It's as simple as doing right by a player so that he can sign and get his signing bonus sooner. 💯. It was a classy move by Hervey so that Ceresna can finalize his contract without waiting. Also there is roster limits in the offseason of 85 players. Its possible that Hervey has a bunch of recruits to sign and needed to open a roster spot. It really isn't a mystery why he would release Ceresna if you look at possible factors for doing so.

They could have just released him, which is what most teams would have done. By transferring Ceresna's contract to the Bombers, it eliminated any opportunity for a screw up. Like another team trying to scoop in to try to sign in. Hervey did Walters a favour, maybe he's getting a steak dinner out of the deal.

Why not? We're moving away from one or two Americans on the OL, thankfully. If coaches can make the ratio work there's no need to stack the OL like teams used to. Canadian skills are improving. More & more Canadians are capable of playing skill positions now like linebacker, corner or running back. Which means we can use three American offensive linemen.

Definitely gotta put some love on Alexander's name, not only was he the final piece of our 2019 Grey Cup D, but he also shoved aside that twitter dummy we were starting at safety earlier that year. basically the ultimate WR3. You got distracted by Lawler or Adams or Schoen and Bailey would make you pay.

Big catches, excellent blocker, just super reliable.. could have had a bigger role else where but understood the sacrifices it takes to be a champion. Would love to see the bombers make him a receiving coach down the road if he was interested.

Tell me what players Mace threw under the bus? I'd really like to know... Looks like most of their free agents signed extensions because they wanted to stay & not leave as you are trying to suggest. Yes, some players left just like any other team. It happens every year especially on a defending Grey Cup championship team because everyone wants to be paid & it's impossible. Mace lost some very good players to be sure but he also kept a lot of great ones, too. Why am I defending Mace? I defend him because he's a very good coach. To say otherwise would be stupid. I don't have to automatically hate him just because I hate the Riders. I still respect him & what he's accomplished. Mace has never been in over his head as a Head Coach like Craig Dickenson was. From Day 1, he had a vision of what he wants & he coaches that way. Treats his players like men as he should & they respond positively. He makes them accountable for their actions everyday. Mace doesn't play favourites or gives any free rides, He's also a Grey Cup Champion Head Coach. Which makes it all the more sweeter to beat him when we play the Riders. The CFL isn't big enough to go on either Netflix or prime. I love the CFL.. but outside of Canada it's just not a draw.

We should be looking at big streaming services to see if we could make a deal to go on Amazon Prime or Netflix. You just don't know until you try. maybe also trying to get the games televised in Europe. I mean, if TSN televises German soccer (Bundeslegia) why can't the CFL have a tv deal overseas? It's all about reaching out & if there's interest to negotiate a deal. Imagine the CFL being paid in Euros???
