A bi election. Meaning only that area would vote. I’m sure this is where Leila dance will end up after narrowly losing to the conservative in the federal election
Maybe, maybe not. Municipal politics is much different than federal politics and doesn't pay nearly as well so she may not be interested in that sort of thing.

Wow Shay falls to us. We are crazy deep at lber. This guy gonna take a job when he comes up.
I wouldn’t have gone lber mid to high but his upside is incredible. He already did! Walters was 2 steps ahead of everyone and let Charbonneau go because he knew Shay would fall to us. 🤣

John Hodge mock is dead already
How about Ferguson? He didn't even have Veresuk listed anywhere on his list of 72 players and he goes 2nd overall.

wonder who they are targeting in the global draft?
They took DL Kemari Munier-Bailey in the first and punter James Evans in the second.

The CFL has moved the draft up a couple hours tomorrow due to the Leafs game. Starts at 5pm CST now.
Newest draft rankings are out as well.

The timing suggests Charbonneau may have made the decision himself, choosing to stick with his career or partner back East rather than report to TC. If they were not impressed with his progression they could have parted ways at the end of last season instead of protecting him over Owen Hubert who still wants to play.
He apparently has moved on from football based on an IG post he made but it's odd they wouldn't have just moved him to the retired list. His post said: “You shaped the boy and tested the man. Thanks for a lifetime in moments.”

I just sincerely hope these mocks end up being as nonsensical as they seem to be.... Not prioritizing OL/DL with early picks is a recipe for disaster.
The continued belief that we'd use a high pick on a QB just doesn't make any sense to . I get that it's probably one of the best years for Canadian QB's and that's ultra rare and a great story but I just don't see it happening.

FWIW:
Ferguson has his 2nd mock draft up.
Mock Draft 2.0: Who's going first overall to Calgary? - CFL.ca
3DN has their top 20 O-Line for this draft & there are 2 locals listed in the top 15 (#7 & 14) - I wonder if we take one of them on Tuesday.

NFL Hall of famer & former WCW wrestler Steve McMichael.

Yeah I don't think anyone was expecting Charbonneau to be anything other than an ST'er but those guys are needed and guys like Gauthier can't play forever. Just found it odd that they released him with a little over 2 weeks until camp starts - could always use him as TCF, even if they don't see him making the club.

No, of course not. Why would Rogers Sportsnet in the 21st Century spend tens of millions on a sports radio network across Canada to build a national audience for the Blue Jays? Why would the Bombers & Jets have radio networks paying for the rights if it meant nothing? We know how much the 3 telecommunications companies love laying off staff. Anyway, it's always easy to be a Statler or Waldorf. At least wbbfan & I are knocking ideas back & forth to raise ideas for discussion about how the CFL can raise its profile across the country. What's yours?
You may want to go look at that "national" network - Sportsnet Radio consists of a grand total of 3 cities (Vancouver, Calgary & Montreal). Even the Blue Jays Radio Network is more regional than national with most of the stations being in Ontario. In Calgary, you have both but we have neither in MB so how are they building an audience here (or the many other places that don't have their radio service)?

Bombers let Max Charbonneau go - interesting timing to release a young NAT. Wonder if he's hurt?

Hmm trying to think what got starred there. I’m baffled.
It said tarriffs but why OP went back and edited the post to star it out is beyond me. It's not like it's an offensive word. If the board software would have auto-censored it, the whole word would be starred out, not just some of the letters.

Am I crazy to think that there is no way we take a QB in the first two rounds.
No, you're not crazy for thinking that.
I don't think anyone puts out mock drafts worse than Ferguson's. In the past, he's had versions that did not end up with a single correct pick. It gets people talking though so I guess that's the point.

300 is when the loss of draft picks come in though isn't it?
Once they hit 300k is when they lost their 2nd pick.
Had they been 100-300k over, it would have cost them the first round pick only.
Anything under 100k is a dollar for dollar fine.

Losing a 1st and a 2nd, plus a fine for finishing 3rd and losing in the first round of the playoffs. Way to go BC.
Calgary getting 2 extra picks for being incompetent is foolish.
Agreed but they've been rewarding mediocrity through the draft for a few years now. This is just a step from the extra territorial draft picks they've been handing out.
