Well the Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua "fight" was something. A whole lot of running, very little action and the expected result.

In 2025, Ottawa finished sixth in net offence, eighth in offensive points, and ninth in yards per play but was 2nd in offensive time of possession. Long way to say his offense had plenty of opportunity but produced very little.
He does have history with Zach so maybe he can bring some old ZC out.

Not necessarily - you can do community work and not live somewhere full-time. Kolankowski was nominated for the Jake Gaudaur award last year partly because of the work he does in Ontario (running football camps in Oshawa).

I'm not - it's a numbers game. There are so many RB's coming out of college or other leagues but so few spots so if someone wants too much, teams can move on fairly easy. Brady has a lot of value to the club off the field which is why he can ask/get that kind of money and why they should be using a ton marketing money on him.
Would you take Mills or Butler over a guy like Hatcher for similar money?

There's no debate from me that Brady isn't the top RB in the league - I just don't think he's so much farther ahead than the rest that he should be paid double. If he's getting a good chunk paid as marketing money then I think the contract is fair value. We don't have that info yet so we don't really know how good (or bad) of a deal it is,

Brady might occasionally crack 20 touches but his career average is far less than 20-30 a game.
2021 - 7 carries & 0.6 receptions
2022 - 11.2 carries & 1.3 receptions
2023 - 14.4 carries & 2.1 receptions
2024 - 14 carries & 3.5 receptions
2025 - 13.4 carries & 4.0 receptions
Also if RB's are so valuable - why is he the only one making that kind of coin? There are other RB's who put up similar production but make a fraction of what Brady does.

Yup, athletes and officials have seen a huge increase in that sort of thing as betting has become a more mainstream part of sports.

Having said that, it's interesting that they seemingly told Walters that if it doesn't pan out this NFL season, that they'll be in camp come May.
Unless they told Walters something different, his agent didn't specify a timeline when he commented on it a month ago. Weinrauch said he'd be happy to sign here if/when all NFL opportunities are exhausted.
It was was Walters who said they probably won't know until after Feb 1st when NFL futures contracts are signed. That might be something they discussed privately though.

Don't get me wrong- KW does deserve a good portion o the blame.
I think that our new scouting staff is off to a decent start as they have found a few keepers already. You're only going to have so many rookies making an impact (especially with this HC) and they brought in Vavel, Woodbey & Allen this year. If Perkins amounts to anything up here, you can credit Sunderland for that since he's been after him since at least 2019. That said - DB & LB was not our biggest weak spot going so if, during this off-season, they want to focus on getting some stud DL's signed, that'd be much appreciated!

The league had announced a crackdown on abuse of the system last year - that was under Ambrosie though so who knows how Johnston feels about it or how hard they actually enforced the rules.

Yeah but if i guess says he's not going to sign here, we have limited options. It's rare but has happened. Corey Mace did that to us back in the day and never played a snap for us.
