I hate to somewhat defend the guy...but his receivers in 2022 have really done him no favors with several drive killing drops.

Fajardo basically needs to run a Matt Nichols dink and dunk offense. Maas is not doing this.

This. His deep balls leave much to be desired but his receivers have dropped many a catchable ball this year. And yes, a Lapo Matt Nichols style offense is exactly what Fajardo needs. A run based short-to-intermediate passing game with the occasional deep shot. They have 2 capable American RB's that they could rotate. That is the type of offense Fajardo needs. Maas is a clueless idiot.

What favors has he done for his receivers? Just saying. How motivated would you be to fight for balls and make tough catches after your QB went out in the media and told the world that he needs better receivers? Sure passes have been dropped, he has also missed wide open targets with regularity too, When a receiver is tentative because he knows the ball may not be delivered accurately drops tend to increase substantially. A pass/catch has to be consistent because once the brain enters the equation it becomes a very complex set of motions. Fajardo's inaccuracy does not allow his receivers to just go out and use their muscle memory. They have to scramble for passes, and when you have to do that drops happen at a much higher rate. Just cause a receiver gets two hands on the ball doesn't make it an easy catch.

Fajardo needs to use his legs more, scramble, and play sandlot and let his receivers run to spots. He cannot sustain drives from the pocket. Jesus Sprinkles is the term I believe they use. Problem is that every DC in the CFL has figured that out and they just play contain on him now and let him self destruct by his own arm. If he could make you pay from the pocket then things would open back up for him, but he can't. For that reason, he has hit his career apex. He is as good as he ever will be and is a Kevin Glenn type talent level. He is a fringe starter in this league.

CoFaj receivers dropped balls....yes. Catchable balls? Debatable. He can't hit the broad side of a barn with a shovel full of peas from more than 10 yards, so most passes are high and/or wide. During the CoFaj reign in The Gap, the Riders have needed big receivers with a huge wingspan to try and compensate for the QBs complete and utter lack of accuracy.

Should the game plan be for Fajardo to start running, even if its a few dashes at first to loosen up coverage on his receivers, he is gonna get dinged again and we all know how well he does when he gets hit.

He's already way too hurt to even play that way.  Not going to get any better in the fall.

And because of your loyalty he awards you one of his Tim Hortons' franchises...

That is why they should sit him down. He's not effective in any way dinged up, and he is much too fragile to play dinged up. The only hope they have of him being semi-sompetent is if he heals his injury completely and starts with the Jesus Sprinkles and hope to hell that Duke, and Shaq earn their salaries fighting for 50/50 balls.

Sorry KG....I meant later in his career KG not the first few years where he was decent.

Yeah more of a Nealon Greene of the modern era.

LOL....the RIders do like themselves a big old helping of Nealon Greene type QBs.

I have been calling Fajardo this generations Nealon Greene for a while now.

Kevin Glenn was 10x the QB

Yeah Kevin Glenn was a much more accurate passer. Quicker release too

Adam Bighill endorses this plan.

Never like to see anyone get injured, let alone someone who gave so much this this team but ....

He's a 35 year old running back.  While this was something of a freak injury, it's also symptomatic of what happens to players who have such a physical style of play and have a tonne of mileage on them. Fingers crossed it's not too severe but based on the way he went out, it doesn't look good.

Yeah....I think it was inevitable that Andrew would be sidelined....He's such a bulling type of back and the injuries are taking their toll....Hate to see a guy go out like that but I think I hear Harris's swan song being rehearsed ....Could be wrong but when you're 35 and getting nic'd so often , it's time to look at ending an excellent career

Yea very hard to cheer against a guy like Harris. So instrumental in our back to back championships. Hope he’s okay. When it happens be nice if he retired a Bomber.
