookend

With Odell Willis having another strong showing in camp, the big question remains who will line up as the other bookend.

- Linebacker Adam Konar gets to battle some of his own teammates after he was cut loose and quickly picked up by the Lions on day one of camp. He’ll start at MLB

Oh ok, what's the name of the former MTL running back in BC now? I always get those too confused.

Either way, solid signing. Is Mashall not getting it done?

Mysteriously 6 gamed.

Five years ago maybe...  now its desperate

Wouldn't hurt to try. Might have just enough for stretch drive. Condell's offense doesn't ask much from RBs,

Sutton was traded to BC from Montreal but signed as a free agent with Toronto in 2019.

Brandon Rutley is a former Als RB who is currently with BC.

Somebody give this guy a look will ya..

Complaining on social media is always a surefire method for getting your way.......oi. He knows how this business goes....there's always younger guys waiting in the wings. Never mind younger guys that don't have the serious injury history of ol' Momar....

Are you telling me, a 30 + yr old who suffered a torn Achilles can't get a look in a pro league where he kinda faded after coming back from said injury? Nevermind the salary he'd likely command. Color me shocked. I used to follow him on twitter, but it honestly was getting kinda sad.

he'd only get the league minimum, and that's all he'd ask for, but even at that rate I wouldn't take him over a young guy with upside. I love Mo and everything he did for this organization, but yes....sad is the right word.

I would 100% take Leggett on the PR or over Korey Jones...  he is an instant upgrade at safety or insurance at Sam

in 2015....

Mo was a monster for the Bombers. Wish we could get the Mo Leggett of 2016. But a las he’s old, and never fully recovered from his injury. No matter how great you are time or injuries will catch up with you eventually. No shame in that. He was an all time great and a play maker in every sense of the word but time to let it go.

I'd agree if Korey Jones and Hecht weren't on our roster... Leggett is still better with more football savvy that both those guys

His best and only bet would be Toronto.

And younger than Hecht..

Leggett would actually be a great locker room guy in Montreal for Lokombo and Levels

If Mo was Canadian I could see him still on a roster somewhere in the league. But a damaged 30+ year old American just doesnt stand a chance. Not at the safety position.

I don't know where they left that Import with enough years=Natl. rule change in the CBA, but would be happy to see Mo......or really anybody replace Hecht.

But our passing yards/game are so low... how can we possibly win games with such a poor passing attack?!

Nichols is still tied for second in the league in passing Touchdowns even though he’s missed three games. Funny.

Not that funny. Only two QBs have played every game for their team this season up to this point.
