2019 Main Training Camp

(2019 Main Training Camp

Can’t remember a start to a main training camp where, even though we have openings at several spots (7?), we seem to have prepared to fill those spots with quality players and good prospects.

Highlights coming into camp are the signings of Willie Jefferson and most certainly Chris Mathews. Not to mention the signing of all our draft choices, some of whom could be dynamic.

We got bigger and better at receiver prospects.

We’ve stacked the defensive line to make it easier for Bighill.

We’ve added defensive backs and linebackers to fill any perceived shortcomings.

Little by little, day by day, shortcomings will be noticed and those players will fall by the wayside.

It’s training camp and the veterans will teach the newbies..in more than one way.

Today, medicals and film room. Good luck to all. Let’s put out the best lineup we possibly can.

A beautiful even warm day today at our wonderful IGF for training camp with the loveLy Sarah Orlesky in attendance. I started watching, the offence was running no huddle plays against the defence. On

A BIG ADDITION, PART II:

The way the presence of Matthews impacts the offence will also be occurring on defence, where end Willie Jefferson makes the Bombers front seven as imposing as any in the CFL.

As difficult as this may be to fathom, Jefferson looks even bigger than the 6-6, 245 he is listed as on the roster. His first step is lightning quick, his wingspan is massive and he sets the same tone in practice as others like Adam Bighill and Brandon Alexander do on defence.

I don't recall the riders doing this last year but I would love to see some goal line packages that include Jefferson...

Meh...lots of threads, only two threads....it's kind of irrelevant to me. The content is far more important to the over all enjoyment.

Life is too short to spend arguing with relative strangers (and I do have strange relatives). If this is the worst thing to happen to you all week, you live a charmed life.

Farmer... from Nebraska.. lol  this writes itself!

I thought Farmer was added to the sask rednecks a couple days ago.. weird.

For those who have gone to camp and/or following more closely.   Does anyone expect any vets to be cut and replaced by a new recruit?

Bombers working on special teams in preparation for Fridays preseason opener vs Edmonton. Lucky Whitehead shows dazzling speed on one of the punt returns.

On a MOS team? Highly unlikely...

Anyone who follows the Cowboys knows that Whitehead doesn't have any problem with speed it's between the ears that slows him down

That's never slowed anyone down on here... shouldn't be a problem on a football field

Day 9 Recap

Brady Oliveira- “For me, I’m just looking forward to that game and finally to put on that jersey with my last name on it and to finally go against an opponent rather than my teammates,” began Oliveira after a late Monday afternoon practice.

Kenny Lawler - “He’s caught a lot of footballs that have been around him… and some of them sometimes aren’t near him and he still catches them,” said head coach Mike O’Shea. “He’s shown everybody here that he’s got exceptional focus and very good hands. Those are obviously very positive things for a receiver.”

Michael Couture - “We’re a physical, tough offensive line that knows what it is doing. It plays as a unit. I’ve seen it from 2016 and with how little change there’s been they’ve been able to keep that standard high. It’s something I’ve loved being a part of and want to help uphold.”

I'm pumped to see Whitehead returning on Friday, Oliveira running the ball, the receiver battle and its goes on and on and on

You sure that's the right picture of the guy? The guy in the above picture looks more like a HB to me! (But then again, I'm not standing next to him either!)

I’m pretty sure I know how to use Google. Do you have Google in Saskatchewan?
