    Perfetti’s record didnt last long.

VGK scored with .4 seconds left to win game.

Record is still intact as it was the latest game 7 winner ever.

Tonight's goal also wasn't the latest gwg ever scored in the playoffs either. Kadri scored with 0.1 seconds left against the Blues in 2019 & Jussi Jokinen scored with .2 seconds left in 2009 against New Jersey.

If a player on any neg list was a guarantee of success then sure. We see lots of players on neg lists that become total busts. Don't we think highly of every player we bring to TC?  Why didn't we sign him when he was still considered as an import rather than waiting for him to qualify as a global?

We had players in TC 2024 that were on our neg list and failed to make the roster. Just saying that the PR and highlight reels about every player is always positive.

All the power to him to show he belongs.  The issue is that as an import he has a more difficult time making a roster as either a starter or a DI because of the ratio. As a global player ( we have 4 ) 2 are punters so he only has to beat out 1 player if we choose to roster a 2nd global on the AR.

There's no guarantees with any player, neg list or not.  The neg list is a mix bag (just like anything else, whether it's draft or free agency), some guys live up to expectations, some don't and some we never see come north.  We may think highly of them but not all players have the same potential/ceiling. A first round draft pick is not viewed the same way a 5th rounder would be even the club thinks high enough of both to select them, but they are not viewed the same. IMO, neg list guys are usually players that teams feel like they could be very successful IF they ever came to the CFL.

As for why we didn't sign him as an import?  Who says we didn't try?  He may have been given advice that getting his global status would be better for him, given that, as far as global players go, he'd be at the top end of talent so his chances of making a team would be greater.

Well I suppose some global player besides kickers /punters might be the one that is actually a good player. It's a little like finding quality QB's. More failures than successes. This is the 5th or 6 year of the global program and I can't identify any global player that made a real impact and actually earned an AR spot.  Global players make rosters by mandate not by prowess.

Maybe Bailey is the 1st but that's a TBD. He might beat out a Canadian but does he actually beat out an import if it wasn't a ratio issue. IE: If he had to qualify as an import does he beat out the others?

Sure he's got a good attitude etc etc but he's not the only one.

The fact that we had him on our neg list before it was discovered he qualified for Global status, shows that they thought highly of him as an import so yeah he could very well beat out other players.

If the CFLPA is saying they need to clarify the process and teams weren’t allowed to be contacted, that really shows there’s a flaw in the process

Also the fact that no penalty was mentioned in the policy.  Want players to take it seriously?  Let them know the consequences for not following the rules.

If there’s one player—just one—in the entire Canadian Football League who absolutely screams 'poster boy for performance-enhancing drugs,' it’s got to be Zachary J. Collaros. I mean, the sheer physical dominance, the unstoppable power, the jaw-dropping speed... it’s almost too obvious, right?

He's clearly too strong for his own good now - so gassed up during GC that he nearly ripped his finger off trying to throw the ball.

Just saw this news wow. Apparently they tried for 2 hours to get ahold of him for drug testing in the off season and he didn’t respond with in 24hrs.
He will fully participate in pre season and tc. CFL and cflpa say they are going to clarify and improve the process of contacting players for testing.

Yeah, it came up as an unknown number so he ignored it (as most people would).  The fact that they weren't using multiple contact points is bush league.  Call MOS or Walters and say we're trying to get a hold of ZC - guarantee he answers that call.

A bi election. Meaning only that area would vote. I’m sure this is where Leila dance will end up after narrowly losing to the conservative in the federal election

Maybe, maybe not.  Municipal politics is much different than federal politics and doesn't pay nearly as well so she may not be interested in that sort of thing.

The timing suggests Charbonneau may have made the decision himself, choosing to stick with his career or partner back East rather than report to TC.  If they were not impressed with his progression they could have parted ways at the end of last season instead of protecting him over Owen Hubert who still wants to play.

He apparently has moved on from football based on an IG post he made but it's odd they wouldn't have just moved him to the retired list.  His post said: “You shaped the boy and tested the man. Thanks for a lifetime in moments.”
