Bomber Moves 2018

Sorry but I don't like the total silence coming out of Bomberville, but that's just me; I like action and news  like all of you.  Yes we've extended a contract or two and we are distributing the year-end money before the 2018 salary cap  comes in.

But what are the deep thinkers in our organization planning to do?

I hope they are not thinking status quo; that never seems to work out well. Unless we are dedicated to making sharp improvements here and there, I believe we atrophy from last year.

After the 2017 NFL cuts were made did we bring in any linebackers for a sniff? I saw other prospects up here but maybe I missed something.

We have got to fix what's broken and I think somehow management must know more than we do ... we are good prognosticators with our comments on this site but I would like management to show us up.

We are not hearing a lot of news out of the Calgary and Edmonton football clubs so maybe our Blue Bombers are an elite club now (as we join those two in their silence).

But man I hate twiddling my thumbs as I wait to see what our local gurus are going to do. No news is bad news, say the bored ...  Well at least were not coming off seasons like Ottawa Hamilton and Montréal had.

So maybe I should be grateful for our club and its management.

Say what you will about Mike O'Shea but no one can ever overstate how valuable he has been in turning around the perception and culture of this franchise.

  • TSN1290 reporting that SK offered the most money, but he chose Winnipeg.

I wish. Does Bighill deserve to be the highest paid International Defensive Player in the CFL?

That title currently belongs to Solomon Elimimian, which means a Bighill return to B.C. will require a "Hometown Discount" which might happen as Bighill's wife is from Vancouver and Bighill kinda owes BC for taking a fine for letting him go to the Saints.

it's only $2,500

Having shared an elevator with Mr and Mrs Bighill in Vancouver I will just say good work Mr Bighill.

Wally could probably find that under his sofa cushions.

Two more DB's down, it sounds like the Bombers may be experiencing a few no-shows on the first day of camp.

Winnipeg has transferred Internarional defensive back Travis Howard to the retired list and released International defensive back Ezra Robinson. #Bombers

Johnny Augustine! I remember he was being talked about as a first or second round pick in 2017, then nothing came of it.

I think Wpg. is now his third team. Esks. Riders, Bombers.

More Canadian depth at runningback can’t hurt. With our depth at Canadian receiver being pretty raw we might see LeFrance/Harris on the field at the same time with one being more of a slotback. So having more Canadian depth on the roster at runningback may be essential. It’s not a bad idea to for the team to give itself options.

Pressley had a very impressive TC with the Vikings in 2016. Highlight reel stuff. If not for some very impressive depth ahead of him he may have made that team. Could be a sleeper pick for surprise of TC.

They certainly didn't last too long.

It' all numbers, Bombers are at the point of having to delete players in order to add new ones, so hard decisions have to be made....sometimes before they even touch the field.

Glad to hear that Travis Howard got to retire as a Bomber....

I for one am glad that Rich doesn't handle membership the way the Bombers are handling DBs thus far.😀

I heard he returned his signing bonus because he thought it was the right thing to do rather than be a ****** bag.

Doubles-crosser

Johnny Augustine!!!  This is like my dream CDN RB core ha

And Brisly Estime is now my favourite Bomber.

Donteea Dye is a close second though... as long as its pronounced Dontcha Die.

Bauming saying Estime has been released. Failed physical

jhurell pressley reminds me a lot of keith stokes. Excellent speed and speed tool set. A guy who will bounce around and run backwards a mile to try and gain an inch. Doesnt look like he has the power to truck over guys, but does run hard and isnt brought down easily or by arm tackles. Gets up to speed quick too. He might be the biggest threat to take some ones job as a DI returning kicks. And would give us even better depth at RB. The fact he catches the ball out of the back field well is a bonus too.
