    That would be wild.

It is bizarre that he struggles to get info on the team he covers and yet has the ability to pocket check every other team in the league.

He knows, he just doesn't want to bite the hand that feeds him, IMO. He has no problem throwing out numbers for other teams but doesn't want to make it seem like the Lions are spending wildly so he keeps that under wraps.

it makes me physically ill thinking of Yoshi in Riders green. Absolutely disgusting. He better be getting WAY overpaid...

He played for them before us so it's not the first time he's done dirty things for money. 😂

I'm sad to see him go due to his personality and energy.  On the field, I think we'll be just fine with Richmond.

hope this is the year he comes back from the States....

I would have to think he plays this year.  I get why he didn't come back and play part of last year after NFL shots weren't happening - he felt a shot at a prorated NFL PR salary was worth forgoing half a year of CFL rookie money.

A full season might be a bit different though and since he has had no other NFL workouts (afaik), it doesn't seem like he has too many options.   He can come play out the last year on his rookie deal, get some more film and see what happens from there.

I don't understand man. What's the difference between Behar and Jake Thomas?

You're the one arguing we should shed this type of player, but know you want to sign another team's version?

For the record, I am totally open to bringing in Behar as veteran depth - but you and others have been adamantly against these deals for our players because they "block a young player".

You're talking as if Behar is a super old guy when he's only 29.  He's the same age as Lawler - who missed a 3rd of the season this year (suspension) and last year (injury).  Would you advocate for the team to move on from him since he fits the same criteria as the one you're applying to Behar?

thats soley my point...One stupid GM wont upset the apple cart....nobody else followed suit...same with dumbdumb in Regina...big overpay for Lanier...yet better players in that position made significantly less....and he goes and does it again....Idiot

And their respective records back-up their smarts.    If I'm another GM, I'm not necessarily inclined to follow their lead.

Agree that smart roster building is the way to go, but it only takes one GM to re-set the market (like Jones did with Lawler 2 years ago - $300K is now the accepted ceiling), and all GMs, including Walters, have to work with that standard going forward or risk losing their top guys like Schoen. Add more money available equally for all teams and all that happens is the ceiling for the top guys will go up as the bidding wars increase. A marquee player rule will not change that reality. And every club, including the Bombers, will overpay depending on their current state (think Travis Bond when we needed to climb out of our hole).

Is it accepted though?  Jones keeps signing receivers to that number (first Lawler and then Lewis) but no other GM has gone there.  Lawler is making $250K but after that nobody was close to that mark (Tim White had the highest max at 220k).  Maybe it's different this year but Jones "reset" in 2022 did not make 2023 salaries follow suit.

Do ppl think sellouts didn’t happen b4 Demski Harris and Brady got here? Hell I remember the ticat boat incident. That was sell out. No local stars then.

ppl don’t care if someone local is on the team. They care about the team winning.

you know what wade cares about more? Putting a competitive team on the field. U can’t do that paying a fn RB over 200k.

No love for Donny O? 😂

Sounds like he was advocating against climate change, not for it.

Among those posts, which remain on his public Facebook page, were claims the fires had been deliberately set by the government to trick people into believing in climate change.
