1 brady. ofc carried the team today. 25-210 yards 2 zach. protected the ball, got it out fast and made good decisions couple tough throws 3 cam allen. some good cover, couple great hits separated wrs from balls which changes how teams can attack you. hh sterns bone jarring catch over the middle block of the game to strevy as a wr lead blocking for brady had a good edge seal crappy honker to that stupid ass siren dunce caps to lawson jr, form tackling on d, hogan honorable mention to strevy for doing a lot in light of injuries, wallace, wilson in short yardage, jones, and wj Unsung hero award to Person. he didn’t record a stat, but he tipped holms pick and had atleast 5 key pressures plus a couple hits. bonus points to having lapo in the booth. he’s soo damn good and improves the quality of life watching games by a ton

They could put Whitney Houston in for Dexter Lawson and it would be an improvement.

What i loved the most about Bradys game last night was the power he was running with. His TD run he got hit, shrugged it off and put his head down and exploded to the endzone. No one was going to stop him there even if they hit him. Dude has unreal strength. He was hitting guys all night when they tried to tackle him. Only way he went down is when dudes just held onto his legs.

I thought this was a good game for the O. Montreal is always going to get pressure, they have a great D. 26 points and 200+ yards for BO, missing their undisputed #1 receiver - there's not much to criticize there
  5. I have to laugh regarding Castillo: when he makes a kick my buddy yells out “Gulf of Mexico”. When he misses a kick it’s “Gulf of America”. A lot more Mexico this year.

A few comments about the game. Glad the Bombers won but there were still a few WTF moments starting with the coaching staff. There was some questionable play calling on both sides of the ball and O’Shea’s time-management skills leave a lot to be desired. Do these guys talk to each other? The O-line played pretty well especially when run-blocking. Kolankowski deserves a lot of the barbs thrown his way but on Oliveira's initial big run (28 yards?), Kolankowski opened it up for him by blocking one defender and then bouncing back to get a second guy. It actually looked like he knew what he was doing. Oliveira was immediately in open ground. I was pleasantly surprised. Lawson, the DB, was terrible at least to begin with. There's a reason the Bombers brought back Houston. The sooner he's inserted into the lineup the better. Why is Kramdi starting at S when Allen is a keeper. Don't we already start more than the minimum required Canucks? Kudos to our Special Teams (good coaching). The kicking game is solid. Castillo always was and it has taken several years but Sheehan is coming around. I like Vaval over Logan as a returner but it's probably too early to judge Logan. Good to see Wilson out there for the 3rd and short plays although he might have been out there because Streveler was lining up as a receiver. Do the coaches not see (what seems pretty obvious to me) that Wilson for whatever reasons is at this point the better option. I’m still convinced that the recent game in Calgary was lost because they used Streveler instead of Wilson on that 3rd and 1 on the Calgary 10. Had we scored on that drive, it would have been a dagger in the Stamps. Collaros played well. Was that his best game in a long while? Oliveira is looking stronger which points to a full recovery from his injury. The next two games will be interesting. Objectively, the Riders are the best team in the league so it will be challenging for the Bombers. Go Bombers Go!

I thought Collaros was fantastic tonight....??

    1. Brady, obviously. No elaboration needed. 2. Demski, even though he played less than a half. The best year of his career, especially relative to what he does compared to the rest of the WR corps. 3. Collaros for some gritty play. Ran for a few first downs on pure effort. Evasiveness in the pocket was pretty damn good. No wild throws into coverage. Escaped the rush a number of times to get it out to Brady. Great job behind mediocre at best pass pro. HH- Wilson for the big gain in SY. Dunce 1- Whoever was responsible for that Chinese fire drill where they took a time count. Dunce 2- The officials for not shutting down the **** with the sirens.

If Demerio Houston can return to form...suddenly our CB situation is looking good. I'm really liking what I'm seeing from Vaval. Uses his athleticism and works hard. Cam Allen's hit on Spieker gave me hope that we can put a decent secondary together. But today the defense was still questionable at times given we were playing an 8th string QB. Offense was surprisingly well executed especially given we were out two of Zach's go-to receivers for most of the game. Have to credit Zach. He made some chicken salad today. Obviously leaned on Brady but I thought Zach had an exceptional game distributing the football.
  11. Strev targetted before Mitchell. Lmao

Subjectively they are a pile of ass. Ehhh, that is actually objectively too.

This is kind of my take away... Mtl's offense was a shell of it's normal self... and we gave up 13 points... not great against a 4th string QB... but not terrible Our O vs their D was basically health vs health (minus Dequoy and Schoen)... and then we were down to 3 viable receivers by the second half... we managed to put up 26 points and get the W To me, this game is a far bigger positive than needing 2 ST TDs to beat a bad Toronto team, at home, a few weeks ago...

I’d like to see what he could do in the slot, we’ve seen he can deal with the tough stuff in the middle. I don’t think it would be the worst idea to switch Wheatfall and Mitchell for a game.
  15. 6 points
Not only did we pick the worst of the bunch of wrs available, and give up the best wr on the market, we actually made the guys we took in worse. I like Sterns, he's a gutsy little guy with tons of effort. Doesn't have the talent or athleticism of Dressler, but he's a good guy to have as the last imp in your starting rotation of wrs. The problem is, every one is the complementary guy, and they all seem to be waiting for some one else to be Kenny lawler. Demski has stepped his game up a good level this year, but he's taken a hell of a battering here and is now banged up. And our offence isn't designed around demskis tool set. We aren't set up for catch and run down field stuff.
  16. Kyrie Wilson had a rough game. Surprised he hasn't got injured yet 10 games in. Would be nice to see JJones in his place soon.
  17. 6 points
And if we're being completely honest, Zach has hung Schoen out to dry more than a few times over the last couple of years and is part of the reason Schoen has taken the beating he has.

Putting in Houston for Dexter Lawson seems like a no brainer now
  19. Streveler already a better receiver than Corcoran

Lapo has been great in the booth today. Actually dissecting what each team is doing. By far TSN’s best
  21. 6 points
Good half from Zach. We’re in desperate need of another play maker on offence though.

Lawson was so close to finally breaking up a pass but Holm was able to hold on.

I'm kind of amused I called Streveler for another return to the receiving corps... But there HAS to be a better solution for emergency receiver than the Back Up QB 11 months removed from ACL surgery right?!? A DB? A returner? Someone who only plays special teams?
  24. 5 points
Montreals offense is obviously banged up, but we beat a no joke defense while missing key receivers. Bombers slowly wore them down with smart play by Zach and Hogan FINALLY let Brady cook.
  25. How the **** are these sirens allowed unless there's a tornado about to hit the hill?
  26. The **** is with the sirens.
  27. @wbbfan said it before but that siren is a penalty. They’ve had it on during the huddle all game.
  28. Mitchell runs like a middle aged man frantically trying to catch the car he accidentally left in drive.
  29. Osh at half time - well boys, we are gonna have to do this with no receivers. Mitchell - I'm feeling pretty good coach! Osh - I said NO receivers!
  30. 5 points
Add Sterns to the injury list. Mitchell might get a target if a couple more guys go down. 😂
  31. 5 points
what’s with all the electronic noise while in the huddle? that’s a penalty
  32. 5 points
tbh hope we don’t force him back that type of hit leaves you at risk

2 and 2 and that's what they come up with
  34. I don't mean to alarm anyone but I think we might be subpar at football.
  35. 5 points
Weak call in our favor. That's refreshing after getting fisted by the refs in back to back weeks.
  36. Yeah TSN has to shut that **** down. You can't broadcast a game with that garbage going on, let alone the effect in the stadium.

Wilson 2 sneaks for 21 yards

Holm's is too small for those kind of tackles.
  39. Hello? Spoiler alert!
  40. So far our only backup receiver has a drop and an offside. Solid.
  41. Worst coached team in the CFL. This is a recording.
  42. We would have been called for a horse collar on that tackle.
  43. At least we have Corcoran.
  44. Best pass Lawson has defended all day and Holm still caught it.

Hogan again insists on calling something incredibly ******* stupid on 2nd and short
  46. More explosions than a Taco Bell bathroom
  47. If we’d signed Hollins (which we should have tried to evidently) he’d still be on the PR
  48. 4 points
Maybe if we put all of them out there at once?

Just embarrassing how many explosions we've given up this year. Christ Almighty.
