Just heard on the radio about this. That would be a huge blow to the Jets. I would speculate that the off-season rumours of ruffled feathers in the dressing room might ring true and this may have affected Byfuglien himself.
If he does retire that leaves a major hole on the defence. You don't just simply replace him.

Wow all these guys returning from injury bodes well for the club. I hope they don't rush them until they are fully healed though. Looking forward to the MTL game. They aren't the free space on the bingo card anymore!

So I didn't follow the CFL power rankings... but putting the Riders 1st last week and now 4th this week? How does that make any sense?

Jets would be better getting Connor on a long term contract. I would try to sign Laine to 1 year contract to say "Alright.. you want your 10 million, then prove it" cuz he's still an RFA after that.
At any rate, the Jets may need to start adopting a next man up mentality as those two are absent from TC.

Yeah I was jacked and the Bombers didn't disappoint. 6 -0 at IGF this year. And we exposed the riders huge today. They had no answer and had streveler not missed wolitarsky on those deep balls we could have hit 45 pts today . Didn't hear much from Hughes and Johnson today. Jefferson was a beast.

This is a classic "letter or the law" vs "spirit of the law" debate here. By the letter of the law the toothless CFL braintrust is correct...no rule was broken. It's a convenient hiding place for them not to entertain anymore discussion and wash their hands of it.

Well it's official.. the geniuses at CFL determined the hit on Rempel was not dirty and therefore no further discipline is warranted. Also forum favourite and soon to be pulitzer prize winner Paul Friesen says O'Shea was off base for yelling at Dickenson.
I'd use this as bulletin board material and smack the living crap out of the Riders this saturday. I have never ever wanted to win a game so badly like I do on Saturday now.

EXACTLY. You simply don't have the time to brace for impact when you are expected to :
1) Snap the ball with your head down
2) Lift your head
3) Get your feet set
4) And brace for impact.
In a professional football game, CFL or NFL, this has to happen in 1-2 seconds. In the NFL it might even be faster. There's also a reason the long snapper is a designated position since it requires a unique skill set.There's a reason the CFL put this rule in place to protect the long snappers. Delusional Rider Fans will never see the logic in this unless it happened to one of their players.
While we complain about the TSN panel, and their commentary... they are all filled with former CFL stars, who played the game and know the rules and understand the pace the game is played at. If they agree the hit was dirty, Bob Irving agrees the hit was dirty , MOS (another former player and well respected person) thinks the hit was dirty... guess what it's likely a dirty play. I understand that they are sometimes way off base, but that doesn't happen very often. They know what they are talking about... they are the subject matter experts.My .02

Just catching up on all the discussion here... Wow sounds like the Bombers were royally screwed on this game. I hope we absolutely demolish them on Saturday. When Bob Irving complains about officiating you know something is up.
